Question: "How much carry over is there for Caleb as a second year player now trying to learn this offense?"
Answer: "Well there really isnt any carry over from what he was being asked to do last year. He knows what an NFL training camp is like. He knows what its like to go through an NFL game week." 🤣

BJ: He didn’t learn anything last year
Well, he should have learned what NOT to do!
Yes, we knew this already.
I disagree with the meme. If he didn’t believe that I’d have bigger concerns.
Only one surprised is the architect of last years coaching staff, King Poles.
Actually really appreciate the honesty here. Also, I mean, we all saw the games last year. It’s *good* to not carry that offense over at all.
That’s… not what he said?
basically he knows where the facility is. everything else he learned was garbage.
I think he learned not to take good coaching for granted.
We all watched last season. We all saw what was going on. The OC was fired. The HC was fired. No shit he didn’t learn anything, and I appreciate Johnson not trying to blow smoke up our asses.
We’re bears fans, we know they’re going to ruin him.
Your interpretation of his statement is dishonest and weird. Just wanting so badly to piss and whine about something.
His stats, for having to carry that sorry ass o-line and coaching staff – Waldron and Flus specifically, still amazes me. If it weren’t for hero ball we would have absolutely nothing happening on offense. He had legit game winning drives on multiple games that he got a goose egg from based solely on Flus and his rock head coaching.
Didn’t we know this?
I appreciate how HCBJ isn’t giving Caleb any preferential treatment, and if anything is breaking him down.
Also: His life was in danger every week.
Anyone that called what Caleb ran last year an offense needs to be drawn and quartered. Better yet painted in Packers Green and Yellow and staked in the end zone at Solider Field with a sign that reads Ditka sucks and Butkus was a pussy.
Caleb was basically being forced to play street ball last year.
Are there people who are proud of his rookie year and hope he keeps playing like that? Let Ben cook
It wasn’t a waste although it could’ve been a lot more productive thats for sure. Caleb faced a lot of adversity in year one and handled it like a true baller imo. Sometimes that can bode well for a young player vs having a lot of success from the jump and being unfamiliar with adversity when it does come.
It wasn’t. Williams had to navigate the storm of losing his OC and head coach. Addition by subtraction, but he handled the media circus well.
He’s right, and it’s good that Caleb has someone who cares about his development enough to say that and work on fixing it
So you are saying we will not have every eligible receiver running to the same general area of the field?
We honestly didn’t get dragged through the mud publicly enough for how disastrous of a decision it was to saddle Williams’ rookie year with Flus and Waldron.
Imo he’s slowly trying to break this soft ass culture the Mcaskeys created until this point
He was like “he knows what goes into a game week, he knows the schedule of training camp”
Haha when I heard that I was like “we really are starting from square 1”

I think it is silly for anyone to believe that playing 17 games against NFL defenses resulted in Caleb not learning.
I don’t believe at all BJ believes that Caleb didn’t learn.
I’m so glad we have a real coach for this team.
Thank the lord we hired Ben Johnson.
No, basically he’s saying that the last coaching staff was not coaching and therefore not much was learned by Caleb.
Flus coaching: what did you learn this week?
Caleb: umm, practice is harder than the game….
Flus: you’re right, practice is harder than the game….
No coaching done questioning stance, timing, or pocket awareness. Waldron sucked, and Flus was no QB whisperer. This will be Caleb’s rookie season 2.0
