So, could the Brooklyn Nets be trading away Cam Thomas to the Charlotte Hornets this 2025 NBA offseason? Well, here on the screen is a trade proposal or a trade idea from fadeawayorld.net. So this trade to me makes a little bit more sense in regards to where Cam Thomas could be going first and foremost and what the asking price may be for him on the trade market. So the Charlotte Hornets receiving Cam Thomas would actually make a lot of sense to me just sort of based on the Hornets and how they built their team. Offensively speaking, he’s one of the better players in basketball. Like this guy can score the basketball at a tremendous rate. A little bit inconsistent. like he’s the type of player that can put up 40 points for three games in a row and then put up like seven points for the next five games. So, a little bit hit or miss in regards to how Cam Thomas plays basketball, but offensively speaking, you can’t deny his excellence and he can bring a lot of value to the table in that regard. So, if you were to go to this Hornets team and play alongside Lamelo Bal who offensively speaking is very gifted. Brandon Miller recently drafted Khan Canppple. this this Horn team all of a sudden have a pretty good young core that can score the basketball at an extremely high clip. So I think if they want to go into all offense next year and sacrifice defense, Cam Thomas could make some sense and this could go one of two ways. It could be a tremendous move for them. They score out they score every team. Uh but defensively speaking there may be some pretty big holes. So a bit of a home run swing uh for the Hornets to make but for the asking price it’s it’s not terrible uh at the end of the day. Now from the Brooklyn Nets perspective they’re getting back an okay trade package like Josh Green of course being the focal point. Uh Pat Coneton’s nothing crazy at this point of his NBA career. Plus a second round draft pick swap isn’t anything crazy either. So I know the Brooklyn Nets have had some contract negotiations go pretty south with Cam Thomas. Uh the latest report is that they offered him about 14 million per season where Cam Thomas is looking more towards that 3040 million. So obviously it goes without saying the two are quite far apart. But there also has been some speculation as well regarding Cam Thomas and what maybe his trade value could be to other teams. Some teams may view this guy well. Some teams may view this guy as maybe more of an empty calorie guy. Um, you know, putting up good stats on a bad team. So, how would this fair in the trade market? I’m not 100% sure. So, I think this is pretty good value though for the Hornets in regards to a trade package for Cam Thomas. So, if I had to pick a winner for this deal, I’m going to go with the Hornets.
