Mariners vs. Athletics Game Highlights (7/29/25) | MLB Highlights

And it’s veteran right-hander Luis Severino on the mound for the Athletics. 23rd start of the season for Sebie coming off a couple good outings back to back. And I think a lot of the conversation surrounding those outings was the fast ball. It’s a four pitch walk. Swung on to miss on a breaky ball away. Rodriguez Kay one out. Here is Cal Raleigh. One out and one on. 41 home runs to lead the majors. Line into right field for a base hit. Hardit single from Cal Raleigh in the button. Now the Mariners have two on with one away for Josh Naylor. One two and he just struck out Naylor. Two strikeouts now for Severino and he will welcome Randy Rosarena to the plate. Swung on a miss on a breaking ball away and Severino works out of it. He gives up a walk and a single but he Ks three. Logan Evans is on the mound today making his first career start against the Athletics. I want everybody to pay attention. He’s got the mock turtlenecks and he has cut off the sleeves today. Evans on a one-two a wave and a miss. Good change up. Strikes out Lawrence Butler. Not a good start for Logan Evans. Curts lays off the sweeper and walks with one out. Soft ground ball. Williamson back at it over to second. Young to first. Not nearly in time. The one two on the way to Langanger swinging a drive straightaway center field. Julio turning going back reaching up at the warning track and he makes the catch and that’s going to retire the side. Severino trying to have a little more of a a routine or orderly second inning. Severino just struck out Kzone looking. Guess what? It’s on a fast ball at Sanker. Little back whip action and this is Sevy. You start this ball inner third. You can see where Shay is set up. And I mean that was Maddox’s s the way that thing came back. That’s what you call life. Swung on a ground ball left side taken by Hern charging short. Throws the first for the out in the inning. It’s over. And so for Severino it’s a one two three top of the second. That’s inside. So the have a start. The second walk allowed by Evans. That’ll bring up on Zuar. Swing and a miss. A fast ball went right after him and overpowers and Duhar. Here’s the pitch. Runner goes and it’s strike three called. Evans strikes out. Ouras looking. It took a little while for Mr. Rehack, hopefully umpire, to come up with that right arm. Here’s Lawrence Butler. Line drive. One hopper and it’s off the glove of Crawford into center. That was hit hard. Breaking ball ran in on Curts. Head of the A’s now at first and second with one out for Brent Rooker. One, two again. Breaking ball hammered to left. That ball’s got a chance and that ball is gone. Well, Brent Rooker got a breaking ball that stayed up just enough he was able to open up and hammer this thing down the line. I know initially off the bat you start to wonder fair foul, but I’m thinking this ball is hit entirely too hard. That question is answered. That was a missile off the bat of Brent Rooker. Three to nothing a his home run of the year. RBI’s 59, 60, and 61. And it’s Langalers now. And he’ll line it beyond the reach of Crawford into the alley in left center. Langalers takes a turnaround first. He’s going to test Rodriguez. The throw is off the bag. And now Langalers has a double to follow up Brooker’s three-run home run to left. Langalers at second. And on Duar. He’s riding a three-game hitting streak. Up again after striking out in the second. That’s swung on. Drive to left center. Rodriguez on the move. Won’t get there. Ball’s going to run off the wall. Langelers will score on Duard in his second with a double. It’s 4 nothing Athletics. On Duard’s 24th RBI of the year, if you’re asking me, and I don’t sign the checks, I’d like to see him right where he is right now with this ball club next year. This is a little flare dumping into right field for a base hit. Rose two out single. There goes Randy. The throw, the tag, and he’s safe. Randy Rosarena with his fifth consecutive 2020 season. What a feat. Rosarena hoist that bag. Here’s the one two. Swung on line drive. Base hit right field. Randy scoots around third base. He’s going to score. And the Mariners have their first run. Jorge Palano an RBI base hit. It’s now 4-1 A’s with two outs, four straight reach. And the bases are loaded up right now. Just a battle. I mean, two quick, two early outs for Severino here in the fourth. And then knock, knock, knock, walk. 3-2 payoff pitch line drive. Hern stabs it. Throw the first. They got him. Wow. Incredible. Just scoop it up on the one up. Make sure it’s not a 4-3 ball game. That’s a fine play. 4-1 A’s the wind up band. The one to Langali. Breaking ball lifted to deep left field. A Rose Arena will turn and watch it fly out of the ballpark. Shay gets his 18th and makes it a 5 to one athletics lead. Well, Logan Evans has shown great stuff in terms of quality of his arsenal. Just been a matter of a few mistakes for the uprighter. Two out single that sets up on Duhar who had an RBI double two innings ago. On Duhar drills one down the left field line of base hit rolling into the corner all the way to the wall. And here’s Soderson from around third. They’re going to wave him. There’ll be no throw. And the A’s take a six to one lead. And Duhard drills a two-base hit down the left field line. That’s his second double tonight. That ball was hit right on the button. And when Hart gets hot, he sends ringing drives all around the ball for him. You’re right. Sean Nukem. Nukem. He’s here to get outs and chew bubble gum. And he’s all out of bubble gum. Good pitch. froze Crawford. Yeah, I don’t think so. Not as cool as this Shawn Nukem locked up slide piece. Crawford cannot get the bat going and Shawn Nukem feels like he’s just picking up right where he has left off the last few times we have seen him out on the mound. Nukem did his job there striking out Raleigh on the sler. I mean, it’s just a bucket of filth out there for Shawn Nukem right now and he is dipping deep into it. Swung on a miss, handcuffed him with a sinker. Down he goes. So, three strikeouts in the inning for Nukem. No runs, one in a man left. We’re through six and a half. And now Michael Kelly will enter the fold here in the eighth. How good has Michael Kelly been? Swung on a miss. And Kelly blows away the Mariners in a 123. Top of the eighth to the ninth inning. Six to one A’s. Michael Kelly who moves into his second inning out of the pin. Little bouncing ball up the first base side. It’s Kelly with a bare hand. Quick flip to first and Curts says he held the bag but as he received it had to move off of the first base bag. I think they’re going to take a peek and I think that left foot was able to hold. You can see the reaction very early from Nick Curts. Oh yeah, done deal. And this is one of those plays where slowing it down is crucially important. And yes, he did have his foot on the bag in the bang bang play. Have to review the call on the field is overturned. The runner is out. What’s really remarkable about it, Dallas, is not only does he corral the baseball, but he’s able to get out of the way of Young to avoid a bad collision. Well, Mariners down to their final out now. And here’s JP Crawford. Two two from Kelly. Lie drive. Diving catch by Curtson. That’s how the game will end. Oh, what a play by the first baseman. A’s win six to one. Well, if you thought rolling the pole was all the big Amish was capable of, you better think again. He can swing and he can churn up the defense as well. How about that? The big bobber from Lancaster says, “Not today.

  1. Another game against an opposing pitcher with an ERA hovering around 5.00 – another mediocre M's offensive performance. Top 5 M's hitters go 4/20 with 9K's. So much for a needed sweep – go M's!

  2. Rooker allowed to get a homerun finally, and if you watch his last 10 games you can tell he was told not to before this game. Every game is controlled by billion dollar betting conglomerates. Wake up. Stop supporting fake sports.
