DISAPPOINTMENT: Cleveland Guardians Blow Lead to Colorado Rockies On Terrible Day for Franchise
The Guardians lost to the Colorado Rockies on Monday, the worst team in baseball. And somehow not the worst news they got on Monday. This is Justin Lada of locked on Guardians. And the Guardians got a good start from Slade Sakone. Seven innings, three runs, had some control problems, didn’t really miss a lot of bats, had a couple of bouts of walks, didn’t really have his best stuff, but he got through. He gave you a chance to win. And the Guardians offense against Bradley Bllelock, who by the way was having a terrible season, fired six shutout innings. Luckily, the Guardians are able to mount a comeback against the Rockies bullpen. Baylor had to throw at home to tie the game. They took a 5 to3 lead and the bullpen the first day without Emanuel Class who was on non-disciplinary paid leave now due to gambling. Hunter Gatis allows a run. Cade Smith allows runs. Tim Herren allows runs. And they lost the Rockies. You really wanted that win to make things feel a little bit better. And the offense gave you a chance late even though they didn’t score well early. and Slone was good, but the dark cloud is hanging over the Guardians and they must pivot now. The way things are going, that’s just the way things are going in Cleveland this season. I think we’re all ready for 2025 to end and talk about 2026. We’ll see if the Guardians trade deadline will follow that suit as well. Follow tune to lock on guardians for that and

We are a shattered team right now. Hopefully we can rebound tomorrow.
That one hurt. Might be time to sell off now. While we still have some pieces with value (Santana and Lane, if he attracts value)
Slade was very decent again, can agree with that
Gurads have nun to sell
according to Ken Rosenthal we will be sellers and will not buy at the deadline so i actually think that it is good news to hear that.
I knew once we only scored 5 in the 7th it was cooked. We bounce back and get 2 in a row but we need about 4 in a row to get comfortable
It's not only about tonight's loss to the worst team of the season, but the rumor that there is more to it than just Ortiz and Clase. It seems a few or several more CLE pitchers are involved in this sports betting issue according to the source and if it turns out to be true, then that will be DISASTROUS.
This team does have a black cloud hanging over them this year. What a difference a year makes. I have a feeling that this team is in trouble and may take a while to be competitive again. The prospects aren’t exciting anyone and we all know the Dolans won’t make any splashes in free agency.
