[Acee] Bogaerts was 3-for-5 last night, which raised his batting average to .270 for the first time since April 15. His .358 average since June 16 is highest in the National League, and his .968 OPS is seventh highest in that span.

  1. What’s even better…. He is driving the ball really well. Early on in the season everything so soft and now it’s liners. Now Merrill needs to get back on it

  2. Bro could be batting over .280 by the end of the season if he stays hot

  3. It’s just the best that he is finally playing like himself again. It’s really fun to watch and such a difference maker.

  4. I have been critical of him in the past, but super happy he has found some success and hoping he keeps it up because we are a much better team when we can count on him.

  5. I was told pretty decisively that this was the worst contract in the history of American professional sports.

    Still true?

  6. I thought I read somewhere that it was a mechanical issue that Vic fixed, something with his lower body leaking forward during his swing, so this isn’t just him finding his confidence. Whatever he’s doing, hope he keeps it up.

  7. I remember a month or 2 ago bringing up pretty regularly that he’s swinging his bat harder than he has in years. He was struggling tremendously. I wouldn’t say I called this, because I was unsure imif he’d be able to find it out with his fast swing.

But I specifically said multiple times, if he’s able to get his timing down with this increased bat speed. Hes going to be a hell of a hitter.

  8. Imagine if all these guys could get clicking at the same time, preferably in time for us to make the playoffs. The talent is there.
