Well…at least we didn’t get shut out
This was not a Manageable Game^TM
There was a game today??
I’m starting to think we’re not going to win the division
Another good day at the plate for Walker. He’s actually been looking pretty good since coming back. Hopefully this continues, if he and VS2 can just develop into average hitters this lineup would be so much better.
Please commit to being either good or shitty.
I picked up McGreevy in fantasy today. This loss is on me everyone
Infinite sadness
Sell baby sell
Just listened to Woo’s new pod…doing a soft sell would be painfully on-brand for this franchise.
Can we please, for once, stop playing the middle and commit to a direction.
We just need to be more patient.
I don’t think Mo wants to open the doors and have a fire sale. I think he desperately wants this team to finish .500 or above. That would be his legacy 18 years of being either GM or President of baseball operations and the team only had one losing season under his tutelage.
I’m already burnt on Pages. It’s not his fault; he’s a backup catcher. He’s just woefully overexposed.
Man, cardinals are showing noot interviewing everyone in the clubhouse when we clinched the division in 2022, I miss those times…Wonder how long its gonna take for us to get back there
Fedde would have given up a baker’s dozen… so there is at least that.
This “soft sell” stuff is definitely starting to concern me.
I DO believe this team has talent to sneak into a WC spot, even selling our top 3 relievers. Likely? No. But is it very possible? Absolutely.
But with that being said… it’s such a perfect opportunity to be major players in the relief market, so many teams needing relievers right now, and we don’t often find ourselves in a sell position. I’m going to be extremely disappointed and pretty pissed off if we only sell 1 guy. It should be no less than 3
Wait wait, the Braves actually gave us something for Fedde? We didn’t have to pay them to take him?
Fedde to the Braves
Awesome, Fedde to the Braves for a player to be named later.
So, we essentially gave Edman to the Dodgers for nothing.
What a banger of a front office we have.
When this team is bad they are stiflingly bad
We still gotta sell whatever we can.
We can definitely sneak into the playoffs, but this starting pitching staff is going to get destroyed in a playoff series. Let the young guys play as much as possible, win or lose. Experience is a commodity too. This season’s result shouldn’t matter in the planning for the future, as this roster is still years away from being a legitimate contender. Please don’t take a half measure FO.
I’m really excited for the deadline. See what we do.
john mozeliak in the minds of cardinals fans: i’m a conniving, secretive baseball executive with dirt on ownership who takes pleasure in teasing the fans with a mediocre product on the field. nothing is more important to me than my own legacy
john mozeliak in real life (probably): i love my family
