The Sox coming off a sweep of Houston and tonight take aim in the Kansas City Royals. The Red Sox have pulled within three games of Toronto. He was up right and that’s going to be off the plate ball. So runner at second two down and now it’s Alex Bregman line shot in the left field that will chase in another run. Toro will score Bregman with his second hit tonight. This one drives in a run. It is 7 to 1. It’s been a different Alex Bregman this year. Verse lefties in the previous three, he had struggled about a 2 2025 average for three years running Vers lefties but not this year. That sucks. Tattooing falter eight hits Garcia leads things off middle of the order against Brian Bao and he has kept the Royals off the board. Masino leads off the top of the eighth. Masino hits it high in the air deep right center field headed toward the red Sox bullpen. A Braves back to the track to the wall. It’s gone. Vinny Pasqua’s got a home run at Fenway Park and the Royals have their second run of the game. It’s now 8 to 2/19 home run of the season for Vinny Pasquin that ties his career high. Garcia one for three with a single, the payoff pitch fastball crushed deep to left field toward the monster and into the second roll. The Royals go back to back against Jorge Alcoa in the top of the eighth. Then he passino goes deep to right center, Michael Garcia goes to the monster and it’s now 8 to 3. Garcia’s 11th home run of the season first out in the top of the eighth and it brings up Mike Jastremski. The pitch, Yastrzemski hits it high in the air to the left field corner Durant races back on the track turns around, it’s off the monster and bounces back into left and mike Yastrzemski has a double. Now he hits for third. The ball bounded even farther and Yastrzemski gets all the way to third without a throw. It kept bouncing further and further away from Jaron Durant in left field and Mike Yastrzemski gets all the way around at third base with a triple. Here comes Cora, he cannot wait on three extra base hits did not want to have to do this, but he’s going to bring on the lefty wilson here is Frasier. Left hand hitters wilson delivers and Frazier slices it shallow center field that drops for a base hit scores. Adam Frazier has an RB I single. The Royals have scored three runs in the top of the eighth inning and it’s now 8 to 4 and crushes it deep to left center field headed to the monster and off the top of the wall. It bounds into center Frazier rounds third goes to second, no tag no throw home. Frazier slides in safely. Nick Lofton has an RB I double. The Royals have scored four runs in the top of the eighth. So the Royals are teeing off against the Red Sox bullpen here in the eighth, Alcala and now Wilson, here comes alex Cora. Is he going to Whitlock? Here he is. Why not going for it? Big time. He sat near his right ear, the pitch slider, high ball four, bring the tying run to the plate and Bobby Witt Junior and they were chanting, let’s go Red Sox not too long ago now, they are reigning booze and Bobby Witt Junior make them louder. The Royals are down 8 to 5 at one point. They were down six nothing. He throws line drive to right field. That’s a hit. A Braves got the huge arm. He’s going to come up throwing, they send the runner and he’s through a stop sign, a great tag baseball guards at Fenway. What a mistake by the Royals and an absolute howitzer by Abreu in right instead of the bases loaded. The Royals run themselves out of the inning. This is loaded Patino coming up and you run into the out two down top 985. Red Sox Chapman one out away ground ball to third fielded by Torro on the first, the Red Sox win again, that’s six in a row 8 to 5. The final knocking off Kansas City. You got Harry there in the eighth inning. But the Red Sox bring chapman in to close it out. They win it eight to keep it rolling.
