Michael Jordan On Scottie Pippen Being His Best Teammate Of All Time

Scotty Pippen was the underrated, underappreciated Robin to Michael’s Batman. Through trial and error, through that kind of blast furnace that Michael would put people through, Scotty got tough. I would never be able to find a tandem, another support system, another partner in the game of basketball like Scotty Pippen. He was a pleasure to play with. He helped me so much the way that I approached the game, the way I played the game. Whenever they speak Michael Jordan, they should speak Scotty Pippen. when everybody says, “Well, I won all these championships.” But I didn’t win without Scotty Pippen.

  1. I disagree I don't think he was under rated he was simply playing with the greatest player to ever touch a basketball. The fact that his name is mentioned in the same sentence as Jordans is a testament to how good he actually was. Don't get it twisted he was awesome! Jordan just cast a big shadow.

  2. Aye yo mayne,
    Lil Wayne- “SCOTTIE PIPPEN”‼️
He let everybody, know mayne, about, “SCOTTIE P‼️”

Knock you off your f- high horse
Like a cold-blooded jouster, fightin' for my life‼️
Praying to the ringside announcer‼️”- Lil Wayne

  3. Isn’t he in the top 50? People have been given him his accolades for over 24 years. It’s he played with the top generational talent.

  4. Michael Jordan never saw Scottie Pippen as a Robin he saw him as an equal partner/teammate…
Everyone else in the world saw him as a Robin

  5. This is exactly why MJ was the GOAT. He knows that he has been made better by Scottie and he said it. None of the modern day players will hardly give their team credit where it's due. They're all about self self self a lot like the times that they're coming up in. All EGO and Jordan has always been different.

  6. Scotty ran the bulls system as the point forward. He was never unrated when they played. He was considered the best SF in the game.

  7. He was considered one of the greatest nba player and part of 50 greats and 75 greats… And they're still blabbering about him being underrated, unappreciated!! What more can he ask for?

  8. This audio and video makes the beef between them more crazy to me. Jordan credited Pip so much for his own success, yet Scottie found a way to be offended by the Last Dance documentary. I love them both and am sad over it!

  9. I was watching the Bulls vs The Knicks back in the 90s and when Pippin dunked on Ewing it was the best dunk of all time for me. If you know the back story then you know Ewing and the Knicks used to bully Pippin. Mike kept telling him to man up, and on that night he did. You had to have been there and see it live to appreciate it. It's my all time favorite….

  10. He was top 50, is currently top 75, the 3rd most important piece to the greatest NBA dynasty ever, part of the original dream team, all star and all NBA multiple times, considered 3rd best SF all time and HOFer…. that’s not underrated at all in my opinion.

  11. He’s def NOT under appreciated. He was named to the top 50 all time team and might not realistically be in the top 100. I’d have him in the 100-150 range

  12. Thats why its so sad what they r growing through now they could have one at least 8 r 9 championship period.cause pippen was growing by leaps and bounds when mike retired thats why everyone hated jerry krause so much you keep it going to someone beats you period.😮😢

  14. Isn’t most casuals argument that without Scottie MJ would have never won? Well, let’s go by the numbers in 6 final appearances Scottie averaged just around 16/8/4. While MJ averaged 33/6/6. I rest my case.

  15. When Mike went out after his father died Scottie Pippen was considered the Best Player in the League in 94-95! However Scottie throwing chairs and refusing to go into the game drew a fog over him by the NBA! David Stern wasn't going to let Scottie win the MVP behaving like that! YOU CAN'T BE THE LEAGUE MVP AND REFUSE TO GO INTO THE GAME TO HELP YOUR TEAM WIN BECAUSE YOU DIDN'T GET THE CALL FOR THE FINAL SHOT! THIS WAS IN 94 AGAINST THE KNICKS, AND AS YOU KNOW THE MVP VOTE COMES LATE IN THE PLAYOFF
