[Cassavell] Michael King is about to pitch a third simulated inning. He’s punched out five and allowed a Trenton Brooks homer across the first two. This is a full-on sim game, too, with Single-A defenders from Lake Elsinore playing behind King.

  1. “A simulated game or inning in baseball, often used for rehabbing pitchers, is a practice scenario where a pitcher throws against live batters in a game-like setting, but without full fielding or umpire involvement. It’s essentially a controlled scrimmage designed to help pitchers recover from injury or build stamina”

Who gets to hit? Are they supposed to swing?
