We tried so hard and got so far, but in the end it didn’t even matter
Pro tip maybe don’t wait until the 9th to actually show up
What an ending! Keep your beaks up, birds.
Made it fun at the end there, at least
All we can ask for at this point
I dont even care if we lose most of the games the rest of the season. Let’s just win against playoff teams, so chaos consumes
You know what, I like the Padres, and I want them to do well in the playoffs. If this is what I have to tolerate to see that happen, then so be it.
Under .500.
Are you not entertained?
It was nice of the Cards to score enough in the 9th to enable Suarez to come in a get a save. His agent should send our clubhouse a basket of mini muffins.
Having the tying run at the plate in the 9th in a game you were down 7 is not the worst thing that can happen for this team
Since June 1st, if my finger math is correct, we are playing under .333 baseball
Edit: my math is not correct but it’s not great
Half of our ABs were strikeouts. Yikes.😬
This team is not it
At least they gave us one good and fun inning of offense.
To think we were two games back of first place and like four back from best record in baseball.
Feels like years ago now
Congrats on winning the series, Mr. Shildt.
Saggese’s defense sucks. He’s not the answer to anything.
That Padres reliever gave up 3 runs in 0.0 innings pitched and his ERA is still 2 something.
It’s insane that their closer had the worst ERA of the relievers used, though I’m not sure how the way he pitched against us
Wack.
Stick it to us Shildty. We deserve it.
Call me crazy but I think getting a couple runs in the ninth shows something and gives momentum to the next game/series. Hope the Cardinals play a tough series against the Dodgers. Not upset at all that the Dodgers have a 3,000 mile flight home tonight. Tough day for Masyn with 3 K’s and two outs to the pitcher. Not sure if that line drive would have been a hit or a ground out to 2nd but at least he hung in there and didn’t get the “golden sombrero”. I look for him to have a big series in LA.
