>Bednar’s value has risen enough that Hiles writes the Pirates are asking potential suitors to include one prospects within their organization’s top five in the return package for his services.
As they should.
I have to imagine Cleveland is interested too with the Clase suspension
Worth noting that a top 5 prospect is completely different from the Rangers vs the Tigers.
I’m not sure the Rangers have a position player I would trade Bednar for in the minors outside of Walcott (which I’d assume is a non-starter).
I’m interested in Anne Hathaway, but I’d have to pay A LOT to get that. Same concept here. Pirates hold all the chips in this case.
I wonder if the rangers would consider trading Evan Carter
Not mentioned but I did see a blurb where the Mariners are interested in upgrading their bullpen. They have a better farm system than Texas (well more bats anyway) and it’s always interesting to see 2 division rivals seeking the same positional upgrade
I’m happy to keep Bednar into the 2026-27 off-season, so I want Wyatt Langford.
Is it too much for Texas? Probably, but I don’t care. That’s my price. They can get some other pieces involved like Santana if they want, but that’s my going rate.
I know it won’t happen, but I don’t want fair deals, I want the Bucs to hold out for deals lopsided in their favor.
