Winning Pitcher Losing Pitcher Save

  1. If going 4-6 in our last 10 is as bad as it gets that’s really NBD. Also, if we win tomorrow this series was petty inconsequential. The way we’ve been losing, though… man. Hard to not be at least a little bit concerned about our pitching.

  2. Worst case scenario. Offense is nowhere to be found and losing critical ground on the Brewers. Known we’ve needed pitching for months with no return. Doesn’t feel great right now despite what the standings and record reflect

  3. Highlight of the game was when I spent most of the bottom of the fourth inning cleaning up the root beer I accidentally kicked over in frustration when Dansby struck out on a pitch that almost went into the Brewers dugout.

  4. I am gonna go to bed thinking about Shota picking up the ball tomorrow. Let’s Go Cubs.

  5. If this isn’t enough of a wake-up call to be aggressive af the next 2 days, this franchise deserves to live in the shadow of 2016 in perpetuity. The NL is as wide-open rn as it will ever be. You’ll bet your ass that the Dodgers will cover all their bases in the off-season. Huge window right now.

  6. Biggest series of the year and the entire team has their heads up their asses. 2 non-competitive/embarrassing games

  7. If there’s any good that came out of today, maybe they will actually DFA Pressly

  8. 3 runs and 3 errors. What a sloppy and flat game they played. Tucker is hitting .205 in his last 21 games while Seiya is mired in 4 for 37 slumped

  9. This team is the embodiment of missed opportunities. Two inning in a row early in the game, we had runners in scoring position with less than two outs and we messed up. The other team takes advantage of runners in scoring position. Then we have a solo home run that does little for the team. Our bullpen that was doing so good has been over exposed because the starting pitching outside of imanaga, Boyd, has been questionable. Something needs to be done between the deadline tomorrow but we are screwed because the whole Kyle Tucker situation. We can’t trade guys like Cassie or alcantra because if they are gone and Kyle leaves, what do we do then? It’s very complicated

  10. Need Shota to wake up pissed off tomorrow. Save this series and sorry ass team

  11. Time to make a move Jed. Some kind of a trade or a call up needs to happen fast. This roster needs some life or a shakeup.

  12. 1-12 with RISP, pitching garbage again. The vibe feels like a team struggling to tread water.

  13. Why did we extend Jed? This is just bad. The team is broken. Ricketts cheap asses just like Jed because he’s a lackey for them

  14. We had a hot May. Brewers have had a hot July. Stupid Pale Vaughn riding the Pale PCA coattails. On to tomorrow and hoping we do better in the 4 game stretch against the brewers at home mid august.

  15. Both sides of the ball are so very, very unclutch as of late; you can’t be going 1 for 12 and expect to win many ball games. I suppose the entire top portion of the order going cold simultaneously is partly responsible for the recent mantra of either win big or lose big, as the last time the team lost by 3 or fewer runs was back on July 9th vs the Twins.

Just avoid the sweep tomorrow and prepare for the upcoming divisional thunderdome of August. And for God’s sakes, get a starter.

  16. Brewers looked awesome. They had pitching, hitting, defense, running & young energy. As much as I am beyond sad, I tip my hat to them. They played like 1st place team. Is it Ryno, are we just out of sync? As of now, we still have wild card opportunity. Top of the order not hitting, we had errors & didn’t look like commanders of our division. Tomorrow another day, please Shota! 🙏

  17. Not gonna lie, the Cubs look shook — and the Brewers look like they’re trying to put their foot on our neck in July. Cubs are making errors, bad pitches, and horrible ABs with RISP, while the Brewers just keep pressuring and pressuring and pressuring.

  18. Still early, but tomorrow’s game is a big one. There is huge difference from being 1 game out and being 3 games out. I posted prior to the start of this series that no real damage would be done unless one of the two teams had a sweep.

  19. I miss Ron Santo’s presence in the broadcast booth.  This was the sort of game that brought out the best in him.  JEEZ, UNREAL, UNREAL, YOU OUGHT TO BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES  … simmer down Ron. simmer down

  20. One of Two things will happen in the next three days: 1) they will make an all in move that is way too much for way too little or 2) they will make a small move and give some BS logic of not mortgaging the future… if they do that they will “try” to resign Tucker with the whole “the Chicago experience “ excuse for lowballing him and getting outbid by an independent league softball team. A lot more questions than answers right now about nearly every aspect of this team.

  21. I’m ready to board the “Trade Tucker” train. If the intent is not to re-sign him, let’s get some pitching that can help in 2026. I don’t think this is a playoff competitive team
