This is Jason Robertson. And according to reports, a serious contender is all in on trading for this player. There have been plenty of rumors and discussions about Robertson’s future with the Dallas Stars, sparking speculation that the 26-year-old winger could be traded before the upcoming season even begins. And the Florida Panthers of all teams are heavily interested in acquiring this player. But is this even possible? Can the Panthers pull off yet another crazy move? Well, Matthew Kachchuck will now be out for a good chunk of the season, needing to have surgery on some of the injuries that he sustained during the playoffs. And because of this, the Panthers now have the ability to get a little bit creative with their cap space. Right now, Robertson is making $7 million on his current contract and is looking for an extension. And with the Panthers being $3 million over the cap at this point, it’s very unlikely that a move like this would happen.
