New York Yankees vs Miami Marlins – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 3, 2025 MLB Season
Nobody’s even close to 500. Gisham’s ready. Cabrera’s ready. Let’s do it in Miami. And the first pitch is a strike. And we’re underway. The 2-2 driven deep to center field. Marcy back on the track at the wall. See youa. A home run. Trent Gisham. His 20th of the year. Yankees on the board. He’s batting fifth. High fly ball. Almost hit the roof. Wow. I lost that one. Michael, I’m glad you ground into first and they get Bellinger for round number. And down goes Stanton as Cabrera bounces back. Solid, good player defensively and offensively. Cracked to right field. Bellinger on the way back and he’ll make the play in front of the track. That one’s popped up. McMahon in foul territory for the second out. 3-2 lined into center field. Gisham right there puts it away and that’ll do it. Again, when you get doubled up, there’s really no defense. Line drive right field and Johnston makes the play. Swing and a miss. Down goes McMahon. On base percentage has become a thing even at the minor league level. Guys learn to work the strike zone, try to get on base. That one is ripped down the right field line. It is a fair ball. Hernandez scores. Paulie rounds third. He’ll stop right there. Throw comes home. It’s an RBI double for Johnston. And the game is tied up at one. Trying to get in, you know, when you can get him. You can’t rush through these. And that’s what happened there. The ball right down the middle. Base hit to center field. Paulie scores. Johnson had to hold up to see if high-fly ball left field tagging Johnston and the catch is made by Dominguez. Johnston will score. It’s a sack fly and it’s 3-1. Strike three. He’s down looking. So, a strike out for Heel. Popped up. Shallow center field and the second baseman Edwards makes the play. Here’s Austin Wells. High-fly ball right field. Johnston makes the play. Two quick outs. Highfly ball deep right center. Marcy back on the track. He makes the play in front of the wall and be evaluated by Yankees team position physician Christopher Ahmad. and they’ll kind of go from there. Right now, he’s not scheduled to have any strike three. Marcy down looking swing and a miss. 97 mph right by him. Two strikeouts in inning for Heel. That was in the first. Kind of scoops that one to first base. Almost the same as the first inning. Strike three. Standing down looking. [Applause] Now eight as he goes down looking. Another one, two, three inning for Edward Cabrera. Fly ball. Gisher makes the play. High-fly ball deep right field. Bellinger back on the track at the wall. See youa. A three-run home run for Sters. And Miami now leads six to one. Oh, this place has become a nightmare for the Yankees. the hours bail a little bit anyway to open up to see the ball from a lefty right in there driven out of the park for in those two at bats. I mean uh he had one tough night where he struck out but he’s been the run producer for the Marlins pretty much all year. Also a sack and McMahon swings and misses and down goes Wolby closer swing and a miss. He strikes out the final three batters in the inning. I was in the bullpen working with Paul today so loosening up the arm. You weren’t very impressed either, were you? Otto Lopez jumps on the first pitch and line fly line down the right field line. It is a fair ball. It’ll go into the corner. Marcy rounding second. He thought about third but stops right there as Bellinger gets it in. Highfly ball shallow right. Chisum makes the play. Two down. Soever screwdone over to third shallow center. Pulpy will make the play and that’ll do it. They got off to such a tough start early in the year. Edwards on the ground ball gets Gisham. One away here in the six. Right back to Cabrera. [Applause] It’s a choice. Soft ground ball. Cabrera fields. He’s going to tank it himself. Step on first base and the Yankees go down in order. One, two, training. Ground ball at third. And I think he could be a possibility of hitting a home run. And down goes Edwards. Sters down on strike. So Hedrickk retires the side. Highfly ball deep left center. Marcy back. He’s on the track. Turning looking. See youa. Chism goes the other way for a two-run home run. It’s 63 Miami. and Slater down. Strike three. And McMahon did not like that call. Strikes out for the third time. Line drive. It’s a base hit down the right field line. It’ll go into the corner. Meyers having trouble playing it out there. Bulpi is going for three and he will make it with a standup triple. which they have up in the pen. Fly ball left field. Sters will put it away and that’ll do it. But the timer’s day and ceremonies begin 11:30 with our coverage. Nice play there by McMahon. Oh, he took a double away from Ramirez and Ben Rice tags him out. Baseball. So, you know, you’re you’re down two games, but they go into Texas play good. It doesn’t matter who you’re playing. to meet you’re getting Aaron Judge back to the line on the Sters and now JT Brewaker runner goes no throw stolen base for Lopez. Ripped to center field. Gisham on the run on the track reaches up. Can’t make the play. Scoring is Lopez. Marcy is going for three. He will make it an RBI triple. It’s 73 Miami and the righty deals. Strike three. Hernandez down looking. Swing and a miss. Goldmith way highfly ball. Meyers out number two. Swing and a miss. Stanton down on strikes and it works as they should get a double play. There’s one on to first. It’s a double play. The O2 and Sters down on strikes. No runs to hit, no errors and one man left. Bocker deals. Strike three. Slater down looking. Two balls, two strikes, two outs. Swing and a miss. And the Yankees get swept out of Miami. An ugly three-game set. And the Marlins sweep the Yankees for the first time in their history. And the Yankees have to recalibrate as they head to Texas. This was not a good weekend. Now

Nightmare for the Yankees the history repeat a again
Dominguez looks absolutely lost in the outfield. He can't hit either.. Volpe is terrible. Goldschidt is terrible. Wells is terrible .. Yankees suck and need to bring up young players and make changes now…
No more boone
Ok im a mets fan but the people in the comments are kinda dumb, like good teams slump alll the time, bad teams somehow beat good teams all the time, its a long ass season so idk why people are saying they suck when they have been playing some bad games, i think people fkrgeg that its a 162 game season and that upsets and good trams getting swept isnt out of the ordinary.
Bye bye Boone your time is up.
Poechito esos yankees y tantos millones que invierten y dan pena ajena 😅😅😅😅
GO FISH GO
Too bad NYY can’t call trade backs on Jazz
Yankees are in playoff form
🧹🧹🧹🧹🎻🎻🎻
Good
Marlins, best record in baseball since June 13th. Back to .500 after being 16 under. Just the facts
Fire Boone. Team is unmotivated, lacks discipline and is just plain going thru the motions.
Might as well fire the whole organization
It was too obvious the Marlins were gonna sweep this series, it just felt like the Yankees mentally checked out for the weekend after Friday's brutal and embarrassing collapse to open the series.
Jazz gotta go, too flashy and cocky , if the boss and Billy were around, this would never happen
Love hearing the Yankee announcers make excuses
Que tristeza😢😢
The team is far better than last year but take into account injuries and that 💩 manager Boone! The Yankees care more abt personal loyalty than their fans. Let’s call it for what it is. Do anyone think if George was alive , this 💩 show that is the Yankees would be ? Boone would’ve been filing for unemployment along with other coaches!
Great series…thanks!
Un equipo sin garra, sin espíritu, sin béisbol, echados, flojos vergonzoso ver un equipo así.
The Yankees suck. Cashman needs to be fired
Yanks are done for season as of Aug 3 2025 Sunday at 559pm NY Time
Y cual es el jugador de los yankees que mete miedo en esa alineación.? Me avisan si lo encuentran, !!!ah, puedo esperar hasta diciembre si lo desean!!!
The last time Miami had a .500 record (8-8), on April 15, Xavier Edwards was the shortstop and Otto Lopez was the second baseman. Matt Mervis led the club in homers. Right-hander Cole Gillispie started on the mound, and Jesús Sánchez manned center field. Ninety-four games later, the Marlins returned to .500 (55-55) by sweeping the Yankees (60-52) for the first time in franchise history with Sunday afternoon’s 7-3 victory in front of 34,601. Right-hander Edward Cabrera recorded a quality start, while All-Star Kyle Stowers went deep and drove in a game-high four runs. The weekend crowd of 101,545 set a new three-game attendance record at loanDepot park, which opened in 2012. According to Elias Sports Bureau, the last Major League team to go from 16 or more games under .500 to a .500 record was the 2014 Rays. Since the Marlins fell a season-high 16 games below .500 on June 13, they have gone 30-14 – tied with the Brewers for the most wins in MLB. Edward Cabrera struck out seven in stellar outing and and improved his ERA to 2.32 since May 4. Miami’s lineup, which featured six rookies, provided Cabrera with plenty of run support. Sandy Alcantara pitches tomorrow against the Houston Astros (62-50)
The Yankeed lost, at least they had no errors.
Seasons over for us
Strikeout, weak ground ball and warning track power .Bad decisions and poor defense is their mind set right now and lack leadership to hold them accountable.
Without judge yanks are horrible. With Judge they are chanp. level. Sad 1 player makes a team the best or the worst
This is just sad the whole team needs to be sent down and bring up the minors I bet they play better smh
