I’m gonna be pissed about last night for a while….
Can’t afford to be giving games away Cora needs to lock tf in and stop overthinking over managing the fucking pen
I’m relatively new to this, first year following the Sox for a whole season so feel free to tell me if I’m wrong, but this feels like an important time to win games with the Rangers only half a game back in the wild card standings
This is supposed to be a twins bullpen game, let’s take advantage of them using a lot of their good arms last night

The Twins are one of those teams for which I’ve always harbored an irrational hatred.
Some of it was 7-year-old me wondering why the team nickname was “Twins.” Like, I understood Braves, Indians, Tigers, Yankees…but “Twins”? Then my dad explained to me they were named after the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. So 7-year-old me thought “naming the team for *two cities*? That’s stupid!” (meanwhile there I was rooting for a team named for…a piece of clothing).
Part of it was their old horrible, heinous, antiseptic, sterile, boring, Glad-Bag-Walled domed stadium. With seats facing the 50-yard-line, nonetheless. What a feculent eyesore monstrosity that was.
And I *know* part of it was my raging, toxic jealously of them winning in all in 1987 (one short year after ’86), then sucking again, then winning it AGAIN in 1991! Don’t get me started on those stupid Homer Hankies, either.
And since then the stupid Twins are like 0-15 against the Yankees in the playoffs. Like they just bend over and take it without a fight when facing the bombers.
Last night’s outcome stirred up a lot of shit in me, I guess lol…
Sweep feels good, but so does a series win. Just win the next two and we’ll be okay.
Can and should win tonight and tomorrow, especially if we’ve got Houston right after. Let’s take that top wild card spot before then.
The twins have always pissed me off
Cora is a fucking numbskull. Why are we still letting bums close 1 run games?
Last night I fell asleep while the radio was playing (I kinda struggle with sleep problems) and I was woken by Flemming calling Anthony’s RBI hith, still all confused with a headache and being pulled back to sleep… kinda feeling as if we had won… And the next thing I knew was “two-run single”, “devastating walkoff loss”… Had no idea the rain delay happened.
Let’s hope everything will be better tonight.
I got a notification that Roman put the Sox up 4-3 in the top of the 9th and just assumed they would win last night.. was really unhappy when I watched the highlights
just remembered how we lost yesterdays game and am mad again
Huge game! Let’s get it! Love how terrible the AL is! Worst it’s been in a decade or so it seems. Tigers are one of the worst teams in baseball as of late, Astros have been a disaster too
Like many, still annoyed by last night
