Justin Jefferson is embracing the transition of J.J. McCarthy as new Vikings QB π | SportsCenter
Welcome back to Sports Center. A full slate of preseason NFL action this week. We’ll get our first look at several new faces like that guy Ashton Genty and the Raiders on Thursday night. Genty, of course, had the second most rushing yards in FBS history last season. This game also pits Raiders coach Pete Carroll against his former team, the Seahawks. On Friday, we’ll see the Browns quarterback competition in action as they play the Panthers. Shador Sanders and Kenny Picket were limited in drills this weekend. Joe Flacco and Dylan Gabriel split the reps. The first pick in this year’s draft, Cam Ward, should see action Saturday as the Titans take on the Bucks. Ward’s 158 passing touchdowns were the most in Division One history. Two-way superstar Travis Hunter and the Jags will also be in action Saturday night. Hunters played both ways in training camp. In last Friday’s scrimmage, he played 17 offensive snaps and 21 on defense. A lot of eyes will be on JJ McCarthy in the Vikings Saturday. McCarthy missed his entire rookie season, now takes over a Vikings team that won 14 games last year. His teammate Justin Jefferson sat down with Lindseay Theory to discuss the quarterback change. And it is caught. Touchdown. Let’s go. A 97 yd touchdown from Sam Darnold to Justin Jefferson. How do you hit that reset button when you and Sam Darnold had a lot of success together and then there’s a change made and now you there is JJ who has a lot of accolades coming in but he’s a new quarterback for you. Yeah, it’s it’s a tough reset button but uh you got to push it. It’s something that I had to do with Kirk, you know, transitioning to Sam and the same thing from Sam to JJ. You just got to embrace it cuz it is going to be a challenge. You know, being with a new person, they’re learning your moves, you’re learning theirs. To the end zone. Touchdown. What can you do to help JJ’s job be easier as he makes that transition, catch the ball whenever it comes, catch it. That’s the the confidence booster for him. He’s still new to the system. You know, this is his first real year playing with us. So, it’s just all about, you know, just staying in his ear, making sure that he still has that confidence to go out there and sling the rock like he can. It’s like that fourth and 18. Just throw it up. You’ll go get it. Throw it up and I’m going go get it. He caught it. What a grab. Jefferson’s quarterback JJ McCarthy in in kind of rare company. He’s just the fourth quarterback taken in the top 10 who didn’t start a game in his rookie season since 1990. None of those guys had winning seasons in year two, but McCarthy joins one of the best offensive situations in the league. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]
On SportsCenter, Justin Jefferson speaks on the transition of J.J. McCarthy’s first year as the Minnesota Vikings starting quarterback and how he plans to help him.

get Justin Jefferson outta Minnesota
1st ππ
If you were born in the 1990βs, then you know exactly why lost shoes hanging on top of a powerline by the shoestrings means something. It means hope, bravery, never stop believing in your dreams, and never give up. These kids these days, Gen Z, theyβd just see that, say, bet, or cap, and then go back to looking at their IPhone plus, even 11 year olds, and then take Gen Zβers would say, Iβm NEVER having kids.
I'd love to see him on the Ravens man. I wish the Ravens would get a true #1 top 5 threat in the league.
Its a few viking haters i see
Brutal schedule for vikings and rookie QB Monday night first game vs bears.

Love Jetta but I love the Vikings for never giving him his own Burrow. My Bears probably wonβt do anything either but thatβs what rivalries are all about π
