I forget how much of an absolute beast E-Rod was this game
It was like a funeral at the start…and nothing but jubilation at the end. I’ll never forget how great it felt, jumping up and down, tears running down my cheeks when that clock read 0:00.
Still one of the most incredible moments I have ever seen…and a well deserved first championship. Many were giving the Cats the last rites and making the Oilers victors before they had pulled it off. It felt so good to see Edmonton’s cup hopes go up in smoke…and even better when it happened again this year!
Watched the entire thing yesterday. Even though I know what happens, it still gave me anxiety watching it
The game that the Oilers gave up on. As much as I want to see such an intense challenging game from both teams, the Oil failed to deliver. I cheered for the Panthers from day one , the Oil were a team to beat but not this way.
