just about set getting the nod on the mound. Mike Soka and Singi, we were talking earlier about how he’s doing a great job navigating through tough spots. Yeah, and as whip tells you, he’s been pretty effective this year on the mound. hitters getting on base and then being able to really distract him and do damage in terms of getting around the base path. So, they’re taking the mound. This is a guy you want out there if you’re his teammate and I expect him to be good in this one. Knocks that one away and we’ll do it again. That one missed. This one in the air. House hauls it in for the Let’s take a look at the Brewers lineup. And a key factor for this club in that leadoff spot, Sal Freelick. Well, these days we know teams, you know, they put a game plan together for every hitter in a lineup, but a guy like this, they circle him, make sure he doesn’t beat you. Uh, so, you know, they put in a little extra time and effort and on how they’re going to approach him. He can be a huge difference maker when he’s hot. So, it’s going to be fun to see how they try to work him right here. Jackson Torio stands in now and watches strike one and that one fouled off. Swing and a miss. Struck him out. Out number two. Well, that’s the money maker right there. Two strikes slider down and away from a same side thrower as the hitter. I mean, that’s just tough if you’re looking to protect with two strikes and very difficult to lay off. Swinging a ground ball. Throws the first in time and it’s a one, two, three inning. Nobody left for Milwaukee. Now it’ll be Washington’s turn. It’s a scoreless ball game. You’re watching Major League Baseball on the show. Back here in Nationals Park pitching at our game today, Quinn Prester. Well, he’s putting together a really nice season on the mound. Erra RA in the low threes. Very respectable when you consider guys are looking to do damage. They’re not trying to just walk and hit singles. They’re trying to hit homers and draw walks and score runs. So when you have a guy that can limit the other team from scoring more than a few runs, that’s really tough to beat game in and game out. CJ Abrams, the leadoff batter, as he looks at ball one. Prester, 24 years old, a former first round pick back in 2019. The pitch ball two on the ground to third. Seagler zips it to first. One gone. Bottom half of the first. As we take a look at the Nationals lineup, not a team that usually sees a lot of pitches or works a ton of walks, Chris. They take a more aggressive approach than some of the other teams in the league. They definitely have a few free swingers in this lineup. Hitters who want to be on the attack, and that’s great as long as you got pitches in the zone. But if the pitcher is able to expand the zone, can be very difficult for an offense like this to get going. You’ve got to somehow draw some walks, put some runners on base so that when you do have those free swingers come up, you can cash in with some runs that are plated. Foul. That ball’s foul. Got it. And here this afternoon, two quickly away in the bottom of the first. Oh, that’s a curveball that people like to describe as a hammer or Uncle Charlie. You can see why. It’s not a looping slow curve. He throws it hard and it gets plenty of bite on the end. And now it’s Luis Garcia. line drive base hit. Makes the turn and heads for second. The throw in and that’s a double. Well, clearly he was ready to hit right there. Put a really nice balanced swing on it. And when you can rope one into the gap like that, you’re thinking extra bases from the first couple of steps out of the box. And he’ll feel real good about that one. And now the switch hitting first baseman Josh Bell. He’s been on fire at the dish lately. Batting over 300 so far this month. And that is out of play. Well, here’s a chance right here for one of the better hitters on this roster to get him on the board in the first thanks to the three-hole hitter extending the inning. Good at bat with two outs. I got a ball, one strike. And now one and two. Good late sink on that fast ball out of the hand. Looks so good. And then by the time he gets in the hitting zone, hard to get the barrel to it. Swings through it and that’s a strikeout. Second inning coming up from our nation’s capital. No score. Top of the second. Now it’s the DH Christian Yell. Christian Yelich. Sarroa back to work and there’s a foul ball. Next offering is in for a strike. Aside to home plate duty is Ricky Holiday. And something I’ve heard players saying about Ricky strike zone is how he will call the high strike. That could be something that’s tough to deal with, especially if you’ve got a pitcher out there coming at you with high velocity. Swing through that one. It’s a strike out. Well, he made pretty quick work of him right there. You look at the sequence, everything down at the knees and below. And some guys are good low ball hitters, but right there, they clearly had a plan to pound that part of the zone, and he wasn’t able to put up much of a fight. Andrew Vaughn now, he’s done a great job making contact recently, hitting better than 350 this month. in for a strike. 0 and one. Man, you’re playing with fire. Starting him off with the fast ball in the zone, but it didn’t end up hurting him. Second inning here. No score. Milwaukee. 0 and two now as he swings through it. That front door slider is such a devastating pitch. You don’t want to get beat by the inside fast ball. So you cheat a little bit and then by the time it gets there it’s out of the swing play. Strike three and that’s two in a row. Off to a strong start. Singing as he’s punched out three of the first five he’s faced. Well, he’s definitely minimizing contact. He can get the swing and miss when he needs it, but he’ll also keep the defense fresh behind him, allowing some balls in play as well. And that one is lifted in the air and makes the play and that’s out number three. So they make short work of him there. We go to the bottom of inning number two. We’re tied nothing nothing. And we’re back. And now the first base, Nathaniel Low. First baseman, Nathaniel Low. outside and it’s one and0. Right through there for a strike. That one ripped in. One hops off the wall. Should be extra bases. And that’s a leadoff double. Well, a swing like that can help you come out of the struggle. We saw the numbers coming into the ball game, but all he’s trying to do at this point is help his team win. Runner in scoring position. No outs. And now it’s going to be Brady House inside. Just missed. And a breaking ball misses outside. Low at second with nobody out. And there’s a breaking ball that drops in there. Nasty two slider there for a strike. That tells you he’s got a lot of confidence in that pitch. Foul ball there. That’s off the mark. Counts full. Three and two. Recognize that change up right out of the hand. Just spit on it. Swings here and drives one. Well, left field way back and you can’t forget it. A gigantic blast. Third home run of the season. And they jump out front. It’s two nothing. A good hitter gets pitch recognition early. He saw exactly where that was going to be. The challenge, not get over anxious and come out of your swing. He stayed on it and got all of it. So up next, Dalon Lyle. Pitch misses. One and0. Can be tough to bounce back after a big home run, but nobody on, nobody out. You just have to treat it as a fresh inning. Nobody out with a pair of runs across in the frame. Bottom half of inning number two. Hard hit right side. Sends it to first. One away. That ground ball may have him back on track after the home. Adams. Riley Adams getting ready to hit. There strike one to the catcher. There’s a certain point where you have to commit to what you think you see. And he guessed wrong right there. Nasty slider with just terrific bite at the end. Swing and a miss. One and two. One ball. One out. base is empty. Spoils a two strike pitch and he’ll see another hacks and misses. It’s a strikeout. Well, one of the things that hitters will do is they’ll look for that red dot on the baseball is coming in to let them know what the pitch is. And if they see the red dot, it’s typically a slider. But when a guy’s got a really tight one with high spin rates, very difficult to determine. And that’s probably why we saw a swing and miss right there. Just a nasty pitch. Gets the call and the count is 0 and two. Up the middle. Terra and save. He busted it down the line for that infield single. Got himself in great position and couldn’t have played that one any better, but just stood no chance with that great speed running down the line. So the lineup flips over here. CJ Abrams now 0 for one. He grounded out in his first at bat. That’s in there. One and one. Popped up to the left into foul ground. Seagler squeezes it and that is that. Nats pick up a pair in the inning on this two-run homer. It’s now a two nothing ball game. You’re watching Major League Baseball exclusively on the show and welcome back to the ballpark. This is Bryce Terra. He’s already set a new career best for stolen bases in a season. Chris fast ball for a strike at 95. Well, we call that keyholeing. Even though it’s right there and looks pretty good, if he doesn’t love it, he’s not going to swing that early in the count. Fun off foul. After scoring runs, this is where you’re looking for that shutdown inning. Get that hot team back in there to swing the bats. Breaking ball inside. And the count one and two. Got him looking. make it four strikeouts for him on the bump today. Really love the pitch sequence right there. I’m telling you what, pitcher and catch are on the same page right now. This is Anthony Seagler. Fast the inside corner for a strike. And that’s in the dirt. Two strike. Fouls it off. Still one and two. Fights it off. He’ll see another inside. Almost got him. Swing and a miss. Struck him out. He had him out in front, which isn’t easy to do against a hitter like this known for using the entire field. just couldn’t sit back long enough on that one. Joseph Ortiz in the box with two gone and takes a look at a called strike. Two outs. Base is empty. Slashes this one and it could be trouble around first. Heading for two. Throws to second and he starts his afternoon off right with a double. Everything came together for him. Pretty much just a textbook double into the gap. And when you can drop one in there between the outfielders, you know you’re making the turn at first. Just an excellent swing. Back to the top of the lineup. S Freelick now at the plate. First time up was a pop out. That missed by a lot. And that is ball one. Swing and a high-fly ball. Ragged field. Lyle makes the play and that’ll do it. Milwaukee leaves one and they’re down two nothing. As we go to the last of the third, here’s the left fielder, James Wood. James Wood. Popped up. Vaughn settles underneath it. puts it away for the out. Boy, that was a hanging breaking ball right there. I think he tried to do a little bit too much. Sometimes those eyes can get really big. I think his swing broke down as well and that’s what caused him to pop it up. Luis Garcia digging in for the Nationals. Doubled his first time. That misses and that’s ball one. That catches the corner. Ground ball up the middle and it’s through for a hit. So they get a man aboard with a one out single. Couple of hits in a row for him here. Once you get the ball by the pitcher, there’s a lot of base hits up the middle, even on ground balls. So a nice job to use that big hole and get himself a hit. Josh Bell at the plate now. Struck out swinging his first time. That one fouled off. Garcia leads off first with one away. Next offering is downstairs. Really good take especially with two strikes. Check on the runner. Garcia dives back in safely. Man at first. One away. And that’s ruled a swing. It’s a strikeout. Oh, that’s a pretty nasty curveball right there. And hitter didn’t look comfortable at all. Clearly fooled. Tried to check his swing and went around, but could have been called a third strike anyhow. That’s how dirty it was. Nice pitch for the punch out. Swing and a ball driven pretty well out towards left center. Reaching for it, makes the catch. Nationals leave one, but they’re on top two nothing. Back in Washington DC and now the center fielder Jackson Cho. He’s got pop which is a little sneaky because he’s so comfortable with taking his base hits to the opposite field but he can jump you if you make a mistake. Just missed. Chio measures 6 feet even 200 lb and he was born in Venezuela at 96. That pitch is in for a strike. Swing and a highf fly ball out there towards left field and puts the squeeze on that one. And there’s one down. And now it’s William Contrarus. Rolled out to second in his first at bat. And that’s in for a strike. It’s 0 and one. Base is empty. One away. Top half of inning number four. And that’s outside and one and one. And that one missing low in the air left field. Wood puts it away for the out. Just pulled off of it a little bit right there. That front shoulder coming open instead of staying closed. If he does that, he’s going to be able to go up the middle the other way with some authority instead of a fly out to left. Yell in the box here. Lets that one go for a ball. Good slider down and in can be so hard to get on plane with. You’re better off taking that pitch. Foul ball. Two outs. That one finds the zone and the count is one and two. And a swing and a miss. And a nice inning of work there as he sets him down. One, two, three. Brewers go down quietly. They trail it here. Two nothing. Back here in Nationals Park, bottom of the fourth, here’s the third base, Brady House. Brady House and a foul ball. Next pitch is downstairs. Well, these Nats showing great discipline at the plate and patience definitely seems to be the name of their game in this one. They’re doing a good job of working the pitch count and they’ve been able to push a couple of runs across to score as well. Next offering is fouled back. Still relatively early, but with a pair of runs already on the board, the ripple effect of that high pitch count might set him up to do more damage later in this game. On the ground right side, he steps on the bag. One up, one down. Good side run to that same side hitter right there. very difficult to put that ball in the air or get through it. Just bores in on the hands. And now up for Washington. Dalen Lyle grounded out his first time up. That one misses and the count even one and one. Yeah, there’s a ball too. Bounce to the right. Gets it to first. Already two gone here in the home court for the catcher Riley Adams. Two outs. Base is empty. Up now for Washington. Riley Adams. He was a strikeout victim his first time. And it’s fouled away out towards right center. That’s well struck. And in one ops the wall. Now he’ll turn for second. the relay and he’s there with a double. Man, those are the types of hits where you don’t feel any vibration in your hands whatsoever. Such a good feeling. He got a pitch he could drive, but he didn’t get too excited like a lot of guys do and pull off the baseball. Really good timing all the way through the swing and the barrel was so on playing with the ball. Easy drive into the gap for that double. So runner at second, two down and stepping in is the speedy Jacob Young to third. In plenty of time to first and that is that one hit, one left. We’re headed to the fifth. It’s the Nationals two and the Brewers nothing. And we’re back. Top five, John Shami with Chris Singleton. And leading it off, Andrew Vaughn. Sroa back to work late on that fast ball. The number three overall pick out of Cal for the White Socks in 2019. swing and a miss and it’s 0 and two. I think he was a little excited there. Saw the fast ball but needed a step ladder to get to that one. He’s going to have to tighten it back up. He wants to have a good at bat. Next offering upstairs. One ball, two strikes. They tried to get him to chase on a slider down and away and misses. Strike him out. B’s been racking up the strikeouts. And what’s so impressive, not walking anyone. I mean, this guy’s just going right after hitters, filling up the strike zone. And it looks like hitters, they’re trying to think with him, but they just are a pitch behind. dominating stuff out there on the mound. Isaac Collins up now for the Brewers. And that skips in the dirt. 10. The Brewers trailing by two and we’re at the top of the fifth. Short hop liner handled it short onto first and the first two set down in the top of the fifth. Now batting second base terrain. Next for Milwaukee, Bryce Terraang. Taking high in the draft. He’s had that top prospect labeled over him since he put on a professional uniform. But at some point that starts to go away and you’ve got to produce at the big league level. In there at the knees for a strike. That one way outside. One and one. The offense needs to start showing some fight against this starter. He’s doing his thing out there. They’re going to have to push back at some point and make him work a little bit harder. On the ground to the left. House tosses to first and Milwaukee is set down in order. Nobody left for Milwaukee. They trail things here. Two nothing. And welcome back to the ballpark ready to go for the last half of the inning. And now CJ Abrams and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter. And that’s in there at the knees for a strike. That one in the dirt. And that’s ball one. and downstairs. This guy’s a fun guy to watch taken at bat. He just battles up there. He doesn’t take a pitch off at all. Makes it so difficult on the pitchers out there. You can tell they get frustrated with how long it takes to put him away. Swing and that ball smashed on a line. Freeland brings it in. One down. Now batting left fielder James Wood. James Wood digging in for the Nationals. Go for two in this one. This kid picked up in a trade. A lot was offered and given to get him, but he’s got a real high ceiling. Ripped towards third. Throw sails over his head at first. Makes the turn and heads for second. And he’ll pull him to second safely. just kind of sailed that throw and pulled it across his body towards the right field side of first base. And usually that means the fielder just didn’t square up his shoulders to the target. And I think that throw had just as much to do with his footwork as anything else. One out, runner at second. Next to hit, Luis Garcia. Ball one there. Lined into left center and that should be extra bases. Wood headed for the plate. He’ll score easily in safely with a double. his second of the day. Well, here we are. Third time through the order and this is where we see the OPS jump up. Manager might have to go to the bullpen a little bit sooner than he anticipated. Manager out of the dugout now and it looks like we’ll see a change on the mound. Quinn Pester is done and he had a tough time keeping them in the ball game today. We’ll get a new arm when we come back. Now pitching for So the Brewers bring on a new pitcher from the pen, DL Hall. And he’s been really shutting down hitters from the right side of the plate this year. Not a lot of hard contact, not a lot of hits, period. Here’s Josh Bell who’s 0 for two with a pair of strikeouts. Right through there for a strike. Runner at second here. One gone. up the middle. Slings to first in time. Now batting first baseman Nathaniel Low. Nathaniel Low up to hit. And this is a big opportunity for him to pick up his teammate right here. First pitch swinging movement in Milwaukeee’s bullpen. Eastston McGee, the young right-hander up and throwing. Miserowski also throwing now a check swing but he held up one and one drive. Lunges for it but it drops for a hit. puts a run on the board and picks up an RBI. That pretty much split the zone down the middle and those are the ones where you got to make them pay. So, two down. Next to hit for the Nats, Brady House. He’s already homerred here in this one. That’s a strike across the top of the zone. Low the runner at first with two gone. And that misses. And now it’s even one and one. And that’s outside. two outs. Pulls the string with the change up. Struck him out. So, two runs on two base hits. One error and one left on base. Five innings complete. It’s the Nationals four and the Brewers nothing. All set for the top of the six. And now it’s switchhitting third baseman Anthony Seedler. Delivers a pitch in for a strike at 95. Well, he’s been incredibly efficient in this one. First pitch strike percentage over 70%. That’s well above league average and that’s what’s allowed him to pitch well up to this point. And down on strikes he goes. Strike out number eight. Oh, there’s a three pitch strikeout. He can do whatever he wants with the baseball right now. Shortstop, Joseph Ortiz. Stepping in, Joseph Ortiz. And a first pitch fast ball is in for a strike. Base is empty. One away. And we’re in the top half of the sixth. That one found hard the other way. blows the high heat past him. That’s a strike out. Gosh, here it is. Hit it. Three pitch strikeout. All fast balls. Man, he’s got a lot of confidence in that pitch right now. S Freelick digs in now. And that is downstairs. Ball one. Swang and a ball lifted in the air and that’ll fall for a base hit and that keeps the inning going. Now batting dominant performance for him today. Just two hits allowed so far. No runs across either. And he’s had an answer for just about every hitter he’s faced. So, I don’t think this hit is going to knock him off his stride too much. Two outs, runner at first. Jackson Chorio the next to hit. That one finds the zone. And that is strike one. This one in the air. Low. And that’ll do it. So, another good inning for him on the mound. Six shutout innings now. It’s the Nationals four and the Brewers nothing. Bottom of the six. Now it’s the right fielder Dalon Lyle. That one’s in there. 0 and one. Meanwhile, activity in the bullpen. Jared Kanig, the southpaw, is throwing and getting that sinker dialed in. And that drops in for a strike. No balls, two strikes. And that’s in the dirt. One ball, two strikes. The count swing and a miss. Got him to go up the ladder for the K. Thought it was a pretty good pitch. Top of the strike zone. We’re seeing more fast balls in that location. Hitters, especially with two strikes, have to be ready to pull the trigger. Adams up for the third time here. Watches that one miss. And another ball. Two balls, no strike. Swings through that one out in front that time. Two balls, one strike. Tap foul at the plate. That one is absolutely belted. Choro going back. Just missed it. Now batting the center fielder, Jacob Young. And now up for Washington, Jacob Young. One for two. Pitch misses inside and it’s one and0. He’s great hitting the ball the other way and that pitch did a good job to straighten him up a bit. Mission accomplished. That’s a little bit low. Two down, nobody on here in the bottom of the six. Next pitch misses and that’s ball three. And there’s the automatic. There’s the strike. We got a full count. He swings and drives one out to deep left field. That one back. Makes the catch up against the wall. New inning getting started. Here’s the Brewers catcher now, William Contras. He is a talented player. His big brother Wilson has voiced that his little brother may end up being better than he is. That misses the zone. Ball one. You can tell by their swings. This lineup is having trouble gauging speeds. Timing is everything in hitting and right now they just don’t have it. And it really looks like these hitters have been in between with their timing today. a good fast ball, excellent slider, but they’ve not been able to commit to one velocity and stay there. Comes up empty. That’s strike two. Cuts and misses. It’s a strike out. Boi just ran out of patience there. He took a couple of pitches to even that count off at two balls and two strikes, but that time chased outside the zone. Here’s Yelich at the dish. Having a lot more success on the road this season. This pitcher has done a good job of disrupting the hitter’s timing with a mix of pitches and changing speeds. You want to keep that front foot inconsistent for the batter. Their swings are hesitant and that’s exactly what you want on the mound. Oh, I think the key I mean if he can get through one more inning, anything after that a hitter or two is bonus, but they should be lined up good enough to get to the finish line. BS that off to the left and will do it again. I wouldn’t throw him another breaking ball. Try to go again with a fast ball. Slightly elevated. He just having a hard time catching up. Swings and misses on the fast up in the zone for the strike out. Definitely made him chase a little bit out of the zone right there. I don’t think that’s a strike if he takes it. Pretty textbook pitching. Get ahead in the count. Get the guy in the box on his heels and then force him to chase your pitch where he doesn’t have much of a chance to do any damage. And that one is lifted in the air. Young settles underneath it. and makes the grab. And that’s the third out. Now pitching for we’re back in a new pitcher here to start the bottom of the seventh. Jared Kanig has been so good against lefties. Here’s CJ Abrams to hit two for three in this one. Short stop. DJ Abrams first pitch swinging and it’s a knock and the leadoff man aboard baby now batting left field up now for Washington James Wood ground ball left side and foul ball. Kanig in his second season, he features a sinker, a cutter, a curb, and he works in a change up. And a foul ball. And one and two and that’s downed away. Two strikes. Abrams gets his lead at first. Nobody out. Inside and that’s ball three. He should get a pretty good pitch to hit here with the three-hole hitter coming up if he’s walked. That’s a good at bat right there. He was down early in that plate appearance. Works the walk. Base knock and now a free pass. This has the makings of a big inning if they can get a couple more quality at bats. First and second, no outs. Luis Garcia digging in for the Nationals. Three for threes, doubled twice and single. This is again five in a row. Well, he’s already in some trouble and falling behind in the count makes it even worse. Then you’ve got to throw the ball over more of the plate and that’s where they can really do damage against a guy like this. and misses inside. Could be some action here on this next pitch. Couple runners on. Probably a challenge pitch coming. Let’s go DC. Next offering is in for a strike. First and second here. No outs. In the dirt. Two two count three swing and a miss. Struck him out but no advance from the runners. Now batting designated hitter Josh Bell digging in for the Nationals 0 for three with two strikeouts and a ground out. on the ground right side. Four, six. That’s an out. Three. It’s a double play. And that’ll do it for the inning. So they can’t do anything with the leadoff single there. Eighth inning coming up. It’s the national score and the Brewers nothing. Welcome back and a new arm on the mound to start the eighth. Mitchell Parker and he’s got a nice lead to work with so he should come in throwing strikes attacking these hitters. Mitchell Parker digging in is the switch inning outfielder Isaac Collins. Isaac Collins Pop foul out of play off to the right. And strike two. 02 is the count. Next one misses. Now one and two. Activity in the bullpen. Luis Garcia looks to be getting ready for Dave Martinez. Swing and a miss. Struck him out and there’s one down. Well, classic pitch sequencing there to change eye levels for the punch out. That fast ball on the pitch before was up. It was very competitive and that gets you thinking that he might try to climb the ladder. But then the curveball out of that same tunnel just falls off the table and you can’t make contact. Terra in the box now. No balls in a strike. Well, I say it’s the best pitch in baseball. Strike one. You get ahead on a good hitter as well. Gives you a little bit more confidence to move to the at bat. And that’s downstairs. And it’s a ball and a strike. The Brewers down by four and we’re in the top of the eighth. Next offering misses and it’s two and one and a breaking ball drops in for a strike. Swing and a miss. struck him out at a splitter. Chance to strike out the side. Now you talk about the benefits, the advantages of relievers who can come in and get the swing and miss, whether it’s inherited runners or maybe a little jam that they get into themselves knowing that they can miss the bat. Tell you what, that’s huge and can change the ball game. And first off is fouled off. fans. Another and that’s three straight strikeouts. Impeccable command in that one. Three batters, three strikeouts. That’s electric stuff out there on the mound. back in Washington DC. Digging in Nathaniel Low. First baseman. Nathaniel Low. Kanik back to work and immediately pumps in a strike to the left-handed hitter. Swing and a chopper out to short in time. Devon and a quick out number one. Now batting third baseman Brady House. Next a hit for the Nats. Brady House. He’s already homerred in this game. That one pushed foul. Let’s go DC. One down. Base is empty. Swang and a miss. 0 and two. Fights that one away and the count remains 0 and2. to first and a couple of quick outs. Now batting the right fielder Don Lyle. Two down, base is empty. Dalen Lyle digging in for the Nationals. 0 for three with two ground outs and a strikeout. On the ground right side, Terra over to first. Nats go down one, two, three. Nothing doing it for Washington, but they lead it four to nothing. Back here in National Park. And now the short stop, Joseph Ortiz. This is a guy who’s in the lineup first and foremost because of what he contributes defensively, Chris. And when you talk about preventing runs from being scored, this guy is a big contributor. Right down to shoot and it’s 0 and one. I was always told it’s hard to take you off the field when you play really good defense, especially at a premier position. And that’s what he does. The hitting’s going to come around. He’s going to figure it out. But right now, his big asset is the way he plays the game on defense. And it skips in the dirt. Here’s a high-f fly ball out to center. Young balls it in and there’s one away. Up next for Milwaukee, right fielder Sler. He’s two outs away. And now the right fielder S Pick one for three headed towards the corner and that is a foul ball. Late swing foul to the left. stays alive. One down, base is empty. That’s way outside. One and two to count. And he couldn’t hold back. He’s run up on strikes. So, it’s their last chance in this one. Here’s the center fielder, Jackson Torio. That misses and that’s ball one. Two down, nobody on here in the top of the ninth. That one the other way. Makes the catch. Ball game. And the Nationals use two pitchers to combine for the shut out. Well, you win this one four to nothing. And it feels like you could have exploded for more offensively, but you also realize that at times it was hard to score. So, you get out of here feeling good about this win. Ultimately, there was great pitching and defense to keep that other team off the board. You always feel good about a win like this. A four nothing shut out in this one. For Chris Singleton and our entire outstanding crew here at MLB the show, I’m John Shami. Thanks for joining us. Heat. Heat.
