So painful how winnable that was
What the hell happened to this team
Just anemic play out there the past month or so. They look really really bad.
Jed’s prized deadline acquisition has his arm blow up and the offense continues to sputter. Misery.
This team is feeling the pressure and they ain’t exactly rising to the challenge.
This offense is cooked.
“It might not be working right now, but don’t change anything, don’t get into your heads. Just stick to your approach, be consistent, and it’ll come to you.”
How Cubs batters have been coached for the last decade
At least Ben Brown looked good tonight.
Just tough luck! Always hitting them right at guys!
That’s baseball, go get em tomorrow!
The Brewers will cool down eventually!
Still a ~~97~~ ~~95~~ 93 win pace.
We have an easy schedule in the second half and the Brewers have one of the hardest.
Did I miss any?
About a .500 ball club for about 1.5 months.
Everything is going according to plan. They’re going to cough their way into a wild card spot and “luck” their way to the World Series.
Just like Toms favorite team, the 2023 Arizona Diamondbacks who didn’t even win it that year.
Can we bat everyone at ninth?
Guess what? Brewers didn’t lose.
I am officially worried and pissed.
You could throw 3 straight pitches down the middle against the top of our lineup right now and they’d still do jack shit. Every game looks the same, boring af.
Also, love how every Soroka chart showing his velocity going down for the last two months steadily was available for Jed and he still traded for him. Jed straight up traded for a fucking injured pitcher
This offense is ice cold. Coming into the game, Busch, Tucker and Suzuki were hitting .167 since the all star break and all went without a hit again. The top 4 hitters in the lineup were 0-14
If Tucker, PCA, and Seiya can’t hit any more we’re cooked
2023: fizzle out of playoff contention after sitting at a 92.4% to make the postseason after sweeping the Giants on September 6. 3rd straight season missing playoffs.
2024: miss the playoffs after poaching rival’s coach. 4th straight season missing playoffs.
2025: …?
These dudes couldn’t hit off a high school pitcher right now. Very embarrassing, pitching has held up but the offense doesn’t want to help. Time to have some uncomfortable conversations about Kyle Tucker. Dude has been an auto out for the last month and a half and only decides to get a hit when there’s 2 outs and nobody on base. (Single btw) he is especially bad with runners on base. I’ve been waiting for that clutch moment from him and he just doesn’t have anything to give. Whole lineup is terrible right now. Seiya has been awful, happ has been awful all year, dansby will hit a home run once every few weeks and then proceed to contribute nothing else, PCA slumping. Somebody has to fire up that damn clubhouse. And for the love of God what is counsells obsession with putting kelly in the clean up spot
Am I crazy in thinking that if Tucker’s hand is bothering him that much maybe he should take a stint on the injured list? It’s hard to imagine Caissie would do any worse than Tucker in his current state.
This team is 26-24 over the last 50. That’s a large enough sample size. Not a good team.
Soroka to the IL
Let. Jed. Cook.
Not really much to say about this game other than the whole top half of your lineup sucking at once is not conducive to winning
Brewers got three hits today and won.
