The Jacksonville Jaguars New Offense Looks DEADLY..
trails Cowboys. Harrison the block to the end zone. Caught. Touchdown. The rookie from LSU, Brian Thomas. Shader comes back the other way to Hunter. Makes the catch. Poor thing. Maybe it’s series to series. ETM the back. Third and eight. Right on the money. A complete overhaul of the front office and coaching staff makes the Jacksonville Jaguars one of the 2025’s most intriguing NFL franchises to watch this year. Week one. Check that out. Out of trouble to the end zone. After slimming out and getting younger at virtually every position, new head coach GM duo Liam Cohen and James Gladstone have flipped the offense on its head within a matter of months. After rejuvenating their offensive line and running back stable, they’ve gifted Trevor Lawrence with a fearsome wide receiver tandem for the touchdown for the goal line. That ball is going to be caught by touchdown in what should be a comeback year for the former first overall pick. All of this was masterminded by the architect of Tampa Bay’s top five unit last season and in this video is going to go over exactly why the 2025 Jacksonville Jaguars offense already looks deadly. Now, when it comes to evaluating where things went wrong in 2024 for this offense, there definitely is plenty of blame to go around on this team. But for starters, we need to begin with kind of the thing that they couldn’t control, which was injuries. The 2024 Jacksonville Jaguars had ridiculously bad luck when it came to the physical well-being of their offensive playmakers. Think is you’ve seen so many young guys have to play because of injuries early in the year. I think if you’re the coaching staff, you have to try and continue to talk about the posit. In week eight, wide receiver Christian Kirk suffered a season ending collarbone injury against the Packers. And after missing weeks two through five with a hamstring injury, star tight end Evan Ingram season was also cut short by week 13 by way of a torn labroom. After the touchdown run, he’s cut his receiver big time. The Jags huge free agent signing Gabe Davis met a similar fate in week 11, tearing his meniscus after making just 20 catches for the team that had signed him to a three-year $39 million deal mere months prior. And obviously the most damning injury that became of this team was the one that happened to Trevor Lawrence, the star-studded quarterback who they had just paid last off season. Tawa had just became the highest paid player in NFL history after agreeing to a 5-year $275 million deal in the 2024 off seasonason, but had failed to deliver on the hype. And yes, whether that was because his supporting cast was dropping like flies or his offense had simply become too predictable is still up for debate. Making matters worse though, Lawrence sustained an AC joint sprain in his shoulder against the Eagles in week nine, which kept him out of the lineup for losses to the Vikings and Lions. He was quote unquote healthy following the Jags by week, but it all came crashing down in his first game back against the Texans. In the Texans Jags game, you’re going to see Aziz Alshier come in and hit Trevor Lawrence as he was going down. Trevor Lawrence is clearly knocked out and his hands immediately go up in the fencing position. And a few days after that game, Trevor Lawrence was placed on the IR, ending his season after he played in just 10 games, going 2-8 in the process. Jacksonville did win just as many games without him. But every Jacksonville Jaguars fan could also go back to blaming all these injuries as to why they didn’t have a great season last year. Like, it’s not as if when everyone was available, this team was firing on all cylinders. Trevor Lawrence in particular appeared to have significantly regressed in 2024, failing to make the right decisions under pressure and leading to unnecessary sacks and negative yardage plays. And straight up, the quarterback wasn’t helped out by his coaches at all either. Doug Peterson would often delegate play calling duties to his offensive coordinator, Press Taylor, which coincided with a rough patch of form for the Jags, and this also served as a means by shifting of some of the blame off of himself. The offense was overall just incredibly ineffective in converting third down and short yardage situations with one of the weakest rushing attacks in the league. Just like his former college teammate Travis ETN significantly regressed in 2024, averaging just 3.7 yards per attempt with two scores, completely outshon by secondyear back Tank Bsby. Neither back was helped out by an offensive line that afforded them just 2.13 rushing yards before contact, which was the second worst figure in the entire league. Either way though, the Jags complete inability to establish the run game left an undue burden on the passing game, which after its receiving core was completely depleted by injury, did see one bright spot emerge in 2024. You see, Jack GM Trent Balky was infamous for his high-profile whiffs, such as passing on Aiden Hutchinson in the 2022 draft and grossly overpaying free agent signings. In 2024, he openly stated that, and I’m quoting this, the best team assembled by the Jacksonville Jaguars ever. And yes, that best team ever went 4-13. But one of his best hits last year was the selection of wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr., 23rd overall. The rookie earned a Pro Bowl nod as the Jaguars leading receiver with his 87 catches for 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns, all of which are franchise records. Doug Peterson didn’t do enough in 2024 to keep his job, but he had given the new regimen a serious weapon to build around in the receiving game so long as they didn’t squander the opportunity. And yes, that’s something easier said than done in Jacksonville, where Trent Balky was holding on to his job by a thread at the conclusion of the 2024 regular season when multiple head coaching candidates withdrew from the interview process, citing their unwillingness to work alongside Balky as the reason why the writing was on the wall for the controversial executive. And now without a head coach or a new GM in 2025, the Jacksonville Jaguars were basically starting 2025 with a new slate. Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Cohen, who had turned Tampa Bay into a top five unit during his tenure, was named the new head coach in January. And yes, even though he was one of those candidates who had initially withdrawn his application for fear of having to work alongside Balky, Cohen struggled to contain his excitement at his first press conference in Jacksonville. While Cohen will be calling plays on Sunday, his offensive coordinator, Grant Udunkski, will play a pivotal role in constructing and preparing this unit for game days. Udensky arrives from Minnesota where he worked under another disciple of Shawn McVey and Kevin O’Connell, meaning that there’s plenty of modern offensive brain power in this coaching staff. Conveniently for him too, Cohen was asked by the team owner, Shahed Khan, to play a major role in recruiting the next general manager with the objective being complete synergy between both parties. And when the time came, it was no surprise that the Jags selected a familiar face for Cohen from his time in LA. James Gladstone had served as the Rams director of scouting strategy since 2019 with a Super Bowl ring to his name by the age of 30. Now aged 34 though, Jacksonville made Gladstone the youngest general manager in the league at the start of the 2025 off seasonason. A decision that would soon provide the franchise with a muchneeded shakeup. Remember what I said about a clean slate? Well, not only did the Jags lack depth across the entire roster, but the offense in particular was littered with lucrative contracts in areas that could be replaced with players better suited for the team’s long-term planning. One of the most stunning moves of the offseason was Christian Kirk being traded to the Houston Texans for a seventh round pick. And yes, while trading a fan favorite to a division rival would never be advisable, Kirk did miss significant game time in his last two seasons with the organization. So getting rid of him and his massive contract did make sense. It was a similar case for Gabe Davis, who the Jaguars released after June 1st, which took his dead cap hit down from 20 million to 5.7 million in 2025. Arguably even more surprising, though, was the release of Evan Ingram, which served a similar purpose of offloading a pricey contract, albeit for one of the Jags most consistent playmakers. Not even Titan 3 Luke Pharaoh was kept on the board. However, there were more pressing developments elsewhere on the offensive line. Veteran center Mitch Morris retired after just one season in Jacksonville, while five-time Pro Bowl right guard Brandon Sheriff was released. He had been one of the few reliable pass blockers, but failed to make a difference in the run game, which will be one of the top priorities for the Cohen led Jags going forward. Furthermore, the guard commanded a premium price tag at the age of 33, which simply doesn’t suit a roster that Gladstone is trying to make younger. And don’t get me wrong, because all of those losses are pretty sizable losses, too. Especially when you look at the skill positions and the guys they lost there, such as Christian Kirk and Devon Ingram in the big picture. However, Gladstone wasn’t planning to leave the holes on the roster for very long. Jacksonville signed 27-year-old guard Patrick McCari from Baltimore on a three-year deal to replace Brandon Sheriff, while 26-year-old Robert Hany from the Tampa Bay Bucks was brought in to fill a vacancy at center. Although Hany fell out of favor with the Bucks last season, he already is familiar with Cohen’s system and has plenty of starting experience under his belt. At tight end, Jacksonville then signed Hunter Long and Johnny Mun on two-year deals. And in Long, the Jags are getting one of the league’s stronger blocking tight ends, who showed flashes with the Rams, while Johnny Munt will be very viable as a receiving option behind the emergent Brenton Strange who himself took huge strides in year two. It is unlikely that any single one of those players in Strange, Long, and Munt will replace Evan Ingram’s output, but it is the aggregate, so they should do enough to keep this offense turnurning. If Brenton Strange can stay healthy on his current growth track, Jags fans might just have the next elite tight end on their hands, too. But next game, a little bit tougher of a part, which was trying to find Christian Kirk’s replacement. Dei Brown does come in off of a career season in Washington, but he’s only on a one-year deal. Instead of shopping around the free agent market, the Jags chose to make the boldest move in this year’s draft. Starting their new era off with an absolute bang. We’re trading up in the draft. We’re moving from pick five to pick two. The Jacksonville Jaguars select Travis Hunter, wide receiver, defensive back from Colorado. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner has all the trappings of a franchise altering player. Not only did he help reshape the college football landscape, but his elite level play on both sides of the ball makes him a unique commodity at any level, let alone the pros. Questions did remain around whether he would be able to play corner and wide receiver once he reached the league, but Hunter certainly believes he can, and the Liam Cohen le coaching staff feels the exact same way. This type of calculated, aggressive move up from Gladstone sent a message. The Jacksonville Jaguars are here to play in 2025. And yes, obviously it costs a lot to move up to get Hunter, but if there’s one player in this year’s draft who warrants that level of optimism, it is Travis Hunter. So far from OTAAS and training camp 2, they indicate that Hunter has dedicated himself to learning the offense before taking on his defensive duties. But truthfully, it’s just his love of the game as well as the change in the air in Duvall County should fill the Jaguars faithful with optimism for the season ahead. Jacksonville didn’t pick again until the third round where they took cornerback Caleb Ransaw and guard Wyatt Milum, but both considered to be great value picks. At the top of the fourth, they then took Tutton out of Virginia Tech. Not only the fastest running back in this year’s draft and a great value pick, but also a perfect fit for the Jags revamped offense. And as Jared Fineberg of Sports Illustrated explains, Cohen’s offense works from the wide zone system and zone blocking scheme up from the front in the run game where the linemen are moving laterally and forcing tailbacks to use their vision to attack open creases and pop through with bursts and acceleration for big games. This worked brilliantly last year with Bucky Irving in Tampa Bay in his rookie year, and Tutton is a comparable build, but with a significantly higher athletic ceiling. Virginia Tech ran a similar scheme in his time there, which Tutton was able to exploit over the past few seasons. With the improvements to the Jagso line this off season, too, it’s hard to imagine him making an impact as a rookie alongside Allen, the doit all back that Jacksonville took in the seventh round. The running back room appears somewhat crowded now, so don’t be shocked if you see a late trade for one for ETN or Bsby, but all indications are pointing towards Tuten being a gamecher early and often. So now with all of these new additions too, the Jaguars have not only armed Trevor Lawrence with a young core of talent, but also provided him with a leadership determined to build around him and his strengths. With TA back at full health, the franchise quarterback can take his time and really grasp Cohen’s system as the Clemson alum has admitted there’s quite a steep learning curve. But with a deadly wide receiver duo and Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, a backfield that needs to prove itself after a dismal 2024 and a healed up Trevor Lawrence leading the way. Liam Cohen’s Jacksonville Jaguars offense looks absolutely deadly. Add in the fact, too, that they’re in one of the weakest divisions in football. And who’s to say they don’t challenge for the division title. The Titans have a rookie quarterback and no defense to speak of. The Colts have an unevitable task of trying to pick between just Daniel Jones and Anthony Richardson under center and have lost some important pieces on defense. And I mean, truthfully, Houston is the only real competition, but they stumbled their way to the division title last season as the best of the worst. So, in my view, the door for the AFC South is wide open in 2025.

I just don't see T-Law getting it together. I don't think he can read defenses.
Don’t give me false hope🙏🙏
Love you videos great work dude..❤
Jesus didnt say bad words so you shouldn’t since he’s perfect and you should wanna be like him. Jesus didnt hate people so you shouldn’t because Jesus is perfect and we’re supposed to model our lives after him. Idolize him.Jesus Christ loves and died on the Cross for your sins and rose from the dead three days later. We were supposed to die on the Cross because how bad we are as humans but Jesus Christ paid for that because he was perfect and died on the Cross so we can be forgiven for sins since we die to sins but we can be forgiven for them. Please read Romans 10:8-10 John 3:15-18 ask God to come into your life to be saved and Guide your life and to have a relationship with him. You can ask God for wisdom to understand more things and seek God so you can get closer to him by Seeking him and praying to him for guidance John 3:15-18 Romans 10:8-10 1 Peter 2:24 Ephesians. 2:8-9 Galatians 5:16 John 6:40 Romans 10:13 1 Peter 3:18

8-9.
Jags going to win AFC South
Great work, KRICH! Go Jags
Great job man, you actually did your research on my team. A lot of content creators get a lot of facts wrong about us in their videos. 😅
Travis Hunter will be a star in the making and a freak of nature!💯👍
It’s pronounced Tooten not Tuten
None of the coaching candidates cited baalke.
The person that quoted “The best jaguars team ever” was the owner shad khan not Trent baalke. Still bad whoever said it
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Dude they are still gonna be ASS
LeQuint Allen.
As a Texans fan. I do wish them success. Just not with us
Random fact that was missed. Tlaw lead the league in dropped passes. During the Chicago game in london, Gabe Davis dropped 3 TDs alone…
Jacksonville native, and im more excited than I've been in years, feels like we're finally on an upward trajectory
Honestly I'm glad we took travon walker i think he's about to really blow up
Trevor Lawrence finally has the support he needs! With Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter, this offense could easily be top 5 if everyone stays healthy. Can’t wait to see what Liam Cohen cooks up this season.
AFC championship game
Wow way to take my all views and basically how I structured mine with less tangents about other teams and more organized because it wasn’t a random idea
BTJ stats were NOT franchise records
The offense won’t be good if you have Trevor Lawrence as your qb 😊
I'm a TItans fan, just get that out of the way, but I hope you guys are awesome this season. I, of course, want my Titans to be better this season, but it would be even better for the division itself if they were both good this year. If only the Colts had drafted Shedeur…
No offense led by Trevor Lawrence will be deadly 😂
Texans didn't stumble to the playoffs 🤣🤣🤣
Trevor gotta make better decisions period
i hope trevor finally gets the season he deserves
looks alright until you realize who their QB is.. Daniel Jones with a long blonde hair wig on
