My thoughts as JT rounded the bases.

  1. It seems appropriate after the 100-year-old fan throughout one of the first pitches. He was awesome.

  2. After quite a bit of criticism this season, Turner has quietly (until today) been very solid in his role. What role you may ask? No, not the “team vet” role, but the role of mashing lefties. Justin Turner this season against lefties:

    – .292 AVG
    – .338 OBP
    – .472 SLG
    – .810 OPS

    Post ASB OPS:
    – Turner .764
    – Busch .523
    – Seiya .512

The Reds have two lefties due up this series. I think it’s time to get Turner a couple starts.

  3. I was there. On rooftop. Last call in 8th. Didn’t have faith. On my way out, I heard the cheers. Dammit! That would’ve been a moment.

  4. He’s still trash. I cannot believe he has a roster spot on this team. I’m most irked that the Cubs hype team seems to think that we’ve forgotten how much this guy was a pain in the a** on the Dodgers. No good vibes.
