  1. Remember when the Astros traded Loperfido and other prospects for 3 months of Kikuchi and he wasn’t that good and they were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs? Good times

  2. This is the game we all look back on and say, THAT’s when Joc fired up the bat … I hope.

  3. We usually hit Kikuchi well so let’s see what happens. Haggerty, Seags, Simmy, Doli, Higgy, Langford, Heim DH, Smith, Duran is my lineup guess.

  4. its a good thing we didnt lose any ground last night. Houston collapsing and Boston blowing post-rain delay made it palpable.

Hope y’all are ready for lefty lineup today

  5. You don’t deserve to win games where Joc is batting 5th.

Top of the 5th, two outs. Garcia and Semien at second and thrid. Joc strikes out swinging (would have walked if he just never swung the bat). Langford leads of the 6th and hits a double. That’s two runs right there if Joc is batting 9th instead.

  6. Do you think the pitchers are like “finally offense. Thank you for coming to the winning party!”

Orioles trade Ryan O’Hearn and Ramon Laureano to Rangers
    2025 MLB trade deadline tracker

This is shaping up as a Bruce Bochy special: The Rangers sneak into the postseason and then ride Jacob deGrom and Nathan Eovaldi all the way to another World Series title. But they first have to get into the playoffs, and to do that, they need to improve the offense. First base and especially designated hitter — where the Rangers are last in the majors in OPS — have been problem areas all season for a team that ranks in the bottom third of the American League in runs per game. O’Hearn can play first or DH, and Laureano can DH and start in the outfield against lefties. — David Schoenfield

  8. If you haven’t seen Framber Valdez’ postgame comments about the positioning of his defense last night, check it out. It is great to see some internal sniping coming from one of the “leaders” of that team. Nathaniel Lowe got a hit that scored Josh Bell from first base! Among other comments, Valdez said, “…it was going to be a hit and then I saw the right fielder playing center field and we have a center fielder for that. So I felt like the right fielder should have been playing right field, so I was uncomfortable with that.” LOVE IT!

  9. I loved that we accuired Joc but I’m really starting to hope we trade him with this season and then after yesterday
