Utah Mammoth Top 10 Prospects | Judd’z Budz New Start as a Utah Mammoth Podcast | Judd’z Budz
We are now a Utah Mammoth podcast. Um, have to give proper shout out and respect to Chris. He just goes by Chris online. He’s 5KL on Twitter. There’s a link if anyone goes to Twitter underneath the uh post for this live stream that takes you to his shop. He made this sick Cacina Mammoth logo and then just threw it on a bunch of shirts to sell. Uh, as you can see, I bought one before we even decided we were going to do this segment, and it literally showed up like the day after we agreed. I’m like, “Oh, this is perfect.” Um, so yeah, we are uh full Cacina Mammoth Book of Mammoth for now. And yes, Cosg Grove, that is a uh rendition of the Elmo on Fire, except it’s Mr. Snuffalophagus. Uh, of course, popping out of a book because it is Book of Mammoth. So, uh, yeah, if anyone can come up with a better iteration of that, too, I will take it. Give me your submissions because that one was me just kind of trying to make it work with AI. That’s as close as I could get. Um, Cole, appreciate it. Again, guys, go to the link if you want to get your own merchandise with that logo. I think it’s incredible. Brilliant. Shout out again to Chris. Well deserved. Um, so to lead in anyone that missed it, we did decide last week that we are going to officially uh bring in the Utah Mammoth as our adoptive child, I guess, in the NHL. We love them for a lot of different reasons. I Z, why don’t we lead off? What do you love the most about the Utah Mammoth? Well, I have been a massive fan of like obviously just being the prospect guy here like their draft in the last few years. A lot of their young players combined with the fact that like you know obviously like Logan Culie comes in over the last few years. Clayton Keller is so [ __ ] fun to watch. I that kid. Yeah. Um and I mean just the whole project with Utah in general like is incredible. Um, but I mean any new team or like any new market that really starts taking off, I’m always going to be interested in general. But combined with with the fact that like I like a lot of their young players that are already on the roster plus the way they’ve drafted the last few years, like to me it’s just a very very exciting franchise and organization. And like the hockey that they played this year before, like they had a bunch they were another team had a bunch of injuries early on too. Uh, but they were looking real good at the start of the year. Again, some like big injuries, guys like Marino, like Zerach Chev. Actually, I forgot like how ridiculous Sergeev’s like offensive numbers were this year. I think he almost scored 20. Um, but like the fact that the the second they go to Utah, they make all those big moves, they make a couple big time trades, big splashes. Like it’s a team that wants to win. They play an exciting brand of hockey. I love the way that they draft. And obviously that Barn’s been rocking since day one. So, I’m all in. Yeah, I’m I’m all in on the uh Logan [ __ ] bit, of course. Um I still need to try and find a way to get my hands on a Logan [ __ ] Cachina jersey. Probably too late, but we’ll see. Um I also just love that this went from uh their owner Smith, which very funny, his last name is Smith, but we’ll move past that. like he wanted an expansion team and he kind of did the league a favor by taking the Arizona relocation very quickly out of left field. Like it was pretty much sprung upon him. Not only does he get the brownie points for like taking one for the team, I think it worked out way better. Like look at how things are going in Seattle. He’s got a team that had, as Z pointed out, a great prospect pool already developed. They had some young kids already in the works. And now you got a team of players that was kind of misfits. Like, we don’t know if our owner gives a [ __ ] about us. Like, all we know is that his kids running the Twitter account. And now they’ve got an owner who like cares so much. He’s already shown what he can do in the NBA with uh the Jazz. And I think he’s going to invest a ton into them. Like we talk a bunch about, oh, what are taxes like or what’s a cool place to live? I think this is a guy that’s going to revolutionize and change the game with how he’s going to invest in facilities. Like give the players whatever they need, things that go above and beyond. Like there’s no salary cap on what you can spend on facilities and food and travel. Like that’s where if you can step up your game, you become a super desirable location to bring in great players. And I think this is a team that’s only on the rise. Things are only going to get better in the coming years. Going to be very fun to track and follow. And don’t get me wrong, I’m not sitting here saying that the Mammoth are my team, but I’m I’m very excited to be able to follow them more closely and actually care beyond just thinking they’re cool. So, big bonus. Um, and I think I think what we need to do, Z, is hold out. We we are refusing to take on any Utah guests until we get Ryan Smith on. We just got to get the owner on. We’re going to talk through all all this with him. He’s going to come eventually. We’re just going to keep on pinging him. He’ll be on here eventually. Um how how much are you willing to do for this team? Are you willing to come on to a top five shitty podcast of all time between someone that lives in Boston, another guy that lives in Minnesota? Like, and we just randomly drank a million high noons and decided that we’re to start ranking the [ __ ] prospects next like six, seven days later. Will you come on the podcast? He will. That’s how we know. And that’s when we really That’s when I’ll just drop every other affiliation with any team. I’ll be like, “Yep. We need to just like go instead of a a Book of Mormon directive. Do we go with like what’s the reality show? It’s like Secret Lives of Mormon wives. Do we just go with like Crushing Cans with Mammoth fans, which is even funnier because they don’t drink there. So, I didn’t see that coming. Um that would threw me off. Whatever. Yeah, I [ __ ] Well, we we we’re going to test it out. We’re going to test out everything. We’ll try it all. Um and we’ll just see what sticks, which will probably be like nothing other than us having fun, but like whatever. Who cares? I don’t care. I just want to have fun. [ __ ] everyone else. Well, let’s get into it then. the the first uh deep dive we’re going to do here for the Utah Mammoth. Let’s get into the prospects, the baby mammoths. Is there a name for a baby mammoth? Couldn’t tell you. As the number one Utah Mammoth podcast, we should know that it’s a calf. [ __ ] That’s lame. I tell you what, that felt like it probably was should have been easy to know. We That’s lame. Whoops. Dirty sodas. Tell you what, if there’s a dirty soda company out there that wants to sponsor us in Mhm. Mhm. Uh we’re not going to get any caffeinated sponsors. Um bummer. Let’s see. Let’s break it down. Uh you mentioned before deep prospect pool for the formerly Phoenix, formerly Arizona Coyotes, now formerly Utah Hockey Club for like 5 seconds. Maybe Utah Yeti, now Utah Mammoth. Deepool, where do you lead in? Like who is the best player, the premier guy we need to talk about for this group? Oh, I was going to go the other way. I was going to Let’s go the other way. Let’s go the other way then. Who’s the Who’s the shittiest? Who do we hate? I was actually going to do the exact opposite of what you just said. Uh well, so I did a top 10, a rough rough top 10, but I threw in a couple h audible mentions as well. One guy I really wanted to put in my top 10 but just missed out was Julian Lutz. Um a German winger, can play a center, but I mean he’s going to be a wing whenever he makes the NHL. um big heavy shot. Uh 2022 draft pick, second round, lot of tantalizing aspects to his game. He’s got the really good skill. Obviously, he’s got an absolute rifle of a shot. Really fun to watch. It’s kind of potentially like a boomer type guy. don’t really know if there’s like a B game necessarily, but he could probably be in your middle six as like just a solid like a goalcoring third line guy that can fill in in the top six or in a pinch. If you have injuries, whatever, you can score on the power play. Um had a rough first year in the AHL after really lighting up the USHL in 24. Um and I mean like that Tucson was a was an interesting team in general in the AHL, but bit of a slow start to his pro career. That being said, was tracking off like I mean he was playing in the in the German Pro League for two years, put up some points there. Um he also does [ __ ] hit people left and right, plays hard. I think he did still racked up some some good pimps um last year in the A, but as far as his goal scoring goals, didn’t see it as much, but he can he can score. Um and maybe maybe I’d take that back with the B game thing because he does play super hard. He is physical. Um, but he’s a really good skater, good skill, again, great shot. Um, and he hits everything that moves. So, big fan of Julian Loose, but I just kept him out of the top 10. So, I’m just not sure exactly what role he ends up uh ends up in the NHL, but very fun player regardless. Uh, couple other honorable mentions real quick. Will Scan, uh, fluid puck moving Dman, uh, Ludvig Johnson who just got drafted this year as an overager. Should have got drafted last year in his draft season. again like just a really solid two-way defenseman, really good skater, uh can transport the puck, has really good first pass, defends well, kind of give you a little bit of everything. He’s got some decent offense, good hands. Um so I could see him being a decent five six guy that gives you a little bit of two-way ability, can kill penalties, can be on second power play unit. Big fan of his game. Um and then Miko Batika who played at Denver. Um just a big boy again. Plays hard, heavy. Um decent shot, can score, but really playing college hockey. Like showcase more of like the defensive side of his game. So big fan of him. Um and then Jonathan Castano had a really solid year this year. God, what what year did he get drafted? I think it was maybe two years ago, three years ago. But another honorable mention. We’re going to call him George. Yeah. And I mean, I wanted to throw Cal Thomas in there. So, we’ll I’m disappointed that he didn’t make the list. But that’s okay. Yeah. Yeah. I I at one point I was like, “Ah, [ __ ] it. Just throw him in there just cuz he might be the exception. If we get him on here, I guess Ryan Smith can be guest number two.” Okay, that’s a good point. I like I like where your head’s at. That’s fair. Uh, but those are my honorable mentions. So then we’ll go number 10. One of my boys from Sweden, sneaky, great name, Nol Nord. Uh 6’2 winger, really heavy shot. Um can also play a little bit of play a little bit of center if you need him to. Um really solid two-way game. uh if he can fill out his frame a little bit more and then like continue to play physical, I think there’s a real real upside there. Um transferred over to the OHL this year just under actually just over sorry a point per game on a not great not great squad but was impressive making that transition over from Sweden. Um again really heavy shot continue to play continues to showcase a little bit of that 2-way game. Um, and again, the fact he can play wing, can play center, can play all three, four positions really. Um, big fan of Nol Nord and obviously had to sneak in my boy from Sweden. Um, I guess just move on right away to number nine. Yes. Yeah. Uh, do think it’s important to point out. Let me just go down this list before we even go through the rest of the list. I’m just going to read from 10 through one. a specific stat line. Oh yeah, dude. Number 10, 62. Number nine, 61. Number eight, 62. Number seven, 65. Number six, 67. Number five, 67. Number four, 66. Number three, 65. Number two, 6 foot. And number one, 62. Tell me you got a type without telling me you got to type. I mean that’s you can talk to them about that. Some big boys. Yeah. You must be this tall to ride the roller coaster. You must be this tall to ride the roller coaster. Yeah. Moving on to number nine. 6 foot one. 6 foot one. Artium Duda uh Russian kid. Really solid skater. Left shot Dman. Got some legit offense. was supposed to end up with like got recruited to Maine, but because he had played a couple years or for two years. He played a couple games in the KHL was ineligible to play. So I think last year ended up or 2024 he had to go play like Canadian you sports league and only played like 12 games which was a concern obviously like for his development or whatever but steps in last year in the AHL just looked really good for Tucson put up uh like 20 let’s what he 29 points in 30 games but really big shot can hammer guys too really physical uh but solid skater really good hands really smart player I’m a huge fan of Arch Archenda um I remember watching him at the helink in his draft minus one year I think it was. Um and that team was just loaded right before obviously everything shut down for them. But um big fan of Archamuda again really impressive that he played literally 12 games a year before. steps into the AHL after playing pro in Russia again, then playing like in the youth sports league in Canada for 12 games and then steps in um I think it was like a plus 15 as well uh in 70 uh AHL games last year. So really solid first year for him. Um it’ll be interesting to see what he looks like. They’ve got a couple defenseman that’ll be vying for a spot over the next few years. I think he can just be a really solid again like five six puck movers got legit offense but defensively sound again really physical uh really fun player so big fan of Arch and Duda nice uh number eight 6’2 I actually like spaced on the fact that they had drafted him what’s that number eight oh sorry uh Cole Bodwin um big setter Like I was saying that I for I like space on the fact that they were the team that took him. Oh yeah, I know. I was actually thinking the same for whatever reason. I I don’t even know why I mix up because they play two different positions. I always mix up him and Ben Danford who the Leafs took last year the first round. I’m the idiot that confused him with the way taller and scrawnier commit of Boston and I can’t remember his name. That’s okay. That’s There’s always next year. We’ll get over it. Yeah. Can he get drafted again for next year? Can we try it again? Uh no. a cold board win. Barry Colts, uh, 6’2 center, heavy hitter, two-way game. Uh, just like a super high energy forward, probably fills into like a middle bottom six role. He’s going to kill penalties. Um, play a really sound game, but he does have some sneaky skill. Can put up points, but uh, last couple years or well, really just last year, I think he’s still under a point per game with Barry. Year before that, same thing. But, uh, ton of OHL experience, always a team Canada guy. I think he wears a letter last couple years for Barry. But um when you talk about like the kind of prospects that Arizona or well Arizona/ Utah’s been targeting last couple years, they like the size. They like guys that hit. They’re like heavy. Um and they’ve got a bunch of guys that just play with like non-stop pace, energy, and like effort or whatever. So a lot of big time compete. I think he’s just going to end up being like your ideal 3C in the NHL. um he’s going to be able to be relied on in a whole lot of situations. So again, he’s going to kill penalties. He can go on your second power play unit, but again, you’re going to lean on him more for his two-way game and uh play his defensive abilities as well, but physically advanced. Really like the toolkit. Um really just a smart player overall. So big fan of Cole Bode Way. Next up, I guess next is number seven at 6’5. right-handed defenseman, too. So, uh, that matters. Also, just we didn’t talk enough about how sick of a name this is. Max Senica, Sena, Shenica, I’ve heard literally every iteration of this name. Um, big time second half of his draft year riser. Uh, made the transition over from, uh, Chapa over to, uh, the dub. um and just looked incredible pretty much right away. But like he’s obviously 6’5. His offensive numbers don’t jump off the page at you. I think he had like six or seven points in 20ome WHL games this year. But when you look at the toolkit, like the size, skill, combo, how well he skates, um I think there is some untapped offensive upside there. Um but again, it’s his defensive ability is already advanced. He’s played proia. Um, and I mean just like the physical toolkit as he continues to fill out. I think he’s still like a buck 80 at 6’5. So he’s going to fill out still and become even, you know, ideally stronger, more physical and be able to use that size to his advantage. But such a good skater at that size and again really good hands, got a shot. Um, so big fan of Senica. A lot of I know a couple people that snuck him into the end of their first round. I think EP did. Um, but huge fan of him again. impressive that it was impressive how well he transitioned from um the Europe over to the dub. Um but he’s awesome. Big fan of big fan of Maxikica and again another big right shot D man that I mean every every NHL team looks for um and again he’s got that the skill set and the the skating ability is really impressive. So huge fan. I’m gonna stick with Senica just because it’s hilarious to me that that can basically be pronounced the same way as Becket Senica. Yeah. No, that’s a good move. Moving on. Number six measures in at 6 foot7. Dear Lord, Michael Robel, uh, another check kid, 6’7 goalender, plays at UMass, has been lights out at UMass. I think put up a 920, 925 this year. two, three, two, four maybe goals yet. I should probably have my Google doc up, but I don’t. Uh, second round pick in 2022. Stepped right into college hockey. Has looked really good. He’s a huge part of that UMass team. Um, in a year two, like last year, they didn’t have as many bigname recruits come in, but I mean, he’s just like the backbone for them. Plays pretty much every game. Um, I think this is this was year two for him. Um, and at no point does he look out of place whatsoever. um don’t think he’s signed yet, so I think he’ll be back at UMass again, obviously. Um but one of the better goalenders as far as prospects go in the world right now. Um and he has been ridiculously good uh for Czecha international events. So, um I mean, yeah, it’s a goalender of the future for sure. Definitely one of the names to keep an eye on moving forward in terms of any goalending prospect in the world. Next up, number five, another 6’7 monster, right-handed defenseman. Dear Lord. Yeah. And got his first cup of coffee at the end of the year this year in the NHL. Played 15 14 15 games. Uh Maverick Lamaru. Great name. Great name. Um but yeah, like you said, 6’7, 215 pounds, I think. And he is physical. He is mean. Um, he loves to hit people. Maybe you already know where I’m going to go with this. Uh, draft day. Parrots. Yep. Mhm. Yep. That was him. Tell the our Utah Mammoth fans who maybe weren’t aware of what happened when he was drafted by the Coyotes. Yep. Um, gets taken at the end of the uh the first round of 2022. camera goes right to his parents who just immediately basically started baking out on camera. It was unbelievable. It was like, oh god. Okay. Well, that’s something. Um but stepped in this year. Played played 15 16 games or so. I think it was 15 now I think about it. Um but already looks like he’s ready to fit in and play. Um, again, just given the contracts that they that got signed this year, he’s probably not going to probably be back in the back playing in the AHL again. Um, but again, just like a big kid, plays hard, hits everything that moves. Um, but does have some nice hands, can make good passes, pretty creative from the point. Um, so I think there’s some legit upside there. Skating is always going to be a big question mark for him, but he’s I think it’s good enough that it should be fine. um not really gonna hold him back or anything. Um and again, just the fact that he’s already stepped in after getting drafted just two or three years ago and already has been able to play 15 games in the NHL, it’s pretty impressive as a D man. Um but I mean, just the ridiculous compete, super physical, it’s going to be a solid bottom pair guy that’s going to kill all the penalties for you. He’s going to put up big time time on ice and pretty much play all the minutes that the rest of your defenseman don’t want to play. So, he is a prick to play against and uh he’s a big boy. hits hard and it’s just a big time compete player. Uh, way way way smaller number four comes in at 6’6. Arguably the coolest name in the pool. Yeah. Uh, 6’6 left wing, right shot left winger. Denil boot. um played a couple last couple years played in the KHL and put up some impressive numbers for a young player on locomotive. Uh I think two years ago put up 21 points and 55. Yeah, there it is. 55 games and then 28 points last year. Um and obviously he signed so I don’t know where he’s going to be playing exactly next year. All likelihood if he’s coming over he’s going to be in the AHL but maybe he still ends up playing in the in the KHL. but already looks I mean he’s already played an impressive amount of pro hockey at such a young age over in Russia. Um can score goals, really creative with the puck. Um as a draft minus two, I remember watching him like in the MHL playing like against 20-year-olds and just lighting it up. Um but moves really well for his size. Again, ridiculously solid offensive toolkit. Can make plays, can score goals. Really fun to watch. big big fan of Denil boot. Um and again for the fact that he’s already played like over a hundred games in the KHL is very impressive. Um yeah, draft minus two he played like 15 16 games in the KHL which is ridiculous. So he rocks. Number three, measuring in at 6’5. Um, fun anecdote for again Mammoth fans that maybe weren’t familiar because this all happened in the Arizona regime, but uh, left-handed defenseman Dmitri Simichev got taken sixth overall in the first round of 2023. Going 12 in 2023 was Denil Boot. And apparently they’re like best friends. And Simv was being interviewed as the pick happened and he’s like, “Wait, who got picked?” They’re like, “Denille Boot?” like, “Holy [ __ ] that’s my best friend.” Like, “What?” So, uh, very funny. But, uh, continue cuz I know this is a guy that you kind of gushed over draft here. Yeah. Well, I mean, it was like another your number one Dman on the board, right? Maybe. I’m trying to think the other Dman in that class. I think so, though. Or you were just like higher than consensus on him for sure. May. Yeah, maybe that was because this a lot of people thought this was a reach, didn’t they? And you were like, “No, love it.” I think there was like a lot of mixed opinion because when you looked at his like offensive numbers, like he I think he 18k uh was it 18? I don’t know why. I feel like it is 18. He played like 18 or 19 games in the KHL in his draft year and it was like zero points. And even when he was playing in the NHL, he wasn’t really putting up points. And it was like borderline confusing because I mean at his size, the skill that he has, how good he is on the puck, it like defied logic that he wasn’t like getting points. Uh and I remember like he was just setting up so many back door tapins that guys are missing left and right. And it was just like it was actually impressive the fact that he was playing like 30 minutes a night, had the puck almost the entire shift and was still finishing the game with zero points. But one of the best skaters at that size I’ve seen like in any draft eligible player. Um, and was playing a ton of KHL hockey as a draft minus one and his draft year. ridiculous skater, unbelievable with the puck, and he is mean, he hits, he’s physical. Obviously, he’s advanced sizewise. Like, he pretty much has every single physical tool you could ask for uh in a defenseman. And again, just the fact that he was probably at least in that class, he was easily the best skater um as far as Dman go. And to be honest, like most of the forwards, but three-way mobility, like you cannot beat him wide again, he’s going to suffocate you. Just you can’t you literally just can’t. He’s unbeatable. Uh especially like watching him play like juniors in Russia was a joke. Like I mean he was just so much better than everyone. I think there was one game he put him playing like 36 minutes and I was like Jesus Christ. Um but the upside there is insane. Even if he doesn’t put up points it doesn’t matter. He’s going to log a ton of minutes. Um he’s going to be one of those guys that like maybe his offense translates to him just being such a good transporter of the puck. Really good first pass. Makes life easy for your forwards. Um but I do think there’s some offensive upside. He’s probably good enough to play right now, but again, given the fact that they’ve got some of the guys like they signed Nate Schmidt, Ian Cole’s still there, he’s probably not going to get a whole lot of games, but I’d imagine he gets a game or two or he’s going to get a couple games here this year. He’s ready to play. Um, but he is ridiculously good and obviously again at that size how well he moves like you literally could not ask for if you were to build a defenseman in a lab it looks like Demetri Simichev. He’ll get a cup of vodka this year for sure. Um, number two is the [ __ ] of the group. 6 foot even. I’m convinced he was only drafted to spite all of the Calgary fan base. I have paid zero attention to him since draft day. What is the trajectory of one Tijla? Yeah, so Tijla uh six foot left winger plays really hard. His highlight tape in his draft was legitimately a joke. like he’s one of those guys whereas like every single clip that we had like it was like he’s going Sports Center top 10 mode pretty much which anyone that hasn’t seen it by the way we’ve got the full highlight reel on the channel just search Tisha Ginla at the Sodapod YouTube channel um he’s a freak he’s fastest kid alive he’s the fastest kid alive yeah know his draft year he came out of nowhere and I remember like he started off the first 20 games he had like 40 something points and every slow down eventually and at no point did he slow down? I think he finished the year with Yeah. 84 points, 47 goals, 84 points in 64 games in his draft year. The reason you probably haven’t been able to pay as much attention to him since then is he missed almost I think he only played 20 games last year um before he got hurt and even then 14 goals and 32 points in 21 games uh with Colona again on a very average Colona team. Um and again then he got hurt. He’s ridiculously good at the U8s after he got or right before he got drafted as well. So he’s been a team Canada guy. just missed a ton of time this year. So like yeah, but my god just like the upside the plays that he pulls off the shot and I mean another guy that also just pairs that with ridiculous pace, energy to compete like he’s literally I mean he’s Jerome’s son so there you go. Um but he is yeah not many people know this. Not many people know this. Son of Jerome Gibna. Yes, that Jerome Gibbl never connected those dots. I know. Not many people did. No one knew this. It’s It’s right there next to Muhammad for most commonly used names on Earth. So, this is breaking breaking news. This is the first first time anyone’s ever mentioned it actually. Um, it’s entirely new information. Yeah. No, but I mean, every time he touches the puck, look, wants to make a play again. can score goals, can make can make passes, like just dynamic skill. Um, and again, just the insane motor, just non-stop on the ice. So, wants to make a difference every time he jumps over the boards and when he’s healthy, more often than not, he does. So, very fun player to watch. Again, I encourage everyone to go watch that highlight reel that we put up while this draft year because it was a joke. Um, so hopefully he gets healthier and can play and get right back to where he was at before. Um, but the upside is just insane with Tijin and number one in the pool measuring 62. The is it the lone center of the pool? I believe at least the top 10. Um, and a guy that I would imagine most of our fellow Mammoth fans are aware of, but maybe there’s some that just don’t care about the draft, don’t pay attention, or saw that he was picked and they’re like, “What the hell is a Caleb Day?” Although, they probably said Dez Neyear. What do they need to know about this guy who you actually like a couple days before the draft I think you had him ranked like 10 and then I checked the day of our draft show and you bumped him up to like five. I’m like oh okay. Yeah. Yeah. I made that. And that was the thing about he’s one of like half he’s like one of 16 players in my first round that I probably had six spots either lower or higher than like on draft day. I like minutes before the draft I was like, “No, put that guy from 32 to 8.” Um, u I mean, Caleb Day like the resume is like he’s literally won everything you could possibly win outside of a mem Cup. He’s one of QMJHL champion, QMJHL MVP. He’s one of world star. Uh, what? He’s one of World Juniors then, right? It’s Water World Juniors. When uh what year was that one? [ __ ] Huh? Hold on. What? No, sorry. That was a the U8 Worlds. I was being cheeky. Like I know he hasn’t because America. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No, he’s won Yeah. 2024 they won. He won a U7 and a U8. Okay. Uh then 20 this draft year one Helena uh QMJHL first allstar funniest trophy ever funniest award by the way QMJHL personality of the year outrageously funny award. Uh big fan of that one. Uh playoffs MVP. Um and a big reason I ended up putting him way higher. I mean he literally jumped five spots on the list was we found out like halfway through the year he like [ __ ] his wrist up. Yeah. And then like I think also [ __ ] up his other hand was playing dominating. Yeah. Was legitimately dominating. But the the ideal two-way centerman again solid defensive habits, can skate, can make plays, can score goals. Um he just kind of like he just plays such an NHL style. Really smart obviously and again just the fact that he’s won literally everything outside of there you go world juniors but has literally won everything else. um just an incredible player. So, uh the other day he probably topped I I don’t know if I necessarily put him in the category like 1C out and out, but I think like he’s going to be just a solid second line setter that plays on your first power play unit. It’s going to need to be a one when you play with Logan [ __ ] Mhm. There you go. Um but yeah, I mean there’s really not a whole lot of aspects of his game that you can like nitpick on. So, um, you know, once he gets fully healthy, I’m excited to see what he does next year again cuz I mean it’s the Q, so he’s going to like somehow put up even more points. Um, and I mean, he just affects every area of the game. So, plays a ton of minutes and what he did this year on like half of one arm is insane. Um, so ton of upside there and, uh, super super high floor. And there you go. First rendition of the Utah Mammoth, the Book of Mammoth. Book of Mammoth. Pot of Mammoth. Um, crushing cans with Mammoth fans. Mhm. Just wait till they find out that we have the Prophet Joseph Smith in the network. We’re We’re set. Ideally, we bring him on every once in a while for a segment, but like we don’t let him do any research. What are we talking about? What into the like don’t tell him? He’s going to be on for 10 minutes. We’re only there for like oh just whatever’s like happening with the Wild. Oh, hey Joe, by the way, we’re actually going to get into uh Utah Mammoth. Yeah. What do you think Logan [ __ ] guy so like it plays. What what do you think about the future for uh Elaf Ilia Fett? What do you think about his uh development so far? Uh the 03 left winger. Right on par with Vlad First. Um [Music] we might have to mess around if we’re really bored this summer. do a mixed pool ranking of like Minnesota and Utah, like have them layered within just like who’s the best across the pools. That could be fun. Yeah. You know what? I do regret not throwing in the honorable mention just for the name specifically. The goalender they took this this draft class, Ivan Cotch Kachenko. Like his last name is TK A- TK AO. The way you pronounced it though just gave me all of the uh forgetting Sarah Marshall P vibes. [Laughter] Yeah. No, actually at home that was like eight honorable mentions. We’re getting a deep dive of the top 18 prospects in Utah. Now 19. And I mean I didn’t even mention another all name team guy VT Visonin. Um they also have two L too. Yeah. Yeah, they also have two Ludvigs in their pool. Ludvig Jansson, who I did mention, and then Ludvig Loftton, another great name. Um, Gregory Bbear, Rico Aleno, they’ve got some real they they I mean, they might be as far as like your prospect pool of all name team guys, they they’re pretty high on the list, dude. Our our first uh nickname, I think, if uh Max Senica ends up being a a guy, he’s Petri. It’s the silent P. He’s a pterodactyl. Goes right alongside the mammoth. It’s a deep enough cut that like four people will get it. Everyone else you like, wait, what? And that’s still less confusing than Rick D’Vorski. So Rick Yeah, I loved that one just cuz it was like, what the [ __ ] Who the [ __ ] are you talking about? Um, [Music]
