That sounds like a no good, very bad trade
If Boston had taken it, KC might have needed to call on me to start some games this year because we would be out of healthy starting pitchers
I don’t know if this guy is a reliable source, looks like a podcaster with 7K twitter followers (don’t you get that many just from bots when you sign up?)
I was pumped for a possible Duran trade – but not for Noah Cameron.
Lmao. I’d have been so pissed when we had Duran, could score 5 a game, and allowed 7 because all the pitchers disappeared.
Is this even true? Haven’t seen this reported by anyone else. I’ve never heard of this guy
If that’s true it’s not an *awful* deal since Mitchell is still so far away and we have Jensen, but Cameron would have been a hard player to trade away. Thankful they declined now after the Bubic injury.
This would have been exactly what the royals need to do. Going to have given up something significant to get an everyday outfielder with control and a relatively high ceiling. I assume Boston is pretty confident there is a better offer out there. For anyone who would object to this trade, what’s the alternative to get more talented offensively? Open up the checkbook in free agency? lol
We dodged a bullet. While I like the aggressiveness, I would hate to give up Cameron, especially with Ragans, Lorenzen, and Bubic all being out.
I seriously doubt the Royals offered Cameron when we are notoriously bad at developing decent pitchers in the fist place.
It’s crazy how this sub begs for the team to make big deals and then we almost do one and everyone is like thank god we avoided that. Makes no sense. You have to give up good players to get good players. This would’ve been an awesome deal
Duran is overrated. I’m glad they dodged that bullet.
I wouldn’t mind them using Cameron to get a young controllable corner outfield bat. It’s hard to see him keeping this pace.
There’s no validity to this report. Based on his account he looks like he’s a Red Sox fan. At best this a bs report to try to drive up value for Duran and at worst this is completely made up. Let’s also not go around posting non-reputable accounts because all that does is spread misinformation.
I really want Duran, but Noah Cameron is my favorite player right now and would be devestasyed
The only reason why Cemeron is hard to deal, personally, is because he is from St Joseph.
Boston needed that starting pitching though. Oh well
Literally have never heard of the guy reporting this
I would’ve been pissed
I can’t believe they would not have hopped on that deal unless they think Duran is the future of the Red Sox.
Not true royals are not that crazy
Hey if you can’t get Randal grichuk for your two best prospects, might as well get him for one no name prospect
The same Jarren Duran who directed a homophonic slur at a heckler during a game. Cool, he can stay in Boston.
For Noah? Absolutely not.
Boston already turned down Dylan Cease, Ethan Salas, and another prospect from the Padres. Seems unlikely that the Royals could (or would want to) beat that offer – even with Cameron and Mitchell included.
You guys…the Red Sox turned down Dylan Cease and a top 25 prospect for Duran. Thats a better offer than the Royals offer.
