It’s how you chop the numbers – not what the number is

I thought this was really interesting – the first photo shows dominance – yet none of the pitchers, while still good, made the hall.
In contrast here’s a dark stat about Stanton – but his company – but for steroid users – are all in the hall.

Love a good bar graph that gets bigger the lower the number goes
Jose Fernandez almost certainly would have made the hall if his life wasn’t cut short.
Curses graph
Bringing back fond memories of what an insane player Adam Dunn was
2 outcome hitter, strikeouts or dingers
Playing as him in MLB The Show just feels accurate as hell
I need to get myself a Jerry Koosman rookie card
I should get that Jerry Koosman guys rookie card
I’ll say this about the second photo, you have to be really good to strike out 2000 times. They don’t just let bums accumulate that much playing time.
I would have guessed Fernando Valenzuela would be on here but he had around a 2.60 for his first 2 years
okay but he’s 600 Ks out of first place with 4500 less plate appearances, that feels like a very relevant detail here
I don’t think Galarraga was making the Hall regardless of PED suspicions.
If you had asked me if Vida Blue was in the Hall, I would’ve guessed yes
Seeing JoFer still makes me sad about what could have been 🙁 don’t coke and boat.
To be fair, Vida and Orel are players you want to be around when it comes to pitching.
Skenes is so electric, but he just feels like a ticking time bomb for Tommy John’s. Reminds me of Strasburg a little over a decade ago.
Paul Goldschmidt to join this club shortly.
“but for steroid users- are all in the hall” is really misleading considering 4 of the 7 of them listed ahead of Stanton aren’t in the hall and Stanton had thousands of less plate appearances than all of them.
What a bunch of washouts /s
The only way they let you get 2000 strikeouts is if you’re doing lots of things really well too
Stanton could strike out another 2000 times and yet I’ll still always remember his 2017 year. Absolute stud.
Jose was great but he eventually hit a wall and stopped developing after that.
It’s gonna be a travesty if we don’t get to see this guy on a team that makes it to the post season
Curious how many innings per start is skenes compared to the rest
Not to take anything from Skenes but I’m curious how many innings pitched he had in those starts vs the other guys.
It’s unfortunate that G’s career has been marred by O many injuries. That man hits the ball like an anime protagonist.
Jose probably woulda made the Hall…dammit man, it still hurts.
Vida blueeeeee
How in the ever loving FUCK is Vida Blue not a HOFer
Sosa is not in the Hall
Big Donkey wasn’t a steroid user
Am I fucked or is the paragraph about Stanton impossible to understand? I think it’s saying everyone but the steroid users on that list are in the hall. But Adam Dunn wasn’t a steroid user. And he’s not in the hall.
Today I learned that Vida Blue and Orel Hershiser aren’t in the Hall of Fame
