So, could the Golden State Warriors be trading away Jonathan Kaminga to the Phoenix Suns this 2025 NBA off season? Well, here on the screen is a tweet on X from Legion Hoops which says, “The Phoenix Suns are reportedly offering Jonathan Kaminga nearly double from the Warriors at $90 million for over four years per Evan Cidery.” So, there’s been a lot of speculation the last couple hours, the last couple days regarding uh Jonathan Kaminga and his future in Golden State. All signs point towards the Warriors offering him, I believe, I want to say a two-year contract for 45 million bucks. So, that’s about 22 a.5 per year, which is truthfully a good amount of money. But, it seems like Jonathan Kaminga and his camp do not want to be in Golden State anymore. Uh there’s been some reports and some rumors about him not even answering the phone calls of Golden State, rejecting their offers completely and it seems like at this point he has no no interest in being a Golden State Warrior for the foreseeable future. But of course money talks and times could change. Maybe the Warriors negotiations been pretty tough with them. I don’t know how this is going to go, but it’s been reported as well today as you can tell that the Phoenix Suns have emerged as potentially the favorites to land him in a signing trade this off season. So offering Jonathan Kaminga a $90 million deal for four years is the exact same dollars per year uh for what the Warriors are offering, but of course it’s double the salary. So a two-year term to a four-year term, the money doubles. 90 million bucks is hard as they know to. I also see the appeal as well. Uh the Suns of course did some moves this off season. They got a little bit younger. Uh they acquired Jaylen Green, Dylan Brooks. They of course obviously acquired uh you know maintained and resigned uh Devin Booker as well. I have a bit of a concern about the back court in Phoenix if they were to acquire Jonathan Kaminga. Having Kaminga, Booker, Jaylen Green sort of a lot back there at the guard position, but they can figure it out. I think Kaminga could definitely thrive with the change of scenery. I think Phoenix could be a good landing spot for him long term if he can kind of buy in to be a number two perhaps behind uh you know Devin Booker. Maybe he fits in with Jaylen Green. Maybe he could be uh you know the future of this franchise. Maybe the Suns look to trade Deon Booker at a future point if he performs well. So, the possibilities are endless. I did see a report as well that maybe the asking price was sort of around like Royce O’Neal, I think Nick Richards, and a bunch of second round drafts if I’m not mistaken as well. So, the trade package has been laid out. Is it going to be good enough for the Warriors? Probably not. But, at this point, their hands may be tied a little bit. So, what do you guys think a Jonathan Kaminga uh trade to the Phoenix Suns look forward to happen? I love the idea, but regardless, leave your thoughts.
