  1. Jones is basically Nolan Gorman on crack. Huge power and athleticism, but running 30% strikeout rates at every level of the minors is terrifying. Really good chance he busts.

  2. His advanced metrics are absolutely terrible. Very high whiff rate in AAA. Basically only does dmg against middle cut 93mph fastballs which is way more prevalent in AAA than it will be in the majors.

  3. Last I read he had a 58% contact rate in AAA, which is lower than Joey Gallo’s worst seasons.

    Anyone who thinks the cardinals are the team who can fix and develop power hitters with ultra concerning whiff rates at this stage is out of their damn mind
