What are the odds Brees is a first ballot HoFer? What are the odds Rivers ever makes it?

Both will definitely make it in
Brees 100%. I think Rivers would have if they didn’t drop the amount of inductees per year. He will definitely get in but probably not first ballot.
If Gates wasn’t a first ballot HOFer then I honestly don’t know what is.
I think Rivers should make it, but he might not. He played in an era with a ton of hall of fame QBs. And the NFL hall is way stricter than the NBA where everybody makes the dang hall.
I’ll riot of Rivers doesn’t get in eventually.
Brees is 100 percent first ballot
Slim
Brees for a period of time was the all time leader in passing yards, multiple 5000yd seasons, a Super Bowl, multiple time finalist for MVP. I THINK he should be first ballot but at minimum gets in for sure.
Rivers… iffy. Can’t undersell everyone’s influence on no rings.
I’d be shocked if Brees didn’t get in on the first ballot. Him and Fitzgerald on that list are locks to make it.
Rivers gets in but it’ll probably be a little while IMO.
They changed the way they accept people into the hall of fame. I think he’ll get in.
Rivers, Brees, Gore, Fitz. Do it. Do it.
Brees is 100% first ballot.
If Rivers is a finalist in 2026 he should make the hall in the next 5 years.
Greg Olsen sucked. No offense to him. Why would he be a hall of famer. Maybe he didn’t “suck” but he wasn’t great. What is this?
Idk if Eli didn’t get in first ballot with his two Super bowls it may take Phil a couple years.
If Matt Ryan doesn’t make it with similar counting stats, an MVP and Super Bowl appearance, then there’s no chance Rivers does unfortunately. Rivers is my all time favorite player and I would like to hope that the people in the hall understand how good he was
Brees is *probably* a first ballot, Rivers who knows. The discourse has always seemed to be that Eli will get in before Rivers, and Eli missed out last time.
Brees, Fitz and witten are the 3 guarantees of those guys
Yes rivers is a hall of famer.if Dan Fouts is a first ballot hall of famer then they guy with more everything than Dan fouts should also be a hall of famer.
Rivers will get in. Gates has made it in, and Brees and Rivers are the 2 QB that helped put up his numbers. Rivers has put up Top 10 stats with a revolving door of coaching staff, never truly having a champions team behind him, barring one or 2 years. He was a competitor and passionate about the game, with the second most consecutive starts. I don’t think the Superbowls are as big of a deal as it is made out to be, since 53 guys win a ring every year, and are many greats in the HoF without one.
What is Dez Bryant doing on that list
Brees is a lock for first ballot.
I think Rivers gets in as a senior committee guy in like 30 years
Rivers will make it but he will probably have to wait a while. Won’t be this year. Next year (I think) Ben will leapfrog him. Then Brady will definitely jump over him. Class of 2030 maybe.
I mean, how many QBs are first in TDs, yards, completions, and games played for a franchise? Not to mention 2nd all time consecutive starts. 6th all time passing TDs. 6th all time passing yards. If that’s not HoF worthy, what’s the fucking point??
According to google, the NFL HoF inducts 4-8 new members every year. Out of this group, Brees, Fitzgerald, and Gore wil probably get in first ballot. Then you have to account for players that are eligable, but not first ballot. Unfortunately, that doesn’t leave a lot of room for Rivers in this class, and since the NFL media has been pushing “First Ballot” as a big thing lately, I don’t think they’re going to elect both Brees and Rivers in first ballot. Rivers absolutely desrves to get in, but probably not this year.
However, if Jason Witten is a “First Balllot” when Antonio Gates wasn’t, we riot!
Brees is 1st ballot IMO. Rivers legitimately may not get in unfortunately. He’s right at that line
