[Kolek] San Diego, Thank you! This past year and a half has been nothing short of special for my wife and I. From making my debut as a reliever to growing into a starter, I can’t thank the Padres staff and teammates enough for helping me along the way.

great dude. he busted his tail in SD and overcame and kept getting better! kid showed a lot of heart in that year and a half.

This post gives me some tears. Watching Kolek get his groove in front of our eyes was very satisfying. His last game changed his life.
Will always be rooting for him. Many padres fans including myself didn’t always have a lot of belief in him but he did nothing but give it his all and carve a path for himself
He was a dawg while he was here. Good groundball pitcher who squeezed everything outta his arsenal to get outs. Maybe not the sexiest in terms of strikeouts but holy shit did we need him when our starting rotation got depleted

Hopefully Fermin is worth 2 good, young, pitchers. Looks like he’s a slight improvement that preller paid way too much for.
As one of the many fans who went from booing Kolek at Petco Park to jumping off the couch as he finished a CGSO, I wish him nothing but the best and am glad we only have to face him once per season at the most!

Kolek proved himself to be the real deal after a tough season in relief last year. Dude’s got what it takes if he can go through all that and perform the way he did for us this year.
