Rangers vs. Angels Game Highlights (7/28/25) | MLB Highlights

The Rangers are playing like the team that won the World Series. Like right now, they are the hottest team in baseball. Their lineup is very, very uh stacked. Bosshi’s got them playing well. I think the reason why they’re winning games still, it’s coming down to the fact is they’re pitching, their starting pitching has been unreal this whole season. Jack Khanitz is back up in the majors. Wayne, just go out there and pitch like he can. You know, last season he was an automatic guy. He was out there six plus innings every time. Quality start. He’s been struggling this season. backup error after one start there in TripleA. But his stuff plays if he keeps that ball down. A bouncer toward the middle. It’s Renifo ranging off balance throw and he gets it there. High. He’ll get on base here as he draws the two out walk becoming the game’s first base runner. Khanitz allows Simeon to reach in front of Adidas Garcia. And here’s the next pitch. And that’s a chase and a miss. He struck him out on a sinker. And that is how the inning will end. So a scoreless first inning for Kohanowitz in his first game back. Well, the Sai Young candidate for 2025, Jacob Deg Grom on the mound. And what a year, 10-2 in his 20 starts. He has a 191 batting average against the 228 erra and the Arsenal fast ball slider change and curve. What a treat, Ranger fans. You get to watch one of the best in the game pitch tonight. And he swings and misses. And that’s strike three. There is the first strike out of the day for Deg Gro. How about this change up right here? Watch this ball. He pulls the string here. See you later. So now Trout at different points in their careers, these two thought to be the best in the world at what they do. For Mike Trout for many years, the best player on earth for Jacob Deg Grom and his run with the New York Mets, the best pitcher on earth, but he strikes out swinging here on the fast ball and Deg Grom backto back strikeouts to start the game. Deg Grom with the two- strike pinch swinging a miss. He struck him out. Got him with the slider. Deg Grom strikes out the side in order here to start his work tonight. So Carter is taking some time before getting set in the batters box. Lefty hitter. Here’s the 1-1. There’s a bun. It’s pushed back to the mound. Should end the inning. Fielded by Kohhanowitz. Throws him out. So far so good for Jack Kohhanowitz. That’s a quick clean inning and he threw just seven pitches. So three strikeouts in the first for Deg Grom. He has gotten two flyyous to start the bottom of the second in the scoreless game. Here’s Logan O’Hap. Catcher batting six for the Angels. 200 and Oh swings and that one is skyed to right center. Garcia drifts over. He cuts in front of Carter now. Backpedals a step. He makes the catch and that ends the inning. Oh, a symmetrical start for Deg Grom. Three strikeouts in the first, three flyyous in the second. First batter up is Josh Young for the Rangers. Young hits a bouncer to third. Kevin Newman has that one. A quick throw retires Young. Well, Jackowitz here has shown back up in the majors after a very brief stint at Triple A and has six ground ball outs out of his first seven. The hit batter moves the runner up to second. Yeah, he just spiked that sinker. So, Seagar’s on hit by a pitch and Simeon is the batter. Two outs. Here’s the pitch and this is a liner into left field there to make the grab on that one. will be Taylor Ward and the inning will come to an end. Here’s his O2 to Campro. And that strike three called and it was the slider. His first strike out looking tonight. Well, this just froze. Redo first ball swinging. He has the first hit in this ball game. Here’s the Gro’s pitch and this ball’s blasted by Newman out into deep left center field. It’s out by the wall and that one is out of here. Kevin Newman says hello Newman to Jacob Deg Gro. Well, how perfect is he? The former New York Met for Newman. Somewhere Jerry Seinfeld is going how did that happen? Hello Newman. One, two. And there’s another strike out. This time it’s Neto. And there are two away. You see Negro shaking his head. No, this is this is the part about being a veteran pitcher even though he’s still ticked off about giving up that home run. He makes a nice pitch here at 98. Top of the zone. Grom struck out the side in order in the first. He’s trying to strike out the side in the third around a single and a homer. Two-2 swing and a miss. Another fast ball. He blows it by Trout and Deg Grom ends up striking out the side in the third. Yeah, for Jack Kawitz now a couple of runs on the board gives him a little bit more freedom out there. Nice play by Shawell in a dive and Jock Peterson won’t even bother to make his way to first after that. Two play with Sha. Wow on the defense. Really nice play by Shaell there just diving to his right. That ball is hit hard. The Rangers have yet to get a hit in this ball game. Count is 0 and two and the next one on Carter chasing a miss. He got him on a change up struck him out and that’s how the inning will end. First down here in the bottom of the fourth and that brings up Taylor Ward. And a swing and a miss. There’s his seventh strikeout tonight. Look at that pitch. Looking like it’s going to be a fast ball 70% of the way on the plate for a strike and then it just dives down and away. Here’s the one two and that one’s popped up high into the air right field line. Adoleis running in to his left. Still on the move. Makes the catch just about 5t inside the line. And the Rangers are behind here two to nothing and do not have a hit. Ball hit out into right field. Karo was deep. Goes into a slide and that one’s past him. Bangs off the wall and Smith will head for third and he can tiptoe in with a triple and that is the first Texas hit. Here it comes in the fifth inning. So Simeon draws the walk and that loads him up here for Adobe Garcia. I kind of feel like this is a big opportunity. You don’t want to let this one go by without any runs. And that’s lifted into short right field. Can Perrell able to get to it. No, he battled it and he lost it. Two runs have scored and now Garcia goes to second. It was like a receiver fielding a punt and he just flat fumbled it. So Garcia ties the game with that fumble right there. He was in the glove and just rolled right out. That’s a tough one for Conowitz. Uh, he made a perfect pitch. Good sequence, too. Very, very important there for Ray Montgomery. Stop Cabo right there. Give him a big hug there. He knew it. Out number one. Better will be Campero. Trying to get some back. Gets a base hit. Yeah, now that’s the beauty of this game. That is the beauty of this game. The tough play. And then he comes up against an all-time great pitcher and gets a base hit. See Joe Dell shaking his head there. There you go. That’s his teammates helping out. He can’t feel any worse than he was doing on that play, but what’s he do? get the encourage encouragement from his teammates and then ropes a single 02 and there’s a swing and a miss. Another strike out for Deg Grom. That is his eighth of the night. So now with two gone, it is the third time through the lineup. And here is Zack Neto. And he rips this one to the left field corner. That’s a base hit. It bounces to the wall. Comparrow’s flying around the bases. He gets to third. He’s being waved home. The relay from Seager on the way. It’s not in time. Carro scores. A double from Neto and the Angels have the lead again. What a swing from Neto and Capo went flying around the bases. They get that go ahead run. He’s going to get some high fives and some hugs walking into that dugout. Hustling up to second base there with a leadoff double is Langford and he represents the tying run and Devin Carter will be the next batter. Bond caught it. That’s a double play. Wow. Quick. It’s a cat right back up the middle. Catches it. So, two outs. Here’s Josh Young. Three to2 Angels leading in the top of the six. And he smashes that ball left center field. That one is gone. A solo shot by Young and he ties this game in the sixth inning. Boy, the roller coaster of emotions in this game. It’s three to three here in the sixth inning. Taylor Ward against Jacob Deg Gro. There’s a fly ball left center field. This is hit well after it is Langford out near the wall. It is gone. Taylor Ward breaks the tie. He ties his own careerh high in homers and the Angels are up four to three. Center cut fast ball blasted. Here’s his 1-1. That is hit well out to right field. Garcia twisting around back there and that one lands on the warning track. I don’t I’m not sure how well he saw that ball. He didn’t see it. That was an out. I think under normal circumstances that absolutely is an out. Now, if you can’t see it, that makes it harder. But that’s going to end Deg Grom’s evening. The head hanging out there on the mound. A little frustrated with the way today’s game went. Just an unexpected start where the Angels are the one team that has figured out how to put runs on the board in 2025 against Jacob Deg Grom on a consistent basis. Luis Renifo with Oh, the one base runner at second. Angels up 43. That ball pelted toward right back for Garcia ranging out toward the wall and it’s gone. Home run he fo just like that three runs two home runs in the inning. Gee with his fifth home run. Five earned runs for the ground today. Five with seven hits allowed. Two men around. And here’s Jonah. Carter at second. Rangers trailing here six to three. He tonight 0 for two with a walk. Oh two pitch. And that one is flared out towards center. That’s going to drop base hit. Here comes Carter. He scores. It’s a 64 game and the tying run will come to the plate in the eighth inning. He’s going to go to Jansen now. Looks like a potential four out save tonight. But Josh Smith on the first pitch. It’s a fly ball to right. It’s pretty deep, but Capro’s there and that will end the unit. Jansen has recorded three outs already and only nine pitches. Looking for a four out save. He faces Garcia. Sing a strike three. Say good night to the Rangers. Four outs for Kennley Jansen. He notches another save and the Angels win a funky one tonight. 6-4. Yeah. So, four out save with 12 pitches. He’s going to say he’s going to be available tomorrow. [Music]

  1. Every single MLB game is controlled by betting conglomerates. It is obvious if you just take the time to watch. Learn mathematics and probabilities, and you will understand. Wake up and change the world. Stop supporting rigged sports.

  2. It's laugable that the Rangers management still insists on using Joc Pederson despite him being a liability all year. A .123 batting average is simply inexcusable for a DH. Cut your losses and drop this dude before he ruins the entire season.

  3. angels tuning up for a stab at the '25 playoffs by body slamming the hottest team and rangers cy young candidate. we need to take this series and get over the hump

  4. Shocked we're not discussing Garcia's high strikeout rate this season, especially since he doesn't lead the team in home runs. He is and always will be El Bombi, and the reason we won the World Series. That can never be taken from him.

  5. Cardinals fan here! A couple of things to mention.. First and foremost, I felt secondhand embarrassment when Campero dropped that ball, but it was awesome to see his teammates encourage him and I honestly think that set to the tone for the remainder of the game. A bounce back hit must have been a real nice feeling after that. Second: THOSE ANGELS UNIFORMS ARE SUPER SWEET. I don't really watch a lot of baseball this season, due to my busy schedule, but I am gonna have to get some sort of package or something to stream some of these games on. That was a fun one to watch.

  6. Ahh fiddlefudge! I guess we can't win every game, but now not only have the Mariners have taken sole possession of the last playoff spot, the Red Sox are now 1.5 games ahead of us! Better times ahead hopefully. Rangersforever❤

  7. Well done, Angels 🎉
Cheers to your hard work ! 🍾🥂
Campero did a great job hitting, running the bases, and defending 😅…
