A Philadelphia Flyers Rebuild, Except I Traded Everyone But Michkov

now the Philadelphia Flyers certainly aren’t a great team but I don’t think that really surprises anybody they were clearly entering a rebuild they have a few decent pieces though you got Travis conne 89 overall he’s got Elite potential he is someone you can build around you also have mov 87 overall High Elite potential he’s the guy you want to build around and that’s exact what we’re going to do today we’re going to build this entire team around Mish kov by trading absolutely everybody we are going to trade everyone on the Philadelphia Flyers except for Mish kov we’re going to build this entire team around him by trading everyone is that a very logical thing to do absolutely not considering we have guys like Jamie Dale here who could be good players but we’re not using any logic today we are trading absolutely everybody before we trade everyone though there’s actually one very important thing that we have to do so let’s head over to the coaching staff and fire John torella we got to make this somewhat realistic and this is probably going to be the only realistic thing I do in today’s video so John Torell is going to be fired we’re going to bring in our assistant coach to be our head coach this team is clearly going to lose every game but you know what that might be for the best now there was a couple players on the Philadelphia Flyers that had no trade Clauses or no movement Clauses and clearly I had to change those if we’re going to be trading every player on this team so what I did is every player that had a no trade clause or no movement Clause they got a modified no trade 2019 protection so guys like Travis sanheim there’s only going to be three options for me to trade him to we can trade him to the Chicago Blackhawks which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever the Montreal Canadians or the toron mate beliefs so we’re going to trade to either Montreal or Toronto because realistically those are the only two teams that Mak somewhat sense Chicago that makes absolutely no sense whatsoever Shan cachera we’re going to going to see the TR map police once again but we’re also going to see the Carolina Hurricanes and Amon Oilers you’re probably going to be shipped over to Carolina because that would actually make a little bit of sense you could be a good centerman for them but there’s one other player and who is that other player well it’s Nick seeler and the one difficult thing about Nick seeler one he doesn’t have a lot of trade value two he’s getting paid 2.7 million so more than likely he’s going to want to go to a contending team and is that the case sort of I mean Chicago is definitely not a contending team Detroit’s not really a contending team either Montreal is a wild card team so this deal might end up being easier than I thought but now that we know what these players Clauses are we know who we’re going to be trading away here let’s go make some moves all right so it’s time to get the trades underway Sean Cera you’re going to be sent over to the Carolina Hurricanes yeser YY Jack Ross lck are both going to be acquired here trading Shan Cera is just incredibly difficult like evon’s not going to have cap space Toronto’s not going to have cap space Carolina they might have the most cap space out of those teams so Shan Cera over to the Carolina Hurricanes we’re definitely going to have to include a pick or something so I’ll throw in a third round pick for 2026 I don’t think this is going be enough but I think it’s pretty close they’re saying no about multiple fifth rounders I’ll give you two fifth rounders as well and I think this should be enough for Carolina to accept and it looks like it will be so our first trades in the books here time to move on to trade number two before we do that here if we bring in a lot of vets that’s certainly not going to help our rebuild but Jamie Dale Tyson Forester I’m sending both you guys over to the Winnipeg Jets G valer and C Peretti you guys would help a ton here they’re going to be saying no to this package but I think a couple picks will make the difference like potentially even a third round pick for 2025 will help us get this done and it looks like it will so Travis Anheim I was going to send you over to Toronto but that deal would just be impossible to get done with all the no mve movements and all the no trades and the modified node trades that wasn’t happening so sanheim is going to be sent over to the Montreal Canadians instead Patrick l and Kirby doc are both going to be brought in so we’re getting a pretty solid playmaker we’re getting an Elite Sniper and Patrick l cuz I know for a fact he’s going to be able to perform with this team we’re going to have to include a draft pick but it’s just a 2026 fourth rounder so I’m perfectly fine with giving that up now I think we’ve almost brought enough forwards to the team but you know what how about we pick up a couple more Morgan Frost Matt Coronado Connor zeri all three of these guys be acquired Owen tip and cam y are going to be shipped out unfortunately this isn’t enough so we might have to throw a prospect in this deal then again Calgary does have enough cap space where I could just throw zamula in we can get this done but I’m going to want a draft pick back like if I’m giving you zamula you got to give me a third rounder or something so I’ll give you zamula you give me two third rounders and we call this a fair deal they’re saying no I’ll take up this third rounder are they going to be accepting that I understand that you guys don’t want two defenseman here but I need to throw something in the deal I guess I can give you Arison but if I’m going to give you Arison you give me Dustin wolf cuz that’s fair so this is going to be the biggest trade by far bar jet luchenko I’m going to throw you into this deal and I’m probably even going to throw a second rounder in I’ll include Calgary’s second round pick so I’ll send that back to Calgary we’re getting Morgan Frost Matt Coronado Conor zeri and Dustin wolf I’m perfectly fine with that package right there I think we’re finessing them now I think this deal is going to be enough after we include this seventh round pick Andre in a seventh for Mason lowai Mason lowai is going to play some defensive minutes for us we didn’t have to give up too much there so I don’t mind that trade now we’re going to be in a really tough spot here cuz I’ve just noticed I’ve used up quite a few of my draft picks and I don’t really want to use any second first round picks so this is probably going to be the last pick we include in the deal sealer in a six round pick over to the Red Wings we bring in Ras M I’ve seen this guy progress in like an 86 even an 87 overall so I think this deal is going to be pretty solid for us so we got to ditch the RAS wrist line contract but we also got to make sure that we can reach a s cat floor so Mario Ferraro and clim C are both going to be acquired Bobby Brinks also going to be included in this deal we probably could have gotten a couple more assets there but we got to make sure we can get rid of the rest of line contract now that we’ve been able to do that we’re going to be flying so we got to pick up some more defens broberg you’ve been pretty solid this season 84 overall now who else has been solid Dylan Holloway what an absolute fleece I just have to bring that up we completely flee those boys all right so we still need a couple more defenseman here and we have a couple guys left on the Philadelphia Flyers we have to trade away Noah cage and pink both you guys are going to be shipped over to Utah we’re bringing in valaki so we are going to have to trade one more pick away in order to get the steel done however we are going to get some picks back delore and the second round picks going to be shipped over to Vegas we’re getting Zack whitecloud and two third rounders I don’t think we going to be able to get two third rounders but if we can walk away with one I’m going to be happy here but I guess I’m not going to be happy we’re not getting any third rounders so how about you give me fourth rounders instead a fourth and fifth round or I think that seems pretty fair Vegas is still saying no to that how about you give me one fourth round pick or just give me no picks at all we can do that as well or don’t accept the deal at all that works as well now unfortunately we are going to have to trade one more pick away here it’s going to be a second rounder in delorier but we’re going to be picking up zel wagger so I think this deal is going to work out for us ideally we can get at least one pick back here maybe we’ll be able to steal a third round pick away from the Anaheim Ducks they’re going to be saying no I don’t really want a fourth rounders we’ll just do this like I probably could have gone a fourth or fifth rounder in the deal but those aren’t lucrative like the seventh round pick now one more move has to be made before we can officially get into this rebuild Connor Zer I’m actually going to have to flip you over to the Chicago Blackhawks cuz we have to make sure we can reach the Sal cap floor in order to reach the Sal cap floor Ty berzi and kersha both have to join our team so I’m going to offer this pack of over of course Chicago’s going to be saying yes now we’re ready to roll no I lied there’s one more trade we have to make I completely we didn’t have a backup goenda that deal would be enough apparently not so who do we have on this team that basically has no value whatsoever but will probably be enough to get this deal done this AHL player right here now the deals are complete so now that all the trades are complete this is the team we’re looking at valard JJ PKA and meof on the first line then we’re going to have Patrick l Cole Peretti and Ty bzi on the second line the one thing this team’s desperately missing Superstars and a good coach we have to fire John torella so we have a terrible coach right now therefore this team is going to be very bad for season number one however we’re showing a lot of potential because of all the young guys so I think we’ll be in a good spot in 5 years but we shouldn’t get too far ahead of ourselves here cuz we do have to hand out extensions and there is quite a few extensions that have to be handed out we’re going to start with valard and we’re going to be looking at 5.6 million for the next six seasons considering that he’s already an 87 overall that’s a really good deal moving on over to Bo Barum he’s going to be one of our top defenseman so 4.7 million for the next three years I can work with that JJ bker are you going to continue with the amazing deals yes you are we’re going to be looking at 4.9 million maybe even less than that we’re going to be looking at 4.6 million 4.6 for the next four how about we do 4.5 for the next four moving on over to our next extension that’s going to be Jack rosic I don’t know if I want to give him $4 million that seems like a bit much consider he’s going to be playing some bottom six minutes for us so I’m going to hold off on that deal right there mat Coronado let’s see what you’re looking for Coronado is looking for 2.2 million so I can certainly do that Morgan Frost we’re going to have to keep him around but 4.4 million no I can’t do that I know you used to be on this team then you got trade to Calgary and then I brought you back but I just can’t give you 4.4 even Mason low ride this seems like a little bit much but you’re playing second pairing minutes for us I can do 3.9 moving on over to kers youv next we’re doing 1.5 for the next two years that’s a good cheap contract for the bottom six and I think that’s probably going to be the final move so with all the extensions complete all the trades complete we can finally get into season number one and watch this team lose every game because we know we’re not going to be competitive JJ PKA why you got to do that to me why do you have to be the lone player not to accept your contract so watch me go offer him a deal now and he’s going to be looking for like $15 million it’s going to be something ridiculous JJ PKA no longer wants sign an extension how much money is he looking for 6.2 we could have gotten a significantly better deal done but this is going to be too bad 5.5 million for the next four I can still live with that all right JJ pker you’re getting exactly what you want just because you’re refusing to sign with the team I’m offering you a very fair deal and you just won’t accept it like now you only want 3 years if we’re doing 3 years it’s got to be 5.7 million I’ve almost maxed out your contract interest so there’s no reason you say no to this I know you don’t want an extension but I don’t care JJ petkey will join this team I have offered incredibly Fair deals to you but for some reason you just won’t accept them and he finally does you made that way too difficult so I don’t think it’s much of a surprise the Philadelphia fers are one of the worst teams in the entire league but how are we actually not the worst team in the entire league we’re 22nd with a 2730 and six record how in the world are we this good we shouldn’t be this good we should be like one of the worst teams in the entire league just because of coaching we have good players here don’t get me wrong but because of coaching alone this team should be one of the worst and I don’t understand how we then again we do have a pretty solid goal tender in Dustin wolf he has a 904 and a 332 so he’s not playing great this season but this team’s not good so yeah I can’t really expect him to do too much I do think we should make a couple trades here like we have a couple guys that I definitely want to be trading away one of those guys is Jack rosic clearly he’s not going to be returning to the team so we’ll trade way at 50% retained and hopefully get a decent young player so this is the trade I’m looking at making Jack rosik at 50% retained over to the Devils we bring in Dawson Mercer as well as a second round pick Dawson Mercer he’s younger than Jack rosic he’s got better potential at this point in time so maybe just Jack Ross like a 50% retainer for Daws Mercer they’re gting an absolute steel here but you’re not really gting that much of a steal unless you resign Jack Rossi and bro is looking for like $5 million so yeah I’m happy with what we got there now I will say I’m incredibly impressed with the Philadelphia Flyers I did not expect this team to win 35 games and somehow be 25th in the entire league I thought we were going to be dead last I thought we were easily going to be one of the worst teams in the entire league I mean technically we were one of the worst but we weren’t the worst and there’s a big difference mov is going to lead the Ws picking up 884 points including 38 goals valard had not too bad of a season picking up 69 points JJ Peta 63 Patrick l 59 points 29 goals he held up his end of the bargain he was actually pretty Sol this season Dustin wolf you did what you could this season but yeah clearly the Philadelphia Flyers weren’t winning this year I think we all knew that we were going to be a terrible team we had terrible line fits we had a terrible coach we basically had terrible everything here except for like five players you know what it’s the beginning of the rebuild and we need a season like this and the reason we need a season like this is because we’re going to jump to the first overall pick for the first time in history what if I told you I lied to you and we ended up dropping from8 to nine you would all believe that because that’s incredibly realistic so we got ourselves the ninth overall pick but one thing that we do have to remember here is we have a lot of first round picks and these first round picks have a lot of value so drafting guys like Porter Marton I don’t really know how helpful they’re going to be I’m still going to draft Porter Martone because he has medium lead potential but I might flip him all right so por Marton was a good enough selection like at least he had medium Le potential however however with these next two draft picks we’re not going to be able to get someone with medium lead potential so we might as well trade them away and get somebody that’s going to be able to help the team right now and we’re going to be able to get those players from the Ottawa Sanders Thomas Shabbat and Ridley Greg two great pieces for us Ridley Greg you might hold a role in the top six in the future but I can’t guarantee that Thomas Shabbat though you are going to play some first line minutes maybe we don’t even get Ridley Greg in this deal but if we can walk away with Thomas Shabbat we’re definitely winning also this is just Peak Knowledge from playing NHL 25 so much unknown scouting what are the odds he has medium lead potential Wow who’ have seen that coming it’s almost like I knew that so we’ve made to the resign phase we have $8 million to work with I don’t know who we’re going to be signing here but we don’t really have too much money to spend Morgan Frost going bring you back for $2 million on a one-year deal more than likely you will get moved at some point clim cson I don’t even know if I should bring you back like you’re looking for 1.6 million you know what 1.6 to play in the fourth line really isn’t the end of the world so you’re going to be rejoined the team with everyone else I think we’re just going to be looking at two-way contracts here Jacob pel you want 1.4 million I don’t know if I want to give you that can I just qualify you as an RFA you get 800k for one season if you accept your qualifying offer that’s probably all I’m going to give you also I guess I can bring our backup goenda 975k for 2 years that works for me all right so we got through the resign phase didn’t really have to do too much there but we do have to worry about extensions and that’s where the big money is going to be kicking in now right after I say that Phil broberg I’m giving you like 4.7 million so yeah that’s not really big money we’re actually going to be looking at 4.5 million so yeah that’s basically nothing Philip broberg exactly what you’re getting paid right now it’s actually 80k less Patrick Lon there’s no way you’re going to be asking for $8 million this is pretty reasonable so Patrick l is going to be com back to the team 6.1 for the next four as a second line sniper for us he’s actually pretty solid moving on over to Cole Peretti he’s going to be looking for a nice little 6×6 but I’m not giving him a 6×6 we’re going to be looking at a 5×6 and surprisingly a 5×6 is actually almost reasonable we’re going to do 5.2 for the next six seasons so Cole per is going to be sticking around zel wigger you’re a good young defenseman I want to make sure that you’re locked down for a handful of years so we’re going to do $3.9 actually $4 million for the next three Kirby do you’re looking for 3.7 million and considering that we have have a lot of cap space right now I’ll give you this but I’m not going to give you 3.7 I’m going to give you 3.3 for the next two Mario Ferraro we got to give you a deal as well and for one year I can do 3.3 million so you’re 3.3 for one year more than likely after next season we’ll let you walk and then the big deal of course is going to be Dustin wolf here I don’t care if what he wants he’s going to get it now we’re actually not really going to do too much over the off season we’re going to make one free agent sign that’s going to be Henry Yoki Haru $2 million for the next three years and that’s it we’re going to run it back with the exact same team and you might think that’s really stupid however we made one critical change to this team we actually have a coach this time we have a competent coach and I think as long as we give these guys a year to develop we could be cooking in just two seasons all right so with a new coach and much better line fits here I’m expecting that we’re going to have a way better result I think we’re going to be a fringe wild card team we’re clearly not going to be winning Stanley Cup this season but we can work on it also Patrick l I do not want you as our Center Cole Peretti is the center I don’t know what we’re cooking up here line you’re not that guy for us when it comes to the defense though that’s actually pretty solid Tomas Shabbat Bo bym Phil broberg zel wigger is the top four here zel wiger is going to keep on getting better broer is going to keep on getting better the defense is going to be even better in just two seasons then when it comes to go tending we have 88 overall Dustin wolf he’s the guy that we can certainly rely on here so even though we didn’t really do too much over the off season I’m expecting this team to win like 10 additional games there’s also a very good chance this team wins like one additional game and we’re basically in the exact same spot but you know what we’ll learn on the fly yeah so you remember how I said we were going to be like a fringe wild card team we’re seventh in the entire league at the trade deadline a third 37 20 and6 record so we’re really good I don’t know how we’re this good but we are mv’s got 72 points 32 goals F’s got 69 points JJ PK’s got 56 points Cole Peretti Tower berzi everyone’s performing this season I think we might make one or two changes to the second line here Cole Peretti I want you sticking around Patrick l I would like you to stick around Tower bzi though I’m going to be honest you weren’t a part of this team’s long-term future you’ve actually been performing better than I thought Dustin wolf you’re performing way better than I thought this team is overachieving like crazy we’re destined to either win the Stanley Cup or get absolutely smoked in the first round and no in between all right now I just want to apologize right now to Porter Martone because we’re trying to win right now and Porter Marton when I drafted you to this team we saw headlines talking about how Porter Marton alongside mechkov they are going to be two of the greats in the game they were going to play side by side they were going to absolutely dominate now I’m sending you over to the Buffalo Sabers and you probably won’t even be a 20-point player cuz that’s how it works in Buffalo they just ruin careers now we are going to make one more trade here cuz I just think this would be an amazing deal for us us a first rounder for 2026 cuz that’s not going to have a lot of value because we’re going to be winning a Stanley Cup and Tower berzi for mint yov if they accept this they’re crazy there is no reason you should even consider this deal but with this second round pick for 2027 I think you’re interested I think the Anaheim Ducks are interested in this right now and if we throw enough draft picks at them they’re probably going to accept it so I clearly haven’t offered enough so far but we do have a mediumly potential go tender I could throw into this deal I’m going to throw him into the package this is a huge deal for mof but it’s going to be accepted so with those two trades anything so last season we won a Stan the cup and you know what we up at this season first in the entire league a 5976 record with one of the best offenses and one of the best defenses in the entire to stand on his head and that’s what he’s doing now that was a great Series against the Boston Bruins we were able to get past them but it was all because of Dustin wolf as long as Dustin wolf continues to play the way he was we’re going to be fine like he currently has a 940 and a 141 yeah if you put up those numbers we’re going to win a steining cup pretty easily however I think it’s safe to say those numbers aren’t sustainable he’s not going to post a 141 throughout the entire postseason but maybe he is because he’s looking really good right now besides game number four he’s been as good as he possibly could be and we won game number five so we’re off to the Conference Finals yet again so we made it to the Stanley final and the only thing that we have to figure out is are we going to be taking on the Emon Oilers or the San Jose Sharks those are two great teams we got to win four games to get to that point but we’re already there now I have disrespected the TR mapleash a postseason to the Colorado Avalanche we can’t do this again I can’t afford to lose another Stanley Cup here we’re going to lose another stand of the cup and we’re going to allow nine goals in the most
