  1. It sucks losing Freddie but the Royals are undeniably better today than they were 24 hours ago

  2. Hurts?  I love the deal!  And Freddie ended up in a great situation too. He’ll be the top catcher on a playoff team and play in that amazing San Diego weather.

  3. I’ll miss Freddy but, I’m excited about what the new players will bring to our team

  4. For a team that didn’t make any splashy moves, I think we honestly had a pretty great deadline. We vastly improved our outfield and bench and added much-needed depth to our pitching staff without giving up much of anything in return. I’ll miss Freddy, but he was unlikely to be on the team next year with Carter Jensen waiting in the wings.

  5. I get it. I think what you’re feeling is real. But the silver lining here? I told my dad that, who was understandably upset, Freddie was a KC treasure, and now on the Padres, he gets to become a national treasure. Honestly, good for Freddie. He deserves it.

  6. I might be in the minority but I’m not upset at all, I mean he was a good dude but he was never the heir to Salvy and was wasting his career in KC. He just went from a career backup to a chance to make a whole bag of money as an everyday starter. Now if we traded Salvy I would be inconsolable, that would be like when the chiefs lost Tony G to me.

  7. It’ll be fun to watch him on the padres though I hope he shows out and they get hype for him
