TRADE ALERT! The Washington Nationals Trade Closer Kyle Finnegan To The Detroit Tigers

The Washington Nationals have done it and traded away closer Kyle Finnegan to the Detroit Tigers. And yes, this was the correct move. I’m Ryan Clary from Locked on Nationals and the Nationals Troy away their closer since 2020. Kyle Finnegan kind of had his weird summer months. Typical as always, as he always falls off in the month of July, but the Nationals did end up selling him to Detroit. He will likely be a setup guy in the back end of their bullpen. But for the Washington Nationals and their return, there are a couple sources out there. We got the number 15 prospect in their organization, Josh Randall, a 2024 third round pick who is in high A as we speak. He got the promotion from low A. He is now with the West Michigan White Caps. Has 17 starts on the season with 80 and a third innings pitched. Again, Mike Dearlo did really well. And of course, the Washington Nationals, they are building up the back end of this bullpen. And hopefully they have those waves of prospects coming like we have always wanted.

  1. Just think about it we're going to be sellers again next year at the trade deadline. Because we're going to keep signing veterans for a 1-year just to flip them at the trade deadline.
We've been sellers for the last 5 years now, this has to stop.
