Kansas City Royals vs Toronto Blue Jays – FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS | August 3, 2025 MLB Season

Bruce Dreman is the home plate umpire and this game is underway with a sinker inside for ball one. So now Basset’s got a pitch around that. First and second, nobody out for Vinnie Pasquantino. And here’s another ground ball. Bette will step on the bag. Throw to first and it took a pitch but in the air to right center and not deep at all. It’ll be Lerido the right fielder to make the this one sent to shallow left field and Rave is in to make Joey does run well and you don’t anticipate the strike out from Sand. There he goes. It’s strike three and a strike him out. Throw him out in the clubhouse before the game. He is not showing any symptoms of a concussion. That one hit to first. Guerrero’s got it. He’ll make the play himself on Perez. Seems to feel there are any concussion symptoms. This one is sky to shallow right. Lerido coming in battling the sun and makes the catch. Ground ball down to first. Guerrero will make another play unassisted and pass it as a one, two, three. Top of the second. the edges enough to force some onto the plate. Kirk will pop it up past Quantino coming down the line and in fair territory will lines it into left to base hit. One run is home. Baro is going to be held but now they’ve got Clement caught between second and third. And now they got Mario caught and the tag will be applied. No, now the out is recorded. Up walk in the first and that’s it. He has set down the next six hitters. Curveball fouled off. One and two. Gotto breaking ball away and he strikes out India and a high chopper to the left side. Garcia bare hands and gets him. A good play by him with one out for Mike Ystreky. This is line to left field coming on his straw to make the catch. Here comes Pasquantino and he’ll score this the 3-2 again. Strike three. 93 on the inside corner to get him. This one is lying to right. He’s hit it pretty well, but back on the edge of the track. A lot on his mind. Well hit ball left center field, but a great diving catch out there by John Rave taking a bid for an lifts this one down the left field line. Garcia, the third baseman, will make the catch and that’ll be ramp up and make his way back to the big leagues. Catch made by Bette and John Rave retired. September sounds far away, but it’s not that far away. 02 and a ground ball to third. Barger comes to get it. The play is to first. He’s punting. Yes. I’m glad for you. And he was way out in front of the slow curve and pops it up on the infield. And that’s a classic line drive center field. Base hit. Clement around third. On his way to the plate and in there. Lido to second. He is safe there. And the Blue Jays have the lead. Four hitters in the Kansas City lineup today are all left-handed batters. A bouncer to third. Bargers got it. He’s got a lot of time to throw him out. One down. Ground ball to the right side. A sliding stop by Clement and he’ll throw him out. Two down. Popped up. Guerrero and Clement are there. It’ll be Ernie to make the catch. Sent to right field and caught by Ymsky as Shriber has a one, two, three. Who may get up this inning. This one is driven to deep center. Varo going back and makes the play. And again, it really it keeps everyone available. Line to first caught by Guerrero. Two down. Got him down and in with a knuckle curve and it’s a three up three down. He said it’s been so long I can’t remember guys. Grounds this one up the middle. Did have a hit with it earlier here today. Ernie will go the right decision. I’m sure in the air to center and caught by Isbel. End of seven. Up another zero late. Kyle Isbel, the first batter he’ll face in a varan who comes right after you, came right after him in a 98 mph. The Blue Jays bullpen. You love the velocity, but I also love their secondary pitches to go with it. Grounded to short quickly. Two down. The Blue Jays have them through 20030 as Whit sharply into left field. Straw’s got to chase it to the wall and that will be a double for Benny Pasquantino. Fast ball and it’s lined into center. A base hit and Wit’s going to come in to score. So with round ball to short. Bett’s got it. And that’ll be out number three. [Music] Back to the fast ball. Hit sharply. Witz got a long throw and he made. So now it’s Barger with two on and two out. Fly ball to right field, but Gritic is there and the inning is over. The Blue Jay Blue Jay. So Perez still the runner. Loftton gets a bunt down. Barger will take the out at first. It’ll be five to right field. Lerido is there and makes the catch. Two down. popped him up in shallow right makes the catch. [Applause] Oh, what a play by Bobby Wit Jr. to take a base hit away from Kirk and he strikes him out. Just kept throwing. 98 up presumably not available today again after yesterday. seems okay. There goes Clement and Straw will lift a fly ball to right. Gritic is there and this ball game is going to extra innings at second. And that’s a fair ball inside the bag and down the line. And right away the Royals are going to take the lead. And it bounces past Lerido, but it’s not going to cost them anything. Isel had put the brakes on and [Applause] line into right center. A base hit and two runs are in to score. It is five to2 for the Royals. There goes Tolbert. Throw to third and it goes into left field. A run in to score. Tolbert comes around to third. Don’t know if Kirk kind of lost the grip to create a clear path. And now a fly ball to left center field. This will be caught by Straw, but Tolbert will tag and easily score and it is seven to two. That’ll be caught out by Clement out just beyond the infield. Might be a bit of a slugfest in that thin air. Bouncer to third off the bat of Nick Loftton, but the Royals get five. And a base hit into center for Lucas. Straw’s going to come in to score. Got to start somewhere. It’s seven to three. Swung on and missed and pops it out. This one might be playable. And it is for Perez. [Applause] Lucas will go and they’ll concede the bag. So Lucas into second on defensive indifference. Jose Bereios and Kevin Gosman will also pitch in that series. This one looped to center. It’s a base hit. Lucas will come in to score. Bette around to third. Best up. [Music] [Applause] grounded to short and that will do it. The Blue Jays get two but fall short. They lose seven to four in 10 innings here today.

  1. this is not a first place team. got cocky when they got lucky for 2 months, now they'll be lucky to end the season above 500.

  2. Many have said it but the $500 million spent on Vladdy is a complete abomination. Guy has zero clutch and does not deserve that payout.

  3. "The Jays ended up getting some bum pitchers who will not help the team". This was a quote from a blog of mine yesterday. Today's game echoed my quote quite nicely.

  4. Jays went from the hottest team in MLB to one of the worst teams in MLB. Fun while it lasted.. all us Jays fans can only hope for is to still make the Wildcard. I predict Jays and Yanks to continue to fall while Boston passes Jays before the end of this month.

  5. Jays can't score, can't pitch for peanuts and evidence of poor decisions making throughout the whole franchise.
Can't see them not getting humiliated on their travels.
The way they are at the moment they won't get to a wildcard. Boston will cruise passed them within days

  6. Jays lost 6 of 8 and were absolutely obliterated in 7 of those 8 losses. Let's just say they were no where as good as their torrid streak and this is team is quickly coming back down to earth.

  7. Probably the worst manager in baseball when it comes to making the calls regarding the pitching staff. Surprised that he didn't bring in Chad Green…lol…..relief pitchers have basically one job to do and that is to strike out batters. Dominguez did none of that. Hoffman should have been left in longer. It was obvious that Dominguez was going to have a bad outing right from the get go but again Schneider missed the boat. He is not baseball savvy in the least!!!!!!
