Boise officials celebrate the opening of a new facility at Warm Springs Golf Course featuring a restaurant, pro shop, and a 5,300-square-foot patio.

BOISE, Idaho — City of Boise leaders gathered at the Warm Springs Golf Course Wednesday to hold a ceremonial ribbon-cutting of a state-of-the-art building for golfers and the nearby community.

The Warm Springs Grill + Golf facility officially opens to the public on Thursday, and it will feature a pro shop, restaurant with indoor seating, a full bar and event space for up to 60 people. City officials said the centerpiece is a 5,300-square-foot patio overlooking the 18th green.

“This is an incredible space that would not be possible without a remarkable $3.5 million gift and the longtime support of our golfers and association members,” Mayor Lauren McLean wrote in a news release. “We are proud to welcome the community here to golf, make memories and enjoy the beauty of the nearby Boise River and Boise Foothills.”

The new facility replaces the clubhouse, which city officials say has served the community for more than 50 years. The clubhouse will soon be removed, “and additional vehicle and bicycle parking will be added for the golf course and grill.”

Parks and Recreation Director Doug Holloway said the facility was designed to serve both golfers and the broader Boise community.

“Our goal from the start of this project was to create a place that our residents can be proud of,” Holloway said.

The energy-efficient building meets the city’s Green Building Code requirements and uses electricity for heating. The golf course also features a new fleet of fully electric golf carts housed in a cart barn.

A ground mural called “Confluence” by Boise artist Andie Kelly is being installed along the Greenbelt outside the facility’s entrance. The artwork, coordinated by the Boise City Department of Arts & History, is inspired by the Boise River’s natural flow and area geothermal springs.

Greenbelt access near the golf course is temporarily closed for mural completion and pathway repairs.

The Warm Springs Grill kitchen will be open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., serving grab-and-go items, lunch, dinner and weekend breakfasts. Brunch is available Fridays through Sundays from 7 to 10 a.m.
