The Cardinals have an ongoing promotion (Back to Busch) in which every ticket includes $20 Cards Cash. When I bought tickets to the Braves series, the cheapest I could find were $29, making them effectively $9 if you planned to spend $20 at the stadium. Now, prices for several games (including tonight, tomorrow, the last game of the season, several more) are below $20. So they're effectively paying fans to attend games.

  1. Sucks it’s the middle of the day on a Wednesday 🤣 awesome if you already have a trip planned though!

  2. But it cant be, all the games are sooo expensive this year based in this sub..

  3. Yeah, but are they paying enough?

$9 worth of Busch food isn’t doing it to get me to the park for this team, and this ownership.

  4. Good deal. But giving you a $20 credit to buy highly marked up stadium food isn’t exactly a losing proposition for the team.

  5. Since the mark up on the things you can buy is so high the ballpark still gets positive cash flow even if you don’t blow past the $20 bucks in funny money.

  6. $20 stadium cash is like worth $8 at most to buy these concessions out in the real world.

  7. Wednesday game during the day against the Reds? There’ll be MANY fans that will call off work and show up dressed as seats for this doozy! Especially if Miles pitches that day.

  8. Its going to be nearly 100 degrees at the stadium today and tomorrow. I think you’d have to give me $50 or more in stadium cash to get me to show up to the game in that kind of weather.

  9. TBH this was worth it for me. I went to a game while I was in town for a conference and got an e-mail for this the next day. Had a pre-payed ticket for the day after that with the conference. Three games, three days. Came out to less than $100 overall for me.
