It’s happy hour somewhere so take a shot for a Terry thread. Report says McLaurin extension could come sooner rather than later. Expected to be 2 to 3 years and not a huge contract. Screenshots included because the site is full of ads that make the website annoying. (Link in comments)

Would be very happy with 3 years, 🤞🏻hope he retires a commander
The Courtland Sutton contract not good for Terry. Same age similar numbers = 23M. Ouch.
Btw, how do extensions work vs signing a new contract? Would the extension begin in 2027 season? Or does it void next year? I know it’s probably like it sounds, extending the existing contract…but I sometimes get confused. I’d be all in for a reasonably priced two year extension with a bump in salary this year
What is the source for this?
This is the move. The team can’t handicap itself by paying him so much for so long. Give him an average of $30M for three years that goes from 33 to 30 to 27 then reevaluate when he’s in his 30s.
I think he deserves $30M AAV to be honest
The same people saying “What the hell is Adam Peters doing?!” will eventually be talking about what a masterclass he put on when Terry signs for less than we all expected. If he was waiting out the Sutton deal the whole time that’s extremely savvy GM’ing

Guys I’ve tried to post the link to the source a few times. Not sure why it’s not displaying. Anyway, the article is from SportsKeeda.
Pure gut feel and baseless speculation – if he signs a 2 or 3 year deal, I don’t think he retires a commander. I hope he does, but we’ll see.
I kinda expected this mainly due to his age and what he’s likely looking for per year. Hell be 30 by the time this kicks in and if you look around the league what 30 yr old receiver is producing at that level which would require such a contract value?
Not many…
Yall got me drinkin at work now
If Terry accepts a deal less than $30m, I wonder if he knows he won’t get that elsewhere, and definitely won’t get it a year from now if he hit free agency.
For a guy who has never really been hurt, never really had a major injury, and who is a guy who doesn’t rely strictly on speed hasn’t shown signs of slowing down, I think he has more than 3 seasons left as a premier receiver in the league.
