And if you have, if you’re new to our channel, welcome. Let’s start making you some money right out of the gate with this match up between the Washington Nationals and the Milwaukee Brewers. The Washington Nationals sending out Mitchell Parker for the start in this one. While the Brewers will counter with Jose Kintana, a lefty lefty matchup in this one. And Parker’s coming off a back-to-back decent starts. I mean, one out shy of back-to-back quality starts if he’d been able to do it against the Minnesota Twins. Five and two/3 innings, a two-run ball with four strikeouts. back-to-back wins for Parker in those two starts as well. But now you’re facing a pit a Milwaukee team that has really done some solid work against left-handed pitching in a lot of their recent games. If you look at their numbers basically since the All-Star break against left-handed pitching, this is a Brewers lineup that’s hitting 275, just outside the top five in batting average. The team OPS numbers are just outside the top 10. They have a low strikeout rate, 18.5%, high walk rate around 11.8% 8% and with Mitchell Parker, you know, walks have been an issue and, you know, I’m not really to just sort of jump back on him here, even though, you know, he’s had a couple good starts. He also struggled against these Brewers just before the All-Star break. Gave up seven runs on eight hits with three uh three walks. Didn’t record a single strikeout over four and two/3 innings of work and three career starts against the Brewers. You know, Parker has a 9.53 erra. Now, the one start that he did get at home back in August of last year was six innings of three hit shutout ball, but I still think that, you know, the Brewers are just the superior lineup here, you know, the Nationals dealt some players away at the deadline. The Brewers tried to, you know, get a little bit stronger. And for me, even though Jose Kintana struggled last time out against the Marlins, gave up five runs, only two of those runs were earned, gave a pair of home runs to a Marlins team, but really hasn’t been all that effective against left-handed pitching this season. You look at Jose Kintana in his career starts against the Nationals. He faced the Nationals three times last year and went 21 innings of seven hit shutout baseball in those three starts combined. Seven innings of shutout ball in each of the three starts. And you know, I think he can pitch well here. Like I said, still not sold on this Washington Nationals team, especially when you look at their numbers against left-handed pitching. You know, this is a national team that’s hitting just 183 in the last two weeks basically since the All-Star break against lefties. Team OPS numbers are second worst in baseball. Isolated Power numbers are second worst and their 32.1% strikeout rate is the highest in baseball. Jose Kintana not necessarily a strikeout dependent starting pitcher, but I think he’ll be good enough here. For me, the Milwaukee Brewers have a significant edge in the bullpen as well. I’m going to roll with the Brewers in this one on the money line and that’s going to be my free pick.
