[SBJ] NHL signs DAZN streaming deal for international growth

NHL.TV will migrate to DAZN’s platform and be available as a standalone subscription or add-on package to users in almost 200 countries. NHL.TV is not available in the U.S., Canada or the Nordics (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden).

Eww. DAZN scummy company. Cancelling is a pain, and they (at least used to) charge you for 30 days AFTER cancellation
So how does this work basically if you’re in Canada this doesn’t mean anything?

Annoying to be locked in with a 100+ USD broadcaster with 99% stuff I will never watch or use.
I’d better not buy this and still not be able to watch every Hurricanes game. I had [NHL.tv](http://NHL.tv) for a year and I was only allowed to watch “high demand” games. I’ll wait and see how this works before forking out $100/month
Basically just seems to be a merging of NHL.tv into DAZN’s interface – it will still require a separate/add on subscription so that’s not exactly going to help with reaching new audiences..
I was watching hockey on this nhl tv for 10 years, one season there was this geo block or what it’s called and I tried swedish viashrot for a month and quit that season after that. viashrot was laughingstock, user interface was terrible, user experience was trash, video quality awful 10 out of 10 POS.
I have a feeling that this won’t be good…
Bad news, I’m in the UK and subscribe to both NHL TV and NFL Gamepass (which is on DAZN). Compared to the NHL’s current offering, DAZN is terrible and hasn’t improved in years. Their customer service is shady at best and the stream quality isn’t up to scratch…
Got the email about this move to DAZN… Just hoping there’s no subscription fee increase.
How does DAZN handle VPNs?
In some markets NHL.tv does not show every Game and in the past you could easily bypass that with a VPN
got the email 5min ago. currently no price information but the account is automatic transformed into a DAZN account.
DAZN is expensive. I don’t think they hit the current [NHL.TV](http://NHL.TV) price. and the most concerning think for me is on demand streaming from NHL.TV. currently SKY, who also shows NHL games, doesn’t have any on demand streaming. watch it live or you can’t watch the game. thats absolutely awful for me here in germany.
for example soccer in germany cost 25€ each month. that would be 300€ each ear. currently I pay a little bit over 100€.
if they take the same price I’m leaving NHL forever.
Used to sub to them during NFL Season. Worst experience. Streams would go down, cancelling was a pain. Just an overall crappy company.
Subscribed to DAZN for my son to watch soccer. It really sucks as a streaming platform.
I just love how the nhl always seems to find a way to make thing worse for their fans.

For some reason though I always thought DAZN was for strictly combat sports 😂
