ESPN put out some poll-based power rankings last week. We didn't get much respect, coming in at #19, which is right where this same poll had us before the playoffs. I guess whoever they asked didn't think much of our off-season additions. Who knows, maybe they are right, but I think we might turn some heads this year. We were a few more made-shots, and a few fewer defensive turnovers away from a wildcard slot last year, and it looks like we should be better in those areas (at least on paper).

  1. Yeah, seems to me a pretty fair ranking of the team currently. We have a lot of young talent and I like the moves made in the offseason but until we see it fully on the ice it is hard to put us up in the top half of the league.

  2. Look at the cup odds, though. You can tell we are more highly regarded, generally, than a lot of the teams above us.

  3. These rankings should change and for the better. We have a lot of what if questions to answer being such a young team.
