New York Yankees vs Tampa Bay Rays | Game Highlights (7/30/25)

Will Warren going to make his 23rd start on the year. He’s been durable this year. You see the 104 and two/3 innings, 12 home runs, the 50 walks a little bit high, the strikeouts really high. Grounded to Chisum and that’ll do it. So a nice clean scoreless inning for Will Warren. High-f fly ball right field, sends it back, leaps, and he makes the play. Two outs. That wasn’t going to go out. Perhaps he didn’t need the leap, but he did make the catch. Got him. Pamro leaning and a perfect throw by Warren Deolpi. He’s out. No doubt about it. grounded and grabbed there by Rice. Flips to Warren to get the out. Moving to third is Walls. Really nice play by Rice. Line drive right field. It is a base hit. It skips into the corner. Wall scores easily. Lao is at second with an RBI double. It’s one- nothing Tampa Bay. Line drive. It is a base hit down the right field line. It goes into the corner and up against the wall. McMahon’s going for two and it’s a leadoff double. Rogers go and he wins the battle. Rice does. A guy who doesn’t walk people walks two in a row to load the bases for Bellinger. Ground ball. Walls and against Bellinger for the final out. Swinging a miss. Runner goes throw to second. It’s a strike him out. Throw him out double play. driven into left center field on the run as Mangum dives and makes the play. Taking an extra base hit away from Sant and a miss. Got him. Driven to right field. Low is there and puts it away for the final lap. No runs, no hits, no errors. One man left. We go to the six. served into left field. Dominguez is there and Warren pitches a one, two, three, six inning. Swinging and a miss. He strikes out the side. Soft ground ball charging is Vulpi. Fields, fires, and a nice he can’t come up with the ball. The scoop by Rice was not executed. And the Boobs are out in the bombs. Let’s see if that scored. And it’s an E6. Yeah. Rushes the throw a bit and Rice can’t pick him up. Swing and a miss. So De Los Santos picks up Vulpi by striking out Arondo. [Music] drill deep to right field. There it goes. See youa tie game into the second deck for Gisham. [Music] [Applause] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] Rip fair ball down the right field line. Kicks off the sidewall. Low plays it. He’ll fire in holding Rice to a sink. Farza pinch running for Rice. Farza is itching to go over there. Nobody out. Two count. Trying to get a read on Baker. There he goes. And that one is looped into center field. It’s a base hit. PZA will go to third. Classic two out hitting from Bellinger. First and third for the Yankees. Nobody out. [Music] The 2-2. That one is looped into center field. It’s a base hit. PZA scores. Bellinger stops at second. It’s an RBI single for Stanton. And the Yankees have taken a two to one lead. with the fast ball missed. So a lead off walk. There’s the tying run. Cavayo a threat to steal third as well. Highf five ball right field right down the line. And that ball is a home run. It snakes around the foul pole. A long two-run home run for Low. And the Rays lead three-2. [Music] High-fly ball left center. Dominguez back. He’s there and will put it away. But the Rays retake the lead on the long two-run home run by Josh Low. To the Yankees have a rally in their bones as we go to the bottom of the ninth [Music] and the pitch. Highfly ball down the left field line giving Chase’s mind on the track at the wall. See youa Bumpy has tied the game. It’s 3-3. [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] looped into center field and that’s going to dunk in for a base hit in front of Duca. So the winning run is on base and a push button. It is a beauty. The throw to first. Oh, what a scoop by Aronda to get Gisham. Don’t know how they made that play. Now they have the runner in a rund down and amazingly Wells has doubled up. Where was he going? Wow. What looked like a sure bun hit. You think that was a third out? Oh my goodness. He had to think that was a third out. Yes. Oh, unforgivable. The two-2 fly ball left field and deep. Dominguez back on the track at the wall. He makes the catch, tagging his walls. He’ll score. Moving to third is loud. Diaz goes to second, but Dominguez really held the damage down. Making a really good play for the second out. The 01. High-fly ball center field. Gisham drifts back. He’s there and he’ll put it away. [Music] Line drive. It’s a base hit to right field. That’ll tie the game. It splits the outfielders and it goes to the wall. Bellinger rounding second. He’s going to third. It’ll be a triple and the game is tied at four. [Applause] the pitch. He struck him out. Big strike out for USA. Infield backs up. Soft ground ball second base. La over to first and we go to the 11, but the Yankees tie the score on the triple by Bellinger. Ground ball is short. Vulpi takes the throw and that’ll do it as the runner is stranded. We’re going to go to the bottom of the 11. 44 and they will intentionally want Jason Dominguez to set up a force. There’s McMahon who tries to punt and kind of punches at it and fouls it off. Yankees have Rosario and Slater on the bench. Yankees were saying ball and you know what? They got a ball from Kelly. Yeah, Jazz Chism forced that one as he was dancing, threatening to steal third. He got the flinch right there. Well, now they don’t have the bunt. And that forces the Rays to bring the infield in. Oh, one. This should do it. Fly ball. Duca. He’ll let it go over his head and the Yankees win. Jazz Chisum will score. McMahon with the walk-off single and the Yankees in a wild game wins this one in 11 innings by a score of 5 to four. [Applause] [Music] concrete jungle with dreams. There’s nothing count. [Music]

  15. Yes, Volpe has thrown a lot of balls into the dirt this year, but I don't think any of his teammates playing 1B have ever dug one of them out. I miss Mark Teixiera.

  16. Dev's fastball has been off for a couple outings now… dude needs a breather or something. Wells ? that is THE problem with this team under boone.. man, I love boone but how does this type of stuff KEEP happening under his watch?? different players… same shit. Belli is the MVP… his swing reminds me of the warrior… POneill ! perfect fit. and can we give credit to the martian for finding some good ground in left? lost in all this is… another quality start for Warren… quietly building his image.

  21. If you want a definition of how this middle season has gone for the Yankees, this game is it. No offense until it matters. Errors and redemption. Bone headed stupidity. Bullpen buckling and breaking. And yet, AND YET this team does not give up. Somehow we're still in the fight.

    Weaver is the guy.
    And again with Volpe. GREAT clutch HR, but dangit…stop letting the ball play you. Attack the ball. You can see it. Not going straight to the ball and all in one motion throw, he lets the ball come to him and is awkward or on his heels to fire it to first.

  27. Last year Trea Turner was in a slump. Phillies fans gave him a standing ovation at the start of a game to show that they wanted to see him do well and believed in him. Yankees fans need to do the same for Volpe. The kid is talented and having a rough time. The booing is such a stupid cowardly way to try and get a player to perform. As true fans we should be holding our players accountable in a positive manner and not kicking them while they are down. You can see Volpe is trying hard and wants to help contribute. Yankees fans time to step up and uplift him.

  37. Volpe when he gets in his head he short arms the throw you can see it after he throws if the throw is going to be an error or not just by his arm motion

  46. You gotta know how many outs there are. It's arguably the most fundamental part of the game. That aside, way to grit it out and save that bonehead's behind. What a finish!
