The Dallas Cowboys Day 7 Training Camp HIGHLIGHTS Were ABSOLUTELY ELITE… | Cowboys News |
Ladies and gentlemen, another day here in Dallas for Cowboys training camp. And we have a lot more news, notes, highlights, observations for you guys in this video, including some more touchdowns to George Pickkins. Uh CD Lamb getting some more work, and also another young guy making an explosive play in team drills as well. We’re going to break down everything you need to know. However, before we dive into the video, I do want to give a major shout out to all the Dallas Cowboy media members out there, especially Joseph Hoy. You guys can go follow him right now if you haven’t already done so. He posts clips of almost every single play at practice. So, it will kind of feel like you’re at practice with the amount that he covers this team. Now, with that being said, comment down below two players that you are really excited to watch during this year’s preseason. And with that being said, let’s dive into this video. The first thing that we see right here is a great ball from Dak to CD uh to George Pickkins, excuse me, back right or back left corner of the end zone. Beautiful ball, beautiful placement, beats Maris Bell. Um again, when you get a one-on-one coverage like this right here, I mean, you’re going to take this every single day of the week. So, it looks like George Pickkins is right here. We’re getting out in the flats early and then boom, right? This is the route concept essentially. Now, once we can see that this is man-to-man coverage, once you see this guy kind of bite up on CB Lamb’s quick out, it’s a yes, no read. You can’t guard both of these guys with two defenders on the same side of the football field, whether you’re in twoey safety or one eye safety, you can’t double team both of them. That is basically what I’m what I’m talking about. Uh, when I say the versatility, the dynamic of this team becomes a lot more explosive with George Pickkins on it. And right here, you can kind of see, do not give this or do not leave this man in one-on-one coverage. If you’re a defense, it’s just not going to work. Another big time play here. We’re going to get just a quick read. Okay. Now, essentially, when you’re in the red area, usually quarterbacks tend to do a one-step drop, throw the ball, right? because at that time it’s just it’s not enough time for defenses to really set up that double team, rotate that safety over. So you’re going to see that get the ball. He’s going to take one step and he’s throwing the ball. Goal line fade. Beautiful play once again. Let’s actually read Don Bland here cuz he is the DB. It looks like he’s pressing. He’s trying to contain him and he just gets beat for a split second. Great ball. Turns his head around and it’s already too late. Great job here. I think this offense is going to be really tough to stop in red zone opportunities, red zone areas, just because of the two weapons they have on the outside, but also the amount of running game that they have with Javvante Williams and Miles Sanders and Phil Mafa and Jaden Blue. I think those guys are going to be key to opening up the deeper parts of the field once they start establishing that run and teams are forced to bring guys up to the line of scrimmage to ensure they’re not going to run the ball. And then you have these two weapons on the outside. It’s going to be it’s going to be so much fun to watch them throughout all of this year. Also saw some of the young defenders start to look really good. Marshon Nean is one of them who just continues to do good in this year’s uh training camp. I mean, here’s a play right here. Always keeping his eyes on the quarterback. Look at him right. He starts to disengage to the left side. His eyes are just locked and focused on the quarterback. Whenever you can make a play on that ball, whether it be a PBU, a pass breakup, or anything, right? a stack, force fumble, whatever it may be. Right here does an amazing job preventing them from getting a wide openen dump down that would have picked up four, five, six yards here on this play. Again, if it’s not for Marshall on that, that that’s a pickup. That’s a pickup of a couple yards. Uh, so great job by Neland. He’s really, in my opinion, working his way up this depth chart. I think he’s going to be huge for this team this year, especially looking at the blueprint the Eagles gave him. You need multiple sometimes six, seven guys who can rotate in off the edge to generate a pass rush. Marshon Nean’s going to be one of those guys for them this year. Now, immediately after that Marshawn Nean play that we just watched, he actually got a sack on the next one. So, you can already tell he is locked and loaded, becoming a better player. Here’s a nice little end around here to CD Lamb. Something that we’ve seen before, but expect to see it even more. Looks like Marshon Neland might be a guy that makes a play right here on this play as well. Marshon Nelan’s everywhere. But again, CD Lamb going to have the ball a lot this year. He’s going to have a lot of opportunity to break out for this football team once again. Maybe even be even more unstoppable. It looks like just shells today, by the way. Um, now before we get any further into this video, make sure you do me a big time favor. Hit the like button if you haven’t already done so yet. But most importantly, make sure you guys are subscribed to the channel. It is free. It doesn’t cost anything. And we will be covering the uh Dallas Cowboys throughout the entirety of this year’s off seasonason. That includes not only the rest of training camp, but also pre-season football, regular season football. We got you guys covered. Join the family. Turn on post notifications. That way, you’re notified when we do post more of these videos. And also, give me a statline prediction this season. Let’s assume that they stay fully ely. Give me a statline prediction for not only Sidi, but also George Pickkins. What do you think about those two guys and where they finish this year in terms of receptions, yards, touchdowns? Let me know. So, here’s a tweet from Joseph Hoy right here. He says, “The two starting corner combos I’ve seen for the Cowboys today are um obviously on Don Bland’s position. I think he’s more of a nickel. Uh but he is very interchangeable.” And that’s kind of what he’s saying right here. When Bland is on the outside, it’s Bland, Kyrie Elilam, and Kaman Hall in the slot. Again, I would assume that when fully healthy, I I think Bland will be in the slot. That’s just what I believe. Uh when Bland is in the slot, it’s Bland, Elon, and Troy Pride Jr. Now, we also have to assume that you have Trayvon Diggs who will be back at some point in time. Siobhan Revel is another guy who needs a lot of work. They’re not going to just make him the day one starter after not seeing him at all. So there is a lot of question mark right now but as of right now it seems like Kaman Hall and Troy Pride Jr. are two guys who have really worked up this dep chart and at least are working for a position uh or a role on within this defense right away. So I talked a little bit about a young player making a crazy play and it is right here. Tawn Holden makes a great onehanded snag during today’s practice. I mean this was unbelievable. back of the end zone. Holds it through through uh you know the ground contact. Great catch. Now he has not made plays like this consistently throughout camp thus far, but this could be the spark that kind of ultimately shoots him up this depth chart. Again, he’s got to do this consistently over the next few weeks and during these this preseason the preseason games. He needs to keep doing this and he keeps showing that he can go out and make big time plays for this offense. And this right here shows me it’s in his bag. You just got to find some consistency to it. Another big time play here for the offense. First thing we’re going to notice here, guys, look who the running back is. Jaden Blue. This is the first time he is working in with the first team offense during these team periods. Could be a big development. They like Jaden Blue. Now, this is not a play to Jaden Blue, but Dak drops back, looks, throws the ball down the field. Not great camera work here by uh Joseph Hoy, but ultimately they do get a touch. What looks to be a touchdown. Looks like potentially 101 coverage. No safety help over the top. Take your matchups. Looks like he does a good job. It looks like Malik Hooker could be in coverage here. We can barely see what’s going on here. Um very very uh tough camera work here. Brian Shanmer looking over. Looks like a good ball and a and a touchdown. So, hey, I’ll take that every day. With that being said, I am going to end the video here. If you want more film, make sure you guys go follow these reporters on Twitter or X, whatever you want to call it. Uh, but also hit the like button, subscribe, let me know in the comments your predictions on CD and George Pickkins. Um, Jaden Blue getting some first team reps. I like that a lot. I think he adds some versatility and explosiveness for this offense. But, hit the like button, subscribe, and I’ll see you guys in the next one. peace.

Dallas has had their training camps in low heat temperatures in California. When Jimmy Johnson coached, they did their training camps in the heat of Austin TX. It produced better conditioned players.
