Breaking news. Breaking news. The Angels have made a trade. What’s going on everybody? John FR, one half of Locked on Angels. Really fast, Andrew Chaffen and Luis Garcia, two relievers are coming over from the Nationals for Jake Eater and Sam Brown from the Angels minor league system. Uh, this appears to be the Angels going into buy mode. Now, it doesn’t appear to be a 2023 kind of buy where they gave up some significant pieces. The Angels need relief help and if they’re going to go for it, which it all indications are that they are now, uh, they just acquired two really veteran relievers who, you know, we’ve been saying they they need veteran presences in that bullpen. Uh, my 2022 2023 dreams of having Andrew Chaffen on the Angels are finally coming true. Of course, he’s a dominant lefty. He’s had a great season so far this year, a 2.70 erra in 20 innings. Uh Luis Garcia, former Halo, who we got four pieces back from the Red Sox last year. He’s coming back. Um hasn’t had a great season, but let me talk about his last couple games here in the month of July. He’s had 10 games, 33 uh batters faced. He’s got a point 90 RA over his last 10 games. You guys know as well as I do that relief pitching is always what have you done for me lately? And so that appears to be what they’re going for. He’s another veteran presence that they can use. But also, he had a really great tenure with the Angels last year, so maybe there’s something to that. All that to say, giving up Sam Brown and Jake Eater, not significant pieces, not a huge buy, not a lot of big chips to sell there. So, that’s good news. We’ll see if this is the end of it or we’ll see if this is the beginning of something for the halos.

  6. Luis Garcia back with us maybe getting back with the coaches they can find that past magic. Can't see how this hurts us for now or the future.

  7. Should be selling, not buying relievers that will make little impact at best.

    Of course this embarrassment of an organization tricks itself into believing they can contend every year.

    So sick of all the poor decision making and the losing.

  10. Chafin cost significant less than Kenley hope they use him and Strickland to set up Kenley or is this a move to give Chafin the closer role and trade Kenley. Next year Chafin has a 6.5M option so he is going to be here next year.

  15. I like this just some small trades for reinforcements. We can't tank for a low pick as we can only pick 10th so we are better off making a small push this year. Hopefully we can see some postseason action or the boys at or just under 500

  17. A+ Andrew C has command , is a lefty and calls strike 3 for the ump sometimes! Luis G has even hit 100mph w his fastball lately! Both no nonsense dawgs! Nice trade

  20. At least we are going to make a run for it, sure we may not do massive things, but it’s sure nice to KNOW, we aren’t just going to roll over and play dead. Nice to pick up some relief help. As a big fan, I ain’t angry about this one bit.

  21. LOSER organization being losers. They draft the 18 ranked player and pitcher instead of Ethan Holiday and now they are losing again. They have had 10 years strait of losing seasons and will make it 11. They are an embarrassment
