Just go back to the centralized draft but put everyone in makeshift offices on the floor. That way they get their privacy but we still have everyone there
Or at least get rid of that awkward Zoom call after every pick
I said in the r/hockey thread, they should have the actual draft itself without any media or any outside people at all, and then have a dedicated draft show later. They could even sell the draft show to ESPN or some other network(s).
The Media hated it I was there they couldn’t stop bitching about how long and terrible it was. 😆
the issue was the execution, it would have been fine if they didn’t do the awkward zoom meetings with the teams after
just follow the NBA/NFL draft approaches, it’s not that hard
Fine, try again i guess… but for the love of God at least try to learn from how brutal this last one was lol
Like maybe go through all of the picks in the first round before having a panel discuss picks? Pissed me right off missing my teams pick because they needed to breakdown the nitty gritty of a guy who was just selected 24th overall.
I understand the value of privacy with your picks and conversations. But there’s gotta be a way to have privacy and not have the awkward stupid zoom call. They can’t organize each team into their own rooms and when their pick is made they meet the player on the stage?
