Brooklyn Nets TRADE Cam Thomas To The Detroit Pistons? | NBA Trade Rumors

So, could the Brooklyn Nets be trading away Cam Thomas to the Detroit Pistons this 2025NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. The link to this article is down below in case you want to go ahead and check it out for yourself, but this trade would see the Detroit Pistons receiving Cam Thomas and the Brooklyn Nets receiving Jaden Ivy and Isaiah Stewart. So, in my personal opinion, this would make a lot more sense from the Nets perspective compared to the Pistons perspective. All signs point towards Cam Thomas and the Brooklyn Nets having a bit of a fractured relationship. Uh, some reporting came out a couple days ago that Cam Thomas was only offered like a very insulting two-year contract. I think around $14 million per year if I’m not mistaken on a contract extension. So, all signs point towards Cam Thomas’s camp and the Brooklyn Nets being quite far apart on a contract negotiation. So, I think a trade for Cam Thomas this off season could very well happen. Now, Cam Thomas is a bit of an intriguing player because offensively speaking, this guy can put up numbers and drain buckets and just really be a spark plug in the rotation in regards to an offensive threat and a weapon. Now, Cam Thomas has sort of also been labeled as potentially like an empty calorie player, meaning that he can put up some good stats on weak teams and not have really that much of a factor in regards to his basketball style and winning basketball games. So, I think if he were to go to the Pistons where he would have to play very different and fit into more of a team dynamic uh because of how good this Pistons roster is, this could go one of two ways. Maybe Camp Thomas is an offensive weapon regardless of where he plays and he could be a good compliment next to Kate Cunningham. And truthfully speaking, if that’s the case, this would be a tremendous trade for the Pistons to make, adding a 20 plus point per game score next to Jaden or Kate Cunningham. This could be a one-two punch for the foreseeable future, but the risk of course would be getting rid of some pretty valuable players to this team uh in Jaden Ivy and Isaiah Stewart. So from the Nets perspective, they would be getting rid of a player who they don’t really value that much truthfully in Cam Thomas and flipping him into players that are actually pretty good. Like Jaden Ivy is a very important player uh to this Pistons team. There actually was a report a couple days ago as well that if Jaden Ivy wasn’t injured, the Pistons may have gotten out of the first round. That’s how they view this guy in regards to his impact on basketball. Plus, you get Isaiah Stewart who plays with some good energy, good defensive presence. I think if you’re the Brooklyn Nets, you’d love to make this deal. The only question mark to me would be, do the Pistons pull the trigger on a Cam Thomas trade? I think for Jaden Ivy, I I really don’t think this happens. But regardless of what I think, leave your thoughts. I think the winner of this deal to me is the Brooklyn Nets. But as always, leave your thoughts.

  1. Nets got too many guards that is why they low balling Cam, they wouldn't want Ivey and why would the Pistons give up a versatile big in Stewart?
