I’m excited to watch Mailloux play. Hated losing Bolduc, but feel like we got something really good here.

I’m also the weird fan who owns a Justin Faulk jersey, so I’m excited to see him play too😂

  1. Cam Fowler played great for us. We don’t make the playoffs. The chemistry between Fowler and parayko just gelled so nicely…but at some point it does feel like we need to see Broberg-Parayko getting significant minutes.

    Parayko is here till 2030 and there is not a player in the pipeline that I’m confident reaches top pairing potential to usurp him until his play drops. Jiricek is probably a 4D if his development turns around, he says healthy, and all goes right. Mailloux’s scouting report really makes it seem like he’s not a guy you want eating minutes in tough defensive matchups.

    If Broberg-Parayko becomes a thing then we’ve got a reasonable-ish first pair. Not the envy of the league, but two solid players. If Broberg-Parayko doesn’t work then we’ve got to get really creative on what our d-corps looks like, and we probably need an outside addition for at least one of those pairs.

    I don’t want a situation where the options are between us giving cam Fowler a 4 year deal, or us going through next offseason with no clue on if our top pairing works. Ofc a lot can change over the course of the year.
