  1. With Miller and Duran off the market, the Dodgers are targeting Pete today. That premium has to be through the roof. My only concern is that prospect value is wildly inflated. Look at last year’s fleecing of Jason Adam. Worst market inefficiency in the sport today. Lotto tickets for MLB talent.

  2. Out of our moves I recognize 4 of the 5 rays name and none of the names we acquired, except I now know Fortes as he played one game for us now and saw the miami play- ouch.

  3. Look at the Jays, they were supposed to be big sellers last year. Instead, they kept their guys, allowed them to work through slumps and now they can’t lose.

Do I think they’re a WS contender? Not really. But the Rangers and Dodgers showed you really only need hot bats to win in the playoffs and just enough pitching.

If we trade our vets, then we won’t do anything for years. You need some vet bats to do damage in the playoffs. Unless you have a rookie who sets records for hits and HRs, but I wouldn’t count on that again.

  4. Per Trade Rumors:

“Trading Littell, their only true impending free agent, is the obvious starting point. Closer Pete Fairbanks and second baseman Brandon Lowe are controllable for next season via club options. Shortstop Ha-Seong Kim has a $16MM player option. Yandy Díaz and Drew Rasmussen are each signed through 2026 with team options covering the ’27 campaign. Lefty reliever Garrett Cleavinger is arbitration controlled through 2027. It remains to be see how aggressively they’ll shop players whom they control beyond this season, but the Rays have the potential to make a significant impact on the deadline”.

  5. David Bendar is the one to watch. If the Dodgers get him, a Rays-Yankees trade has a ton of hoops so Pete would likely stay the remainder of the season. Pirates and Yankees are discussing him

  6. Yandy notice. Fourth inning, Yandy pulled and Morel pinch hitting. Still the same pitcher. No explanation given at time of posting this.

  7. Yankees getting Bendar. That leaves Pete the last option on the market if the Dodgers still want a closer

  8. At this point it will be a fail if Littell and Jansen are the only ones traded

  9. All we get back in trades is reclamation projects and 29 year old minor leaguers…not much confidence in the front office right now. This myth about the Rays front office being smarter than everyone else is outdated now. That’s when we had the full staff there…the last 2 years have been all underwhelming or bad trades

  10. Ray’s FO big brain move: if everyone is injured you can’t trade them away

  11. Ok boys, get your head out of your ass. Jake Bird just got two decent prospects in return. Please sell before we run out of buyers
