fans. We were all saddened to learn of the passing of Hall of Famer Ryan Sandberg, who died yesterday at the age of 65 following a fight with cancer. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends, and fans. At this time, please join us in a moment of silence. Thank you. [Applause] 23 forever indeed as the Cubs remember Ryan Sandberg. And welcome to Cubs baseball here tonight on Marquee Sports Network. The Cubs and the Brewers from American Family Field. It is game two of this three-game series. Check the standings. The Brewers a win last night. So, they’re up a game. Pretty clear what the Cubs need to do here this evening as a sinker and a cutter. The Brewers staff overall likes to throw that cutter a lot. He’s riding an eightgame winning streak. The Brewers have won each of his last 10 starts. Push first pitch swinging. Fouls it back and we are underway. in the air out towards left center field and it’ll be Collins to make the catch. Bush retired and our keys to the game brought to you by your local Hyundai on the ground. Ortiz backhands and throws out sale. One, two, three go the Cubs. [Applause] The 1-1 taps softly towards third, charging his Shaw. Unloads quickly, but Cheurio too fast and it’ll be an infield hit. Kind of a swinging bunt and the Brewers who lead the majors in infield hits is a 1-1 and Shaw has a kick off his glove and trickle out into left center. Contrarus is aboard. Yeah. Yeah. He’s the highest ground ball rate in the game. hits it on the ground here. Big hop corner and the Cubs are happy with the ground ball version of Yelich right there. No runs a hit, an error and a man left. 3-2 outside ball four and PCA is a board. Tiger Chris Hook and Pat Murphy decided to stick with him and he pitched well. That one on a hop under the glove of Bryce Terang and out into center field. Nico her sizzles one past the second baseman. Yeah, see how they score this. Now I got to go play baseball. That is hammered center field. Cheerio back and he makes the catch. Tagging from second and moving up to third as Pete Crow Armstrong as Hap hit that right on the nose. the pitch towards third. Seedler goes to second. Out at second. The run comes in and the Cubs have the lead. Interesting play by Seagler. I watched that play develop. I’m thinking, well, if you’re going to go home, take a shot there. The throw to Becken base was his third best option. It’s a difficult play. barely gets Nico. I mean, for my money, I’d take a shot at PCA. Be too first. One- nothing Cubs. Line drive. Base hit left center field. Swanson around second and Dansby head first into third. They’re at the corners. Man, they’re hanging out some line drives here in the early going. Bit more upright at the plate. The 1-1 broke his bat right side. Terra takes it in and throws him out. The Cubs though get on the board midway in the second. One zip. Two-2. Hit hard on the ground. Diving play on the backhand. Shaw. Long throw way high and BCH will go and retrieve it. Two-2 line drive out towards right center field. That’s a base hit. Tucker will take it in and the Brewers have two on with nobody out. Colin allowed three home runs in his last start against Kansas City. Here comes gets the bunt down. It’s a good one. Ray picks it up, slings to first and they get to Rang. Drilled out towards right center field. Pete Cole Armstrong and the move and he makes the catch tagging from third and coming in to score is Vaughn. And we’re starting overtime in one. The one two outside corner got him and Ray freezes Ortiz. The Brewers however and Suzuki carved up by Quinn F. Here’s the pitch. Line drive. Base hit left center field. Freelick the other way. Back up the middle and a base hit. Two on and one out. 3-2 to Christian Yelich. And that’s ball four. They’re loaded from 3 and 0 to 3 and two. And then he walked him drilled to center. the Pete Crow Armstrong back back some more and he hauls it in. Tagging from third and coming in to score is Cheurio and it’s a two-1 Brewers lead. Isaac Collins popped up foul. Maguire has it and Ray gets out of it. The Brewers however take the lead. It’s 2-1 Milwaukee. You know, V deserves it all. I’m just saying that one slapped into center field and a base hit. Two-1 off the pitcher’s mid. Can’t find it. Prester. Everybody’s safe. Two to half. On the ground to the right side. Terrain bobbles. Now his only play is to first. They get the out, but runners advance to second and third. And that’s a huge break. Rester sets, fires, swing, and a miss. He got him to wave at a cutter biting outside. Little dribbler, fair ball, and out is coming out. Not reviewable. That is not reviewable. This will give us a good look. I was blocked and and I think DJ Rayurn was blocked as well. He had his best guess. Greg’s going to say, “Can you ask for help?” But I can’t imagine the base umpires from 90 plus feet away are going to have a better look. It’s 2-1 Milwaukee. Bounced up the middle. Her on the back hand gets rid of it quickly. Nice pick by Bush. Throw off. Kind of slings it over there against across his body. And a real nice pick by Michael Bush. [Applause] 2-1 line drive and that’s a base hit out into center field. All right, so trade deadline and this runner goes again and that one redirected out to short. Swanson picks it up and he throws him out. Whoa. Yeah. Where did that get Colin Ray? The one two swing at a foul tip into the mid of Maguire and Felic is gone. back to work. Line drive out towards right center field. That’s going to touch down and Shaw is going to get a chance to run. Matt headed towards second and he’ll stop there. It’s a double for Matt Shaw. A good start to the top of the fifth. Run at third. And that is ball four. And King Tuck will take his base. [Applause] counts towards third. Seagler to second for one. Return to first. Two. Ouch. 543 and that ends the inning. Bears drilled out to center. Pete Crow Armstrong back and it’s over his head. Tucker going to track it down. Cheerio on his way to third and he’s got a triple. Second hit of the night for Cheerio. He had a 20-game hitting streak snapped last night. Easy to say, boy PCA got too close to the wall. Couldn’t handle the car. But PCA, he makes plays up against the wall all the time. He’s in dog pursuit. Tucker has to come busting over from right to get that rebound. By the time he does, Cheerio’s on third base. Everybody else pretty tight. Drilled towards left center field. And that’s off the top of the wall. In to score is Perkins. Throw to second is too late. And Contrarus with an RBI double and the Brewers have a 3-1 lead. That was smoked. 2-1 to center. Pete Co Armstrong back. Gets turned around and makes the catch. Oh no. And he dropped it. Wow. Yeah, a little bit of a kind of a funky route. Obviously got turned around a little bit, but he was in good position to secure that baseball and just had it pop out of the end of his glove. Okay, he went to peak and the ball squirted out of his glove. Second and third, nobody out. Up the middle and that gets through. In to score is Contreras stopping at third is Yelich and it’s 4-1. Ball four and Collins will take his base. They’re loaded up. So the Brewers an opportunity here to break this thing open. Base is loaded and nobody out. And Bryce Terang coming up to hit. Swing and a miss. Struck him out. Pomez gets Terang. And there’s one away. First one and two. Fly ball right field. Tucker makes the catch, tagging from third and scoring is Yelich. And the Brewers add another. It’s 5-1. In the air, corner out to the outfield. Makes the catch. Inning over, but the Brewers score three times and add on. It’s 5-1. Corner drills that one left field. That’s back towards the wall. gone. Nico her will touch them all. And the Cubs get a run back for Nico, his fourth of the year. Cubs fans on their feet applauding Nicoer. A little ambush surprise party. Toyota official vehicle of the Chicago Cubs. She gets that breaking ball from Prester and unloads on it. [Applause] Line drive, fair ball into the right field corner and half around first on his way to second and Ian’s got a double. That’s what I’m talking about. There’s that line that Nico had for us way back in spring training about Ian Hap. If you spin it in the zone, you’re asking for trouble. A 10 pitch battle with Prester. Line drive. Base it. Left field. Hack will be held as Swanson comes through. And they’re at the corners. Real good swing here by Danby. You see Barry watching that play develops. No, we cannot try to score him here. Hammered right fatal curling down the line and a foul ball. Whoa. Yeah, was right. Just misses the long ball that would have knotted this thing up. I mean, that was a top spin backhand down the right field line. Priest on the ropes right here. Can they deliver the knockout blow? inside corner. Got him. That’s a big time pitch. Ashby deals. Popped up terrain and Ashby gets out of it. The Cubs get a run but leave a couple. It’s 52. Presley ready deals and that is ball four. The 1-1 line drive off the glove of her ricochets to center. They might be able to get him at second, but PCA’s throw is offline. Knuckling a little bit. Yeah. hard hit, but normally you kick the pitch. And that missed by a lot. So Yelich will take his base. Highf fly ball left center field. That one’s back on its way and gone. Grand Slam Andrew Vaughn and it is all Brewers. Walk air walk. And then Von unloads. Big leg kick. Big uppercut swing and a no doubter. Correct. Council immediately goes to the phone for Yokohama. Swing and a miss and a strike out. Terra is gone, but the damage done. Andrew Vaughn continues his red hot swinging on the ground to the hole in short. Sliding play by Ortiz and they get Turner. That is a really nice play [Applause] almost randomly. Hey, let’s see. Yeah, that one’s clicked into left field and Suzuki’s got a double. They’ll hold Tucker at third. the 2-1 out towards right center field and Freelick makes a sliding catch. Tagging and scoring is Tucker. It’ll be a sack fly and it’s 93 right field. Free lick back and makes the catch. Cubs pick up a run. Time to stretch in Milwaukee. It’s 93. Durban will take his base as Christy walks like Perkins now. [Applause] High ball to right. Tucker and we will head to the eighth here in Milwaukee. Handed fouls that one off his foot. Ouch. Yeah, maybe right on the ankle. The two swing in a miss. You tell outside corner and Reese Maguire is gone. Ashby gets him and one, two, three go the Cubs. as Contrarus takes ball four up. Jeez from the big fella. See you later. And Hollowell gets the strike out. We’ll head to the ninth. 93. [Applause] a short and Ortiz throws out birdie and that’s the ball game. [Music]

  1. Brewers never won the world series we have we won 3 1907 1946 & 2016 Brewers fans relax y'all don't run nothing Cubs still on top Go Cubs Go 💪🏾😂😂

  2. Well I see it like this. What are the odds the Cubs keep up the great offense and defense the rest of the season? What are the odds the Brewers play mediocre baseball like they did in their first half of the season? About the same. Our record is against us but it’s against the Brewers as well. Let’s see how this plays out. GO CUBS GO! I believe this is our season!

  3. I think we need to leave council in milwaukee it was not a good idea to hire him away from them it brings us nothing but bad luck. He is no better than Ross! I'm discussed with you guys
