Hadn’t ever noticed before that the Ruzzians were falling down all over the place.
A great ending to a great series.
Unsure how much the rules were different back then but Howerchuk clearly hooks/interferes with the backchecking russian that would’ve covered Lemieux on the play. Absolutely a penalty in today’s game. Nonetheless, fun goal to watch!

That hook on 27 is a penalty today but that Russian defenseman tripping on his own skates getting deked by Gretzky is hilarious.
2 ruskies just wilted with Wayne and Mario bearing down.
Gretzky-Lemieux-Messier as a line is just straight up unfair.
