Health:

“I feel fantastic, to be honest. I took time to rest after the season. Yeah, something was still lingering during the playoffs – I felt fatigued, had some dizziness, even that fainting sensation at times… it wasn’t great. But in June I completely rested with lower intensity, and all of that has gone away. I haven’t felt any of that playoff fatigue anymore. I feel great and ready to join the national team. Super happy.”

On the Boston trade rumours:

“Yeah, that started showing up in the media already during the season. It didn’t exactly distract us, but we kind of knew this team might not stay together for long because of the salary cap. Once the season ended, I was already talking to my agent and I knew one or more of us would be traded. For a while, I actually thought I’d end up with the Spurs, but then Atlanta came in – and that was a nice surprise. It was kind of out of my hands.”

On his outlook with the Atlanta Hawks:

“Yeah, yeah. I think the goals are high – we’ve got high expectations. Every year Atlanta’s kind of been on that playoff edge, sometimes getting past the first round. I think it’s a great situation where I can come in and contribute to the team. Maybe even a better setup – in Boston it was championship or bust. Here the expectations are easier to exceed. I’d say it’s a better position to be in. It’s all in our hands, and I believe we can surprise people in the Eastern Conference.”

  1. I know there’s zero way to talk him out of playing because of the importance to him and his country, but it’s not going to be comfortable watching him out there.

  2. > in Boston it was championship or bust. Here the expectations are easier to exceed.

damn what he say fuck me for 😂😂

  3. “In Boston it was championship or bust. Here the expectations are easier to exceed”

Well there’s your fucking problem huh? A stark contrast in mentality between organizations. I want an order that starts to set that standard, that mentality. KP been here for a month and can already tell they just okay with the playoffs

  4. He obviously meant no harm comparing Boston expectations to ours but damn ! 😭🤣🤣
